Pyrgos Exclusive Villas is a charming complex comprising 4 villas, each offering 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with a maximum capacity of 5 persons in each villa. Nestled within this complex are magnificent two-bedroom villas, each providing an extraordinary view of the mysterious Libyan Sea. These elegant rural villas offer guests a breathtaking vista of the Libyan Sea, creating an impression that Africa is just a stone's throw away. The famous village of Plakias can also be admired from these villas, as there is nothing to obstruct the panoramic view of the infinite blue sea in the southern part of Crete.



Perched on a hillside, Pyrgos Exclusive Villas enjoy a privileged location that will captivate every visitor seeking awe-inspiring sea views and relaxation. These villas are situated a mere 2 km from the renowned organized sandy beach of Plakias and approximately 3 km from the village itself.



The interior decor is characterized by simplicity and minimalism, while the outdoor areas offer great comfort. The villas are visually pleasing from all angles, inviting guests to relax in the living room or by the pool, where they can never tire of gazing at the blue expanse of the southern sea and its romantic sunsets.



Each villa features a one-story layout. Upon entering, you'll find a living-dining area, an open-plan kitchen, and a modern shower/WC. In addition, there are 2 bedrooms—one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds and an en-suite shower/WC.. All bedrooms are equipped with individual air-conditioning units and flat-screen TVs. Each room has direct access to the veranda and the pool area. From there, a staircase leads to a spacious shaded patio with a barbecue and spectacular views.



The pool at each villa measures 18 sqm. These villas are licensed by the National Tourism Organization.



The surrounding area is blessed with some of Crete's most beautiful beaches. The nearby renowned beach of Preveli, with its unique palm forest, and Damnoni are just two of the exceptional options. Majestic gorges, historical sites, and cultural attractions can also be found in the vicinity.



The picturesque village of Plakias, located just a few kilometers from Rethymno, offers numerous tourist attractions. It boasts a wealth of taverns, restaurants, bars, mini markets, car rental agencies, and outdoor activity providers.

The views were incredible from the villa. Truly, truly stunning. Our stay at Pyrgos Exclusive 1 was deeply disappointing. While the property likely once had great potential, years of inadequate maintenance have left it in a poor state, far from justifying its premium pricing. Outdoor Issues The upstairs dining area, though potentially lovely, lacked basic essentials like a fridge and cutlery, making it nearly unusable. A broken manhole cover in the main pathway was hazardous, and the main door was so poorly maintained we had to leave it unlocked. The pool appeared neglected, with discoloration suggesting algae, and both of us returned home with ear infections. The sunbeds were old and unstable, with one collapsing entirely despite prior crude repairs. Indoor Issues The villa was plagued by an overpowering smell of damp, particularly in the bathrooms, where poor drainage and broken fixtures added to the discomfort. Cleanliness was also a concern—shaving hairs in the sink and random pubic hairs in the bed on arrival were unacceptable. Missing mattress slats and loose toilet roll holders reflected a general lack of care. It’s evident the owners rely on the property’s photogenic appeal to attract bookings while neglecting ongoing maintenance. The issues were too extensive to fix during our stay, and it’s clear an overhaul is long overdue. Unless the owners address these problems, we wouldn’t return and cannot recommend this property to others.

Herrlicher Blick und viel Privatsphäre

Das Haus is so wie beschrieben. Toller Blick schöner Pool. Die Betten waren super. Es waren eher kleine Dinge , die nicht so ansprechend waren, wie zusammengewürfeltes Geschirr, ein altes Schneidebrett. Was uns gefehlt hat waren ein paar bequeme Lounge Möbel, obwohl es den Platz dazu gibt. Es hat uns aber sehr gefallen und wir würden wiederkommen.

Unterkunft mit sagenhaftem Meerblick

Wir hatten das Glück wunderschöne 14 Tage in dieser Unterkunft verbringen zu dürfen. Ich kann mich nur den vorhergehenden Kommentaren anschließen, das Objekt hat eine super Lage und einen Ausblick, an dem man sich nicht satt sehen kann. Die obere Terrasse lädt zum verweilen ein, am Abend kann man laue Sommernächte genießen. Mit der Aufteilung und Ausstattung waren wir sehr zufrieden, der Pool hat eine angenehme Größe und wird täglich gereinigt. Die Bettwäsche/Handtücher werden ebenfalls regelmäßig gewechselt und die Räumlichkeiten werden von einer lieben Putzfee in Schuss gehalten. Wir hatten einen späten check out, hier war man uns ebenfalls behilflich und ist unseren Wünschen entgegen gekommen. Es war jetzt unsere 2. Buchung über Oreo Travel und auch dieses mal lief alles wunderbar und ohne Probleme. Vielen Dank an Oreo Travel und das Team vor Ort! Ich bin ein totalere Tiermensch und würde mir sehr wünschen, dass man in dieser Anlage eine kleine “Futterbar” für Tiere aufstellen würde. Dann besteht für mich die Möglichkeit dem ein oder anderen Tier eine Mahlzeit raus zu stellen und es ist auch für die anderen Urlauber ersichtlich, dass die Möglichkeit besteht, ein Tier zu füttern, wenn man es möchte. Ich verstehe auch die Argumente, dass man Ungeziefer oder andere Tiere anlockt aber wenn man füttern möchte, dann tut man es auch so. Ich finde es auch erstrebenswert, wenn man als Urlauber die Möglichkeit für eine Spende hätte, die dann der örtlichen Organisation zugeführt wird, die innerhalb des Tierschutzes die Tiere abholt und sterilisiert und wieder aussetzt.

Zeer verzorgende en representatieve lokatie.

Via VRBO de reservering gemaakt en kreeg al direct een heel vriendelijke reactie van de eigenaar en bevestiging. Klantcontact verloopt snel en soepel en ik kreeg altijd binnen een uur een reactie. Afgelopen jaar diverse malen contact gehad en verliep altijd duidelijk en correct. 14 juli aangekomen in Plakias en wat zijn dit mooie woningen! Heel verzorgd en met een super uitzicht! Dagelijks komt er een vriendelijke dame het zwembad schoonmaken en spuit het terras schoon. Bedden, douche, keuken: het is allemaal meer dan prima en door de grote ruime schuifdeuren van alle kamers (incl. horren) kan alles goed doorwaaien. En je zit boven op een berg met fantastisch uitzicht op de zee en daarbij komt het dus dat het er eigenlijk 24/7 waait. Maar dat waaien hebben wij als weg aangenaam vernomen want de momenten dat het windstil was, is het echt heeeel warm! En daarbij houden muggen, wespen en andere vliegbeeesten niet van wind dus die hebben we ook gezien en dus geen last van! Tip: huur een SUV en geen Nissan Micro ofzo, de bergen in Plakias en omgeving zijn super mooi om te rijden maar er wordt wel wat power verwacht van je auto en ik had een Toyota Aygo en die moest echt aan de bak! Ga zeker het kasteel in Rehthymnon en Old Twon bezoek, Spili en het strand van Ammoudi Beach! Wij hebben besloten om volgend jaar terug te komen!

tres belle maison avec vue exceptionnelle mais fort vent qui ne permet pas d'en profiter

La maison est fabuleuse, bénéficie d'une vue exceptionnelle 👌 conforme aux photos , elle est tres bien equipée et de tres beaux materiaux. Le gestionnaire a été disponible et reactif malgre notre arrivée tardive.👍 il aurait fallu trouver un petit mot à l'arrivée pour préciser que la clim ne fonctionnait que les portes fermées ( du coup nous l'avons derangé alors que si c'etait ecrit le mode d'emploi ca evitait son deplacement ); donc cette maison est parfaite , les deux seuls bemols sont * une personne rentre tous les jours sans etre prevenu pour nettoyer les piscines et faire le menage . la premiere fois ca surprend et c'est genant de trouver quelqu'un alors qu'on ne s'y attend pas . Il faudrait peut etre prevenir dans l'annonce que quotidiennement et que ce soit à une heure precise il y a une personne qui vient nettoyer ! mais on apprecie que la piscine et la maison soient toujours propres * Nous sommes restés dans cette maison 5 jours et malheureusement pour nous il y a eu pendant 5 jours un fort vent en continu ( rafales 130 km/h) - JOUR et NUIT donc nous n'avons pas pu profiter de cette belle piscine comme nous l'aurions pensé ( uniquement possible une demi journée sur l'ensemble de notre sejour. ) est ce un endroit tres venteux ( car des que l'on se deplacait pas de vent ailleurs )ou alors pas de chance que le vent se soit manifesté ces 5 jours... ? ce qui du coup nous a laisse un petit gout amer car une telle vue et une belle piscine...et ne pas pouvoir en profiter nous etions decus mais la meteo ne se maitrise pas . * une petite remarque a faire peut etre prevoir le lit double dans la chambre parentale et pas l'inverse . voila pour nos commentaires mais la maison est vraiment tres belle et j'espere qu'il est possible peut etre d'en profiter sans vent de temps en temps ...

Very rough to get to

The house/pool is pretty. Unfortunately there are several cons. 1st, there is NO sign telling us the name and/or number of this location. Upon calling for check in, we were told we were in unit #1. But none of the three indicated which number they were. We were also told the key would be in the door. It was not. We had to call NUMEROUS times to finally get the owner to come in and get us in the property. 2. Getting up to this house is a challenge more so than I expected based upon the pics. Just note that may be a concern for some people. We had to take dinner home each night as to avoid this road going up the huge hill. 3. The set up of this house is "odd" and require you to go up and down a spiral staircase each time you leave or come back. We didn't even take our luggage into our room to avoid having to get it down the staircase.

Insgesamt gut, toller Blick, leider ging aus den Bildern und der Beschreibung nicht genau hervor ob Villa Ena nun die erste von links oder von rechts ist, es war leider nicht die mit dem erstklassigen freien Blick auf die Bucht von Plakias vom Pool aus. Pool war leider zu kalt, aber dafür war das Meer ja noch super warm! Die Ausstattung war gut, gefehlt hat uns nur der Grill :( Im oberen Bad hat es ziemlich aus dem Abfluss gemüffelt, aber das haben die Vermieter nicht gerochen und auch nicht behoben, naja. Es wurde täglich geputzt, Müll geleert und Handtücher gewechselt, also super Service, aber für uns nicht so relevant.
