About this property

Romantic farm in the Sienese hills

"Podere Poggiolo" is located on a green Tuscan hill on which it "rests" and to which it therefore owes its name. It is just outside the medieval village of Trequanda, a pretty village overlooking the Sienese hills and from which you can admire Siena in the distance. Of this place, my parents - both non-Tuscan - fell in love 35 years ago and for this reason they transformed this ancient cottage into the country house of our childhood. Today none of us live in Tuscany anymore, but Podere Poggiolo continues to be a meeting point and, at the same time, it has become a "holiday home".

It is open to all those who want to stay in a place where you can breathe a story, to those who are not afraid to leave home computers and television to enjoy the company of those around them, listen to the music of the crickets in the evening and be enchanted under the sky of Trequanda, nowhere else so clear and full of stars.

It has been recently renovated, but the typical warmth of the Tuscan farmhouse with its exposed wooden beams and ancient terracotta throughout has remained intact. The family furniture and the objects that make up the furnishings tell the rest of the history of this place.
There is a green space with plants and flowers and a nice table where you can sit outside, a barbecue where you can prepare a nice Chianina to taste with excellent local wine and oil.
For everyone, the swimming pool is open from June and September and your 4-legged friends are absolutely welcome!

Gemischt.Sehr gut: Zentrale Lage, viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten (Siena, Cortona, Arezzo Pienza).
