Not worth price

Spacious, but not totally child friendly. Glass top dining table not secured and will topple over if child leans their arms on it. Dining chairs are broken, usable but not comfortable. No plug/stopper for bathtub. Headboard in second bedroom not attached and fell when child leaned against it. Had to wash all dishes before using. Will stick to rooms owned by individuals vs a company, seemed like cleaning was not a top priority. Elevators are slow & there are only 2 for each building, be prepared for very long waits, especially since this room is on 20th floor. Most waits were less than 10 min but we did wait over 30 min during peak check in/check out times. No coffee pot in room and the described onsite coffee shop was closed our entire visit.

Spectacular View, Fun Resort

Overall our stay was wonderful. The resort itself is very nice - the pools and kids' splash areas are great! Nice bar with really good food is very convenient but also very pricey. The beach (with chairs/umbrellas provided for a nominal fee) is a short, easy walk very close proximity to the water; very well maintained. Plenty of showers to remove sand before entering the condo. Fun, fun! The condo itself is very nicely laid out, quite spacious for a 2 bedroom; and, on the 20th floor, the view is breathtaking! HOWEVER....the condominium (especially for the cost) was very poorly maintained: beds were terribly uncomfortable (my back still hurts) with visibly old and worn out mattresses, cheap linens and bedding all balled up and uncomfortable and absolutely no extra bedding, blankets, nothing. Sleeper sofa...with no bedding. One bunk bed had sand in it while the others had hairs and debris on sheets. No rugs in bathrooms; only 6 bath towels and few wash cloths; ONE dish cloth...no dish towels, no drainer. Black, slimy disgusting sink stopper. No working can opener, very few utensils - no knife to cut a watermelon. No kid friendly dishes and glasses. Outdated TVs with 10 remotes, none of which worked. Furniture poorly arranged - very crowded and uncomfortable. Most of the lamps and lighting did not work. A dirty mess, really. And no way for us to even clean it without going out and buying supplies such as a broom given the one provided was worn to a nub with a tiny busted dustpan. Disappointing in this regard, hence 3 stars overall. Had the condo been alright it'd have been a 5.

Very nice condo. The room was not clean upon arrival but the property management agency sent a team out to clean it immediately. Very nice stay!

Don’t count on “bonuses”. If Panhandle Getaways manages the property find something else.

The property was great, our family enjoyed it. The listing stated 1 free activity per day and Dave N Busters credit daily. I called the Panhandle Getaway office, messaged them multiple times and no help there. I was told they no longer offered those items because they didn’t partner with ‘them’ anymore. Regardless, it was promised in the listing and was part of the reason we chose this property. Taking 7 people the free activities was promising for us to be able to do more things without spending so much. If you advertise it, you should honor it. I won’t book with VRBO/Panhandle Getaway in the future. I will look for other avenues to rent at the same property.

Great company

Even though there was a glitch in housekeeping the 1st night, Panhandle personnel worked with us and agreed to refund the 1st night’s cost. They were very nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Panhandle and this property.

A few issues

Property was great everything was great.. except when I told them about a few issues they said they would get it resolved and never did... ice makers didn’t work, screws coming out of the door hinges on one of the bedroom.. fridge and front door didn’t close properly. The tv’s wouldn’t turn on at all

Great place

Only issue was our room had not been cleaned (white chairs dirty, beds slept in, hair in shower, food in frig) but before we could call down to the front desk, a rep was knocking on our door to do a walk through. She saw it was not clean and had it addressed immediately. The room was amazing!

Not much to really say about it

I expected much more from this resort. The pictures online made the place seem much nicer. The Good: - Rooms are really nice and have plenty of space. - Kids loved the lazy river and splash pads. - Fitness Center is decent with a nice view. - Alvin's Island onsite helped out a lot. You can get things for the beach and kids without having to drive anywhere. The Bad: - Only two elevators, get ready to spend half your vacation waiting in line. - Check-in progress is a nightmare!!! Waited two hours because the door has an automatic lock which is set to open at 4:00. We called the agency to see if we could check-in a little early and they said it would be unlocked at 4:00. Funny thing, about 5 minutes after speaking to them the door unlocked and it was 3:40. If the room is ready on the day of check-in why not let the customer check-in early? - Avoid the tiki bar, you spend $10 on house liquor drinks! I just feel like it was overpriced for what we got.

Fantastic Place For Kids!!

The overall was really good!!! The complex is amazing! The room very nice had everything we needed and overall clean. Couple things to keep watch for showers had mold as soon as water hit it it started coming off the cleaning people just need to do a better job keeping it clean. The sliding door in the living area when open so far is very hard to close probably just need WD40. I have seen this a lot and I want to add to it too the issue with the elevators are HORRIBLE!! They honestly need 2 additional elevators. We were on the 11th floor and sometimes had to wait 20-30 mins to go up or down. And this wasn't between check in or out times even longer on check in times. The staff was very friendly and helpful. BEST POOLS EVER AT A BEACH!!! The kids had a great time at all the different pools especially the young ones with the kids splash part!!! We will be back but I know now we will only get rooms on the 5 floors or down so we can use the steps.
