The Santa Maria Villa consists of 1 & 2 bedroom self-catering apartments, situated in a peaceful residential villa area of Mellieha, known as Santa Maria Estate. Mellieha is the situated in the northwestern part of Malta which is a very popular tourist destination during the summer months. It was voted as a European destination of Excellence in 2009. The traditional village “Festa” is celebrated on the 8th September.

Santa Maria Villa is just 5 minutes walk away from the main street, where one can find Bus stops, Super markets, Catering outlets, Bakery, Pharmacies and much more. Once at the main road bus routes to the Cirkewwa quay, which then leads to boat transportation to Gozo and Comino, are easy accessible.

Mellieha is famous for having the best beaches in Malta like Mellieha Bay, Golden Bay, Paradise bay, Armier Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha and Imgiebah bay are only 3/4 kilometres or 30 minutes walk or a short bus ride away. At the top of the street is a busy hive of shops, bars, restaurants and a beautiful church. This main street has transport links across the island including the X1 airport transfer bus.

These villa apartments form part of a well-secured fully-detached corner villa where the owners live on the upper level, which is independent to the apartments itself.

This 1 bedroom Villa apartment is built with terrace equipped with sunbeds and outside furniture (tables and chairs), for our guests to enjoy their meals outside.

The apartment has shower enclosures and toilets, kitchen, dining and living areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, a hob, an oven, a 4 ring stove, a toaster, wash hand basin and a microwave. Linen, towels and kitchen cloths are provided and changed weekly. Ceiling/Standing fans are provided (at no extra charge) and TV with basic cable TV channels is present in the living area.

These self-catering apartments are on ground floor each with their own sun patio and garden furniture for one to enjoy his daily meals outside. The communal swimming-pool which measures 8m x 4m, can be found on the same level as the apartments, making these holiday apartments suitable for families with children.

Free WiFi is available throughout the Villa and a washing machine is available without charge for guests staying at the Santa Maria Villa. Weekly Linen and changing of towels are provided to our guests. All apartments are air conditioned, which is optional, Usage of air conditioning this is additional paid by Euro coin slot MERTER. (Ceiling/Standing fans are provided free of charge).

Lovely, quiet apartment, the walk down to the beach is about 30 minutes. The swimming pool was very welcome after the walk home. I'd recommend a car or getting the bus home. Lots of lovely restaurants in Mellieha, with a great choice of local dishes.

Idéalement située pour visiter le nord ouest

Bonne taille pour une ou deux personnes. Super emplacement pour les randonnées de cette partie de l'île, déjeuner en terrasse ensoleillée, à l'ombre le reste de la journée, je n'ai mangé que sur cette terrasse. Piscine nickel pour se rafraîchir apres les rando. Appartement (n3) en retrait de la rue. Si c'était le mien, je remplacerai la porte entre la chambre et la salle de bain par une coulissante, pour le côté pratique. Et j'ajouterai un tuyau d'évacuation de l'eau de la climatisation qui goutte au pied de la fenêtre de chambre, pour arroser les plantes, et éviter le bruit ploc ploc ... Propriétaire discret. Procédure d'arrivée simple, la clé était sur la porte. Boite à clé pratique pour ne pas emmener les clés en balade.Je ne regrette pas mon choix

Wunderschöne Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön. Der Besitzer ist super freundlich. Man konnte schön draußen frühstücken oder auch am Pool entspannen. Es war super leise, auch nachts. Alles in allem super war es eine wunderschöne Unterkunft.

Très bon emplacement permettant un accès rapide aux différents sites de Malte et de Gozo, proche du centre de Mellieha tout en étant dans un quartier calme. Environnement agréable. Le séjour s'est très bien passé sans mauvaise surprise. Nous avons été très bien accueillis malgré notre arrivée tardive.

Tranquillité, à recommander

A quelques arrêts de bus des plages et du ferry pour Gozo, nous avons apprécié la tranquillité de cette location et profité de la piscine.Nous avons été bien reçus par Lourdes et Joe, qui se sont chargés de la réservation du taxi pour l'aéroport, le transfert étant de nuit.

Bon rapport qualité-prix

C'est comme dans les photos, propre et confortable, mais un peu serré pour l'enfant qui a son lit dans la cuisine. Le matin, le soleil y est très brillant dès l'aube, mais Joe nous a fourni des tapis de plages qu'on a coincé dans la fenêtre de la porte, et ça a fait l'affair. Les lits et orreillers sont de qualité. Tout ce qu'il faut dans la cuisine, télé et connection wifi fonctionnelles. Belle petite piscine très appréciée dans la chaleur accablante d'été. Salle de bain ok, mais le parterre était tj un peu innondé, et ils pourraient mettre quelques crochets en plus. C'est trop loin de la plage de Mellieha pour s'y rendre à pied, mais les bus (climatisés!) sont très fréquents dans la rue principale, et on fait le trajet en 15 minutes. Joe nous a parlé d'une autre petite plage plus près, mais on n'y est pas allés. Joe et Lourdes étaient bien acceuillants et réactifs à toutes nos questions et à nos besoins.

Kindly note that we have found all the rubbish of the week inside the apartment, and other disorderly, like beer cans/glasses around the pool area and playing music around the pool. Also they have broke the washing machine door.
