A lovely, spacious house with everything we needed for a comfortable holiday. Raymond was very helpful both before and during our stay. We particularly enjoyed relaxing by the pool in the afternoons and evenings.Nadur is an interesting town with few tourists but a good range of restaurants. The grocery shop is very near the house. Parking was easy to find in the nearby streets. Overall a great place to stay, and we'd love to visit again!
The description on the site does not do this property justice. Wonderful accommodation, very spacious and in an ideal location within easy walking distance of the local square.
We absolutely loved our stay. The house is gorgeous and the pool area beautiful and secluded. Parking is easy and all the shops you need are so close by. Coffee or drinks in the square was so convenient and we had a wonderful meal at the Fat Rabbit.
We spent a week in this large home, well located in the town of Nadur. Everything you need is within walking distance including public transportation. The swimming pool in the backyard is very nice and perfect for warm days. The interior of the house is well laid out with ample space to accommodate large families.
The house was lovely and as expected from the pictures and overview of the property. Great location to get to the amenities. Parking was never a problem. The only issue we had was noise overnight from dogs barking and cockerel’s talking earlier in the morning and workmen starting very early.

Beautiful Town with Wonderful Pool
We have recently returned from a wonderful family holiday staying at this lovely property. Raymond the owner was brilliant and the service provided was excellent. This traditional town house was in an excellent location close to the town square for cafes and a few shops. Yet it offered peaceful seclusion in it's private walled garden with it's lovely good sized pool. The bed's were really comfortable and the house was beautiful and very spacious. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to experience the real Gozo. Nadur also has some great restaurants within easy walking distance and we had a wonderful meal at the nearby Italian restuarant Osteria Scottadito. Thank you Raymond, we had brilliant stay at Ta Kolina and would not hesitate to return.
Everything about our stay was perfect, from our helpful and accommodating host Raymond, to the extremely well equipped and cared for house, to the large skin friendly swimming pool. Raymond was easily contactable and answered queries promptly and with friendliness and humour. The location of the house couldn't be more perfect, barely 1 minute takes you to the village square, where you can have a wine, coffee, snack or meal and watch village life unfold. I will absolutely return to Ta Kolina.
We were returning to Ta Kolina for 6th time and it was as brilliant as always. Raymond was attentive as a host and always responded quickly if anything was needed. Highly recommend staying here.
Perfect location. Walked to dinner every night. Drove to plenty of indoor or outdoor activities within 10 to 25 minutes. Ferry is 8 minutes away. Malta was nice, but my husband and I came for an anniversary trip and really loved the options on Gozo so we could have as much downtime as sightseeing.
Owners were wonderful, checked in on us without being prompted. Very responsive.
I looked at a number of properties on Gozo, read reviews and decided on Ta' Kolina.
Everything about the stay was great. Communication with the owner was outstanding. He arranged pickup and drop off, as well as a hire car to be at the villa.
The location suited us admirably, just metres to the vibrant square where we were able to sit out for meals or drinks, use the local shop for provisions and order quality takeaway pizzas.
Other reviews describe the villa and I agree with them.
We visited many places from churches to the Citadel, beautiful coastline to beaches and places of architectural interest. It is easy to drive around.
One thing worth a mention is the proximity of the fast passenger ferry service to Valetta making a day trip there easy.
Wish I could be there again right now.
Fantastic property in amazing location - it will not disappoint !!
Ta Kolina is so spacious and such a beautiful property. Fabulous pool - starts off shallow and slopes to 2m! We spent so long splashing about in the sun! The house is so close to shops and restaurants....brilliant, I couldn’t have asked for more.
Nadur itself is beautiful, especially at night, all lit up with the pretty bulbs. Small grocery shop just literally at the end of the road as well as a butcher with a bigger grocery store just a few minutes further down the road. I can recommend The Fat Rabbit for some fantastic food, Osteria Scottadito (right opposite the fat rabbit), Fliegu for fantastic pizza and amazing views across to Comino.....we found it was worth booking At all as they get quite busy, especially after 7pm. However even when we didn’t book they fitted us in at 7pm so long we were done by 8.30, which was fine for us with kids! Wish we went to Al Capo Pizzeria which is just round the side of the Fat Rabbit but we missed it, looked great for lunch!
The local bus service was great and only a 5 min trip to Ramla Bay (bus stop is by Mekren bakery, you want the stop on the opposite side of the road from the bakery, number 302...when you come home you again catch the 302 and this time get off at the stop just a few steps after the bakery - same side of the road as bakery). The bus stop is only about 5 min walk from the villa so it’s extremely easy to find. Ramla Bay was perfect - fantastic ice cream vans for after and great waves, safe swimming. Raymond is so helpful and always on hand if you need anything. All in all one of our favourite holidays.
What an amazing property! It totally exceeded our expectations and it was like living in a little castle. The house is packed full of character! The bedrooms were extremely spacious and the living areas superb. The pool outside is just perfect and there are plenty of sunbeds to use. Location wise, it couldn't have been better. Amazing food and drink mere yards away and very reasonably priced too! The maritime museum across the street is a definite must.
We absolutely loved staying here and will definitely be booking again. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy Ta Kolina.
We chose Ta Kolina for its village location. We were not disappointed it was a beautiful location just off the square. There was enough in the village to keep us busy. Great restaurants and bars and village sports club proceeds for the youngster of the village also local village shops and butchers which had fresh excellent food.
We were made very welcome in all the bars and restaurants. We would recommend this village.
The owner Raymond came to visit us, he and his wife were really nice
Really enjoyed our stay here. Well-equipped and furnished property in delightful location. Could benefit from air conditioning downstairs but well worth a visit. Would definitely stay again
Look no further for a place to stay on Gozo. It was like staying in your own private castle. The location is incredible. The property is in Nadur town centre just 20 metres from the town square but the property is in a small side street and is extremely private once you step in through the front door. The property has everything you need and we spent many a happy hour as a family by the private pool which is secluded.
As a host Raymond is second to none. Although we never met he was always on hand to give advice or make recommendations. Superb.
Nadur itself is an excellent location to base yourself on Gozo. The house is a 10 minute drive from the ferry port when you arrive then the rest of the island is easily accessible from your location. Nadur has a couple of small bars in which the locals are extremely welcoming and there are three excellent restaurants within walking distance. We tried them all.
We have stayed in Malta for the last 8 years and I have to say the Gozitan people are far friendlier. When taking our grandson out for a walk many people would greet you have a conversation.
If you want to stay in a traditional home in an excellent location, eat and drink in excellent restaurants and meet extremely friendly people then stay in Raymond's house Ta Kolina in Nadur. It really doesn't get any better.
The whole process was simple and the questions to Ray (the owner) both before and after we booked his home we’re answered very quickly.
The bedrooms are all large (with air conditioning) and the hallway and staircase is very impressive.
The pictures don’t do the house justice and the pool area is great and the pool clean.
The village will provide most of what you want, although not sure everyone will enjoy a whiskey with the owner of the shop (out of the door and turn left - 50 yards) as I did when I popped in just before closing on our last day!
A small welcome pack was a surprise and warmly welcomed after our journey.
We will be coming back.

Lovely relaxing holiday
A homely feeling house. Would stay again. Recommend earplugs - the church bells do clang quite a lot but it’s part of Gozo’s charm.

Home from home
We had a wonderful time at Ta Kolina as always. This is the 5th time we have stayed at this villa and we love it. We love the pool especially, the staircase, the facilities, the bedrooms! Kitchen is fully functional and it makes it a dream to cook.
Raymond Attard (the owner) is a lovely friend who always makes sure he visits us in person to see if we are OK, as well as keeping in touch on facebook, and he brings us alcohol! :)
We have made many good friends in Nadur whom we love dearly and they are always pleased to see us return. Special mention to Peter at Rabokk who always 'knows a man' and serves excellent food ... pizzas are to die for! Paul at the corner shop is cheaper than the big supermarket and makes us feel so welcome. Lino the butcher is so helpful with his advice on local fresh meat and how to cook it.
We love this place and have so many happy memories to cherish. You will love it too I guarantee it!

About the host
Hosted by Raymond Attard
After ten years as an air traffic controller, now managing director of a frame moulding import and manufacture on the Island of Malta, together with my wife Marianne have been hosting guests at this beautiful house for these past eighteen years with many of our guests coming back year after year.
Why they chose this property
Ta Kolina is a period house which has also contributed to Nadur's history these past hundred and twenty years. It still beholds a lot of the character it had when it was first used at the beginning of the twentieth century. We have converted it to its present state year 2000.
What makes this property unique
The house is very centrally located in Nadur, next to all amenities from bank, mini market, pharmacy, restaurants and within a five to seven minute drive to Ramla l Hamra, Gozo's largest sandy beach, San Blas, Dahlet Qorrot and countless other small inlets and coves. Gozo, being an open air history museum is just a stone's throw away from all the important places to visit during one's stay.
