Casa Nicola is a stunning house with pool offering flexible accommodation, perfect for several families or groups of friends. You will be renting the entire property and will enjoy total privacy with spectacular views.

Casa Nicola is just an hour from Pisa and Florence airports. It is the perfect base to explore all of Tuscany. The mountain setting provides plenty of family-friendly activities. The house is situated in the Medieval village of Popiglio.

My place is perfect for several families or large groups up to 20+ and is dog friendly.

The terraces include a roof terrace with barbecue offering stunning views, located just off the largest of the 4 living rooms. There are 3 further terraces and a garden with secluded pool.

Popiglio is a Medieval village with a bar and pizzeria in the piazza, a bakers, two small supermarkets, chemist and post office. The nearest town is the attractive market town of San Marcello Pistoiese, just 10 minutes away, which has plenty of shops and restaurants.

The beautiful walled city of Lucca is just 40 minutes away and Florence just an hour.

For outdoor sports, Canyon Park is just 10 minutes away and offers the first high wire route through hidden, verdant gorges, suspended above an emerald green river. There are also Tibetan bridges spanning the River Lima as well as white water rafting. A spectacular treat for a family day out and for those who enjoy nature at its best.

The owner, a British artist living in the nearby town of Pistoia, can arrange cookery lessons at the house, wine and food tours, as well as tours of some of the sights of Florence (including tickets for the Uffizi). Please contact Nicola by email in advance to make arrangements.

Nicola was a fantastic host and made our trip easy from booking to checkout. The house is spacious (10 of us and all had plenty of room) and comfortable with lots of rustic charm; It’s an old fashioned stay. The pool was delicious in the oven like heat of August! We had teenagers with us and the WiFi was great :-) but the pool was so lovely that they spent most of their time at home it. The hill top location makes a car essential. Lovely day/ evening trips to Pistoia, Lucca, Pisa, Abetone and Forte dei Marni. Great local restaurant, Ristorante Pizzeria Grotta Azzurra, in La Lima, 5 mins drive away and also La Bracia in San Marcello, 10 mins drive away.

This Medieval house offers breathtaking views of the mountains as well as being within easy reach of all the major towns in Tuscany.
