Family from NZ, USA and Havant had a lovely weekend stay. Coach and Horses was a good choice for dinner on Friday night. Very relaxing with owls softly hooting as we went off to sleep.
We had a good week and Gerald was helpful over check in. Cottage was comfortable if a bit tired feeling. Could do with a bit of rejuvenation. Location good for walks with the dogs. Very near Uppark and Harting Down, short drive to Bosham and Chichester Harbour area.
When we arrived it turned out that the cleaning was not done. After a call with the contact-person, this has been instantly and pleasantly solved. Very nice location, we highly appreciated (directly linked to the small chapel of the village (open!) and a nice bridle way / footpath leading to several attractive round hike-routes. Good beds and a silent area, so we slept well. Also several additional services, like a washing machine.
We totally echo all the great Reviews on here :) Communication with Gerald was great, the Cottage was spacious and had a lovely homely feel. The location was beautiful and quiet - just what we needed. Its equipped with EVERYthing you could possibly need and more! The Kitchen knives are worthy of mention, being of good quality and sharp, not blunt like in a lot of Holiday accommodation :) The Beds were comfy and Gerald has provided comprehensive Info about every aspect of the Cottage (Heating,Water,Kitchen appliances, etc) which was incredibly thoughtful and useful, but is also on hand nearby, should any further help be needed :) The surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful and accessible directly from the Cottage, if you fancy not having to drive somewhere for a nice walk, etc. Bird lovers will enjoy being able to see the Falconry Centre displays from the back Bedroom, which is an added bonus :) We had such a lovely time and just wished we could have stayed for longer - we will definitely be back! :)

Het betreft een knus maar wat verouderd klein huisje. Vriendelijke beheerder.
Great stay in a lovely house. Was sunny all weekend so most of the time was spent relaxing in the garden, or walking in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Thank you!
Pepperpot Cottage is ideally located in a sweet village close to hiking trails, beautiful countryside, pubs, village store, etc. It is quiet and tranquil, but an easy drive to other pubs (the Red Lion in Chalton is excellent!), Chichester, the coast, etc. Gerald is an excellent host, responsive and generous. We loved the cottage; it is quaint and comfortable. It's an old building, which is part of its charm; and as the middle of three houses created from the old schoolhouse, access is across the front garden of the house next door. To start with this was a concern but then we got to know the neighbour, who was a lovely lady: she even offered anything extra we might find we need to host our family at Christmas! We highly recommend the cottage; and thanks to Gerald for a great stay!
The owner of this property was very helpful and responded to my questions promptly.
The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful, pretty village. The countryside is stunning! We had lovely walks, pub meals and a short drive to gorgeous West Wittering beach.
The property is well positioned and is a lovely cottage. My only suggestion is that the furnishings and appliances could probably do with updating. It would be nice to see a bit more ‘country cottage character’ in the furnishings and the type of pictures on the walls, ornaments etc., they are all a bit of a mishmash and don’t give that ‘cosy country cottage feel’.
We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay, just what was needed!
Perfect location to access Goodwood festival. Lovely quite location with local pub. Pub food felt a little over priced but was nice enough.
The cottage was perfect for what we needed and would happily stay again.

Short 11 day summer break using a character filled cottage in Compton as a hub.
Great cosy cottage in idillic surroundings. Easy to get to from Southampton airport and ideal for trips out to, Lewes and Brighton to the east and Fareham, Southampton, Pompey etc. to the west. We all loved the homely feel of the cottage and felt at home there from the first night. Lovely walks just out the back gate and a gorgeous wee Olde English village pub and village shop a few strides away. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, just a shame it wasn't longer. Would definitely recommend Pepper Pot to family and friends and would be the first place I would consider staying at if the need arose again. Thanks to the Landlord and his team, keep up the good work, it was much appreciated by us all.

Well equipped comfortable cottage,in a quiet village near South Down's way.
Excellent directions and details of where could park and having a safe key lock. Cottage was warm, but lovely to have open fire on cold nights. Logs even provided. Spacious living area and kitchen well equipped. Shower excellent. Little shop in village had good range of essentials and fresh bread etc. Plenty of pubs to choose from in a few miles radius. you could walk from cottage up on to fields and then the downs. Good to have garden to sit in the sun.
