About Owner
I was born in galway Ireland, moved to Essex and qualified as a nurse, married Gary who was born within bow bells. We moved to Gloucester 30 years ago, have four boys all still live locally in gloucestershire. We bought river cottage in November 2016 and have just finished decorating it

We fell in love with river cottage because of its location becide the river Thames, and just been a few miles away from its source was a bonus. when we were buying river cottage we visited the estate on numerous occasions in the summerand the atmosphere and activities our boys would have enjoyed when the were young

Lovely cosy environment to catch up with family and friends
Had a lovely weekend break in the cottage with extended family!
Although, we went during Storm Dennis, It was great to return to the cottage and know we would be warm and comfortable.
It had everything we needed - great that it had 2 en-suites and a family bathroom so everyone was happy. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the owners provided essentials if you needed them!

River cottage is located in award winning lower mill estate, the cottage is situated on the edge of the river Thames the estate has 550 acres of private residential nature reserve. The estate is gated, managed and includes heated outdoor pool, tennis court, sauna, play areas, restaurant and a general store. The area has birdwatching hides and lots of walking paths. The cottage has lots of information on local local attractions and activities.
