Brought our family here including a 5 year old and an 8 year old. Great communication with the host. The house had everything we needed. The views were spectacular!
Property facilities, cleanliness and area are all great. Listing was accurate, and host was both communicative and helpful.
The view and location are simply stunning.
Whole experience was everything you could ask for.
Beautiful grounds and plenty of space.
The weather rendered the pool a wee bit chilly but that’s the chance you take in early April. Marco was extremely hospitable and the restaurant at the bottom of the road was remarkably good!
Property is as lovely as five years ago. Perfect size for a family with two kids. Perfect location to explore Lake Como and have a quiet, relaxing and beautiful place to return to every night. Hosts are super nuce, quick to respond and genuinely pleasant. If we return to the Lakw, we hope to stay here again and again.
This villa has magnificent views to the lake and offers plenty of room for a group of 8 adults. We enjoyed the pool and beautiful garden a lot.
There is a very steep road up to the villa, and people with heartconditions or other healthproblems had problems with the climb!
Beatiful surroundings and peaceful place!
Wonderful place, well laid out and supplied at north end of Lake Como where tourism is not all-pervasive, handy shops, restaurants, hiking paths water sports. We were there for three weeks with waves of family and friends coming by. Veronica and Marco couldn’t have more helpful. Total of 15 folks visited—all loved it.
The house has everything and more! We enjoyed every minute! The contact to marco was pretty easy! He was really helpful!
The pool and the view are amazing!
We love to come back next year!
This home is on a beautiful hillside above the north end of Lake Como. It was spectacularly clean, including a spotless kitchen totally clean of any remant food of any sort, but fairly well stocked with utensils for our stay. Bedrooms were also perfect, with a great firm-mattressed bed. The view out over the lake was stupendous, though occasionally clouded by Milanese smog. The very private pool and sauna were great for some hot-and-cool self care after hiking up in the Valchiavenna.
if privacy is the ultimate luxury, this villa must be one of the very best locations. Private gated driveway, unobstructed views of the lake, a pool with likely best view we ever saw. Overall, a beautiful property! We arrived to a super clean villa, and had a very kind host help us throughout our stay. Third time Lake Como and this was our best stay. Please note, the location is north of all tourist attractions. This is actually great for a more relaxing and less crowded town feel. Still very close to get to anything on the lake. Thanks you again for memorable vacation!
Family of 5 visiting from the USA. Everything about this property is perfect. The house is beautiful and in great condition. The property is expansive, the landscaping is gorgeous, and the views are incredible. The home is well outside the tourist areas and offers a lot of peace and quiet, but it is close enough to easily visit all the sights by boat or car. The host is wonderful and very responsive, and we loved their recommendations such as the private boat tour by Luca and the bakery. The pool was a bit chilly on cooler/overcast days, but it is very refreshing on a warm sunny day. The ping pong table and sauna were big hits, and my teenage daughter loved the extra apartment downstairs. I cannot wait to visit again.

Breathtaking Views!
An enjoyable stay at this beautiful, private villa! Veronica was very welcoming and a delight to work with. It was too cold to swim, but we enjoyed sunning ourselves by the pool in mid October! The grounds are beautiful and spacious. Inside, the bathrooms are brand new and the kitchen is well appointed. We enjoyed the sauna very much. While the exercise room is nice, the machines are not great quality. We used the fireplace every night and when we ran out of wood, Veronica resupplied us immediately. Many restaurants near by. The walking/bike path on the lake is beautiful. All in all a wonderful retreat!

Grazie mille, è stato un vero piacere avervi qui....😘
We have just returned from spending a week at the Gera Lario villa.
There were 7 of us, and the villa offered plenty of space inside and out, so that our group of young and older adults didn’t feel cramped.
The views were wonderful, we really enjoyed spending time outside on the terrace and by the pool. The pool temperature was bracing and although the weather was varied, we all swam most days. Table tennis was popular and with plenty of garden space we bought a cheap badminton set which was well used.
There were lots of places to visit, we rented a boat for a couple of hours and that was a lovely way to see the lake from a different perspective. We drove to Varenna and Menaggio which were 25-30 mins away.
We didn’t stray too far for meals out, pizza in Gera Lario was good and we had a couple of meals in Domaso. There is a small but well stocked supermarket just 5 mins away in Domaso and a larger hypermarket 15 mins away.
Veronica was quick to respond and a delight to deal with.
Thoroughly recommend this villa.

A perfect place to stay!
Villa Venere in Gera Lario easily accommodated six of us in comfort -- four adults and two teenaged 'children' -- we didn't use the separate annex on this occasion. The elements were all there -- enough kitchen equipment for us to eat in, wifi that was strong enough to cope with constant streaming, and no fighting over the sunbeds! There is one restaurant in easy walking difference; be prepared for huge portions -- 'dividiamo' became a useful addition to our Italian vocabulary. Shopping is easy at an Iperal hypermarket just ten minutes away at Colico.
The villa is just off the lake road, so it's easy to head out and explore -- we visited Menaggio and caught the ferry to Bellaggio, Chiavenna, Passo San Marco, Abbazia di Piona, Bellano (on our way from Milan), Varenna and the lovely Gardens Cipresi -- all within an hour's drive of the property. We also took the train from Colico (one short change at Lecco) for a long, but very worthwhile, day trip to Bergamo. There is also easy access to the lake promenade walk, but be ready for the steep climb back up the road to the property! We also took a boat out on the lake for a couple of hours (we used Ranieri just out of Gravedona, who were efficient and helpful), which gave a different perspective.
The hosts were delightful -- Veronica met us at the property and kept us informed of local events (we were fortunate to see a couple of local fireworks displays), and would have happily organised things for us if I hadn't been keen to use my own -- limited -- recent education in Italian. We had one problem at the villa when a spectacular storm knocked out the electricity. Veronica arranged for an electrician to arrive within half and hour, and all was resolved.
In summary, Villa Venere is a beautiful place in which to relax and enjoy a holiday with family and friends, but is also ideally located for a full exploration of all that Lake Como offers. You won't regret it.
Grazie mille Veronica & Marco!

Absolute Empfehlung
