Ocean Views, Centrally Located, Big Enough For The Whole Family and Friends

Although there have been many upgrades, this vintage 50's home is designed for the feel of its time period. Bric a brac, eclectic furnishings carry a theme of beach life decades ago. Wonderful property suited for family and friends. Two separate units in the same home--put the kids upstairs and you can have your privacy down stairs! Be careful though...the staircase is steep as it was once a basement but has been remodeled into a fabulous cozy apartment.

Whether you want to see the butterflies, go to the beach, play golf, see the sites, or just have a lazy stay and enjoy the beautiful weather, this is the place! The central coast has so much to offer, we are happy to share it with your family.

This is a great location to access everything. Its just a short 30 minute drive to the north county and the Paso Robles wine trail, or you can go 30 minutes up the coast and be at America's only real castle, the fabled Hearst castle. If you have never been this is a must see. You can also head 30 minutes south and be at the start of the Santa maria wine trail and recreate some of the scenes from the famous movie sideways. Head just another half hour south and you can rub elbows with the rich and famous, or sample some of the posh shopping of beautiful Santa Barbara.

The kitchens are both fully equipped with everything you would need as far as pots, pans, dishes, flatware, coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, etc. . Plenty of towels and linens. Usually extra toiletries in the drawers if not out on counters. Washer drains into utility sink so be mindful not to obstruct sink when doing laundry. Please be sure to turn lights out and close windows and doors when checking out. Be sure to turn off gas to grill and scrape down after use. Bag up trash, discard in proper receptacles and bring cans to curb.

PLEASE BE AWARE THERE ARE AUDIO/VISUAL SECURITY CAMERAS AT ALL ENTRANCES FOR BOTH MONITORING AND SAFETY. LISTINGS ARE HIGHLY RESTRICTED FOR GUEST COUNT .

Very nice beach house

We had a wonderful trip to the Pismo Beach area. The house was perfect for our family of five, including the basement apartment that was ideal for our daughter who is in her 20s and her boyfriend. The deck with the ocean view was our favorite spot. Parking was super easy with the driveway and garage.

Great Homey Property

Everything was great, I recommend it highly! Only tip for other renters is to bring your own bottled drinking water as this area has poor tasting tap water. Otherwise we loved it! It was great for our big family!!

Relaxing Family Vacation

This is the second time we stayed in this wonderful beach house. It had everything we needed. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. Love the refrigerator and sink downstairs, great addition! The front courtyard was perfect to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Owners are very easy to communicate with and very helpful. We hope to be back again.

Great my location, fantastic stay

This was a great place, spacious and clean. Fenced in yards. Fully equipped kitchen. So close to all the things ha we wanted to do. Great wifi connection. Free parking. Do affordable compared to the hotels which were not near as nice but the Cost of one room was almost as significant as the cost of this whole house with 4 bedrooms and three baths. I highly recommend this home. Hosts were hospitable and accommodating as well. A++

Mixed feelings

Convenient neighborhood with lots of restaurants and stores. Large house with big back yard. Fantastic front yard setup. Communication varies from disrespectful to friendly and informative, depending on who you speak to. Informed that neighbors recorded us talking and laughing while inside the house. Wife demanded I apologize to her for being too loud, then threaten to kick us out mid stay because I didn’t agree to be quiet in a way that pleased her. Husband called and informed us where we can talk without annoying the neighbors, which solved the issue. Paid way too much to be treated like a child.

Perfect Family Vacation Home

We had a great time! The size of the house is perfect for a family of 10. There were 6 adults and 4 kids in our group. The bedrooms were perfect for us. Loved the downstairs area where my husband and I could get some quiet time. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Having 3 bathrooms was an added bonus. There was good water pressure, and we never ran out of hot water. The balcony was a very relaxing place to sit, relax and enjoy the view. We spent a lot of time in the front courtyard using the bar-b-que and playing games. The only thing I wish we had had was a refrigerator of some sort downstairs. It would have been nice to have a spot to keep drinks cold without having to go upstairs. Overall, a great family vacation. We recommend this house! Owners are very responsive to questions and very welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!!

Excellent as usual

This was the 5th time we have stayed at this beach house. Contrary to another reviewer, we have found it clean and well maintained every time we have been there. Since we've been staying there for several years, we have observed the upgrades/improvements that the owners have made over the years. They continually strive to make the home comfortable and convenient for their renters. We have never had a problem with communicating with the owners. They have been nothing but nice and available if there is a question. It was perfect for our family of 9 with both the upstairs and downstairs space. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Our favorite areas are the back upper balcony and the front yard. The grandkids loved playing ping-pong and "baseball" with the plastic bat and ball they found in the garage. I highly recommend this beach house for a wonderful family vacation!

Absolutely Wonderful!

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at Pismo Beach, mostly due to such a perfect house! This rental was perfect for our group, consisting of two families, with kids ranging in age from 9 to 20. The house was just the right size to accommodate all of us, while still giving each their personal space, both in the common areas and private quarters. To be honest, the photos truly do not do justice to this place -- it is full of character and very Americana. The grounds were spacious, the kitchen had more than enough plates, glassware, pots, appliances, etc. And most importantly, the beds were so comfortable, we really did have a true and restful vacation! The house was also very well appointed, with extra sheets, towels, etc. The location was perfect as well. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is within walking distance to the store. The beach is a short ride away and the views are fantastic! Jeff and Donnelle were very quick to respond to our inquiries and because they knew we were coming to celebrate Christmas, we so appreciated the beautiful tree the set up for us. It really made us feel "at home." I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was my first experience using Vrbo though we have rented houses through rental agencies in other locations in the past. I wasn't familiar with using the key pad on the doors. When I called for assistance, the husband made me feel I was being a bother (interrupting his meal). There were a number of items that were problematic but I was reluctant to call because of the bad experience the first evening. The wife was friendly, but the husband was off putting. Mid way through our stay, I had to call about a matter and the wife was apologetic about what happened and had her husband make a number of repairs which were done and done quickly and well. The window coverings didn't provide adequate privacy. The beds were uncomfortable, The silverware and dishes were a inadequate. The house didn't have A/C so it needs a whole house fan to take advantage of the cooler night air. The room fans didn't provide much relief.

This home and these owners are a nightmare. Worst rental property I have ever experienced.

You feel dirty just by walking in this house. The air is like a thrift store. There are bugs, bug carcasses, stained sinks, stained bathtubs, holes in walls, damaged walls and paint, filthy BBQ grill growing mold or fungus. holes in furniture, stranger's hair on linens, in bathrooms and bathmats. When I opened the rusted washing machine, there was a pile of dirty laundry sitting in it. I removed this pile of someone's dirty clothes and placed it into a laundry sink. I didn't know that their washing machine was set up to drain into that sink. A few minutes later, the sink filled up with black dirty water. It looked like it was about to overflow. I called the owner. The wife immediately started screaming and demanded that I reach into that disgusting sink and pull out their dirty laundry. Then her husband got on the phone and continued to argue with me that this was all my fault. That is is perfectly normal to have a washing machine drain into a sink and I should have known better. I replied that I was in town to visit family for a reunion, and did not want to spend my friday evening arguing with them. He said he would go to the house to repair it. I said I would be gone, attending my family's dinner. During the dinner, I then received angry and threatening text messages from this man. He said I should be ashamed of myself. He also explained that their bathtub is stained because it's "70 years old". They should have written that in the property description as a selling point if he is so proud of a 70 year old bathtub. Perhaps it's time to replace your dirty old bathtubs? I did not feel safe staying in this house. These people are angry and unstable and can enter the property at any time, and decided to pick a fight over such a small issue that is entirely their fault, did not make me feel comfortable. So we moved to a hotel and are battling them to get a refund. Now they are trying to charge us more for bogus claims. Every single neighbor has filed public complaints about these people which I found after a quick search for their address. They care as little for their neighbors as they do their customers. The staircase is illegal and dangerous. They claim to be dog friendly and are furious when you bring a dog! There are no screens on windows. The air ducts have never been cleaned and there are no air filters. The backyard view is all other backyards, no beach. All they do is lie and argue. Do not rent from these horrible people.

Wonderful Experience!

The check in process was amazingly simple. There's a really good coffee shop "Tribe" within walking distance. We did get a little rowdy but the owner was super professional and nice about telling us to keep it down. Only tiny thing is when descending to the bottom rooms the staircase is a little precarious. But the fact that it serves as a whole other "house" more than made up for it. 10/10 would stay here again. wonderful for large groups or multiple families.

Good except there is a noise in the plumbing like a rush of pressure every few minutes that is audible in the downstairs suite. Since I am a very light sleeper I could not sleep in that room. It didn’t bother my husband but he has hearing loss so no surprise.

Holiday Visit

Positives: Nice property, plenty of amenities. Downstairs unit a plus. Negatives: 1) The site advertises that the property sleeps 12 people. This is actually not true and really is false advertising. 10 is the max number of people and renters get charged extra for "additional guests." The kicker is that it is not posted anywhere on the site. Even under Policy and Rules. Right before you book it, you have to click on "Invoice Details" then the "Additional Guests" charge pops up. Why does it pop up when you have 12 guests if that is what the property advertises? It should only come up if it's 13 or more so BE AWARE! You will not get your money back even though the owner has the discretion to do so. 2) There are gopher traps in the backyard which we had no idea about until the neighbor saw my son playing out there. Since this is a safety concern, it should have been brought to my attention. Therefore, I am putting it out there for any potential renters to be aware of this and to ask about it. 3) There are two sets of sliding glass doors ( upstairs and down) that do not lock. I did text the owner about it and the response was "Don't worry, the neighborhood is quiet and safe." This means nothing to families with little kids and/or special needs children. It is a big safety issue and was not taken seriously enough. I believe there was a previous review that mentioned the same problem and the owner's response was the same. The owner sent an email stating that her husband checked the doors and that they locked so this may be an ongoing issue. Another thing you may want to ask about. 4) The TV is too outdated for streaming. In closing, if you have a party of 10 or less with no children or teens ,and not interested in streaming, this place will work for you.

I dont even know where to start with this lovely rental. They left wine out for us, are dog friendly and my goodness the view! It fit all 10 of us confortably as well as my two large breed dogs. Comunication was a breeze with the owners, the neighbors were lovely and the location was perfect. Would stay again.

Family Carshow vacay

Overall was ok., but needed more attention to cleaning, very dusty especially as we moved chairs or tables around did not walk barefoot. Sinks a little dirty and we saw a mouse in main living room. Updating to furniture and overall would be nice. Towels and linens also need updating. We didn’t use them since we brought our own and laid those on top of existing.

Family Vacay

Great, quiet location with many conveniences around. Big enough for 10 of us to spread out. Front yard was an awesome place to hang out and have meals. Back yard is a little sloped but still fun for kids to run around in an enclosed area. Furnishings and decor are a little older but that was expected looking at the pictures. Had a great stay with extended family.

Another Beach Week in the books!

Another successful Central Coast beach week for our family. This property is ideally located between SF-LA, with multiple beaches to visit. The listing and pictures accurately present the property, and our family of nine+ enjoyed many of its features. Everyone had a great time.

Why they chose this property

This property is right in the center of everything. It's conveniently located near Pismo and not far from Avila beach - two of the Central Coasts most desirable beaches and has great views. Its put together to handle large groups

What makes this property unique

This home still has original vintage tiles in two of the bathrooms and cabinetry in the spacious kitchen with fantastic stove commercial stainless stovetop w/built in griddle for family meals. The views from the back deck are incredible day or night and the privacy of the courtyard for barbecues is delightful. Enclosed yards for child and pet safety. The convenience of a completely separate downstairs apartment is fantastic for a couple to have privacy from main house for inlaws or the newlywed couple traveling with family.
