Words do not justice to describe living at our "Executive Penthouse Como Condo" here on Lake Como overlooking the City skyline, lake and mountains. Sumptious living, beautfully appointed and wall to floor lake views would be a good start to describe some of the features of this executive home.
The home is conveniently located to reach the centre of Como. In just a few minutes you can arrive in the heart of Como city by car or around 10 minutes on foot.
Quality fixtures and fittings can be found at every turn of the open plan 5 star deluxe apartment The lounge boasts wall to floor 180 degree panoramic lake and mountain views with an accompanying balcony for alfresco dining.
The lounge has been tastefully designed with no expense spared evident in the huge dining table, state of the art fitted kitchen and large L shaped sofa with the open plan room designed to take full of advantage of the wall to floor lake views. The owner has meticulously fitted the home with every home comfort from wide screen tv, Bose music player, designer lighting, furniture and rugs hand-crafted in Italy. Features include air conditioning in every room which you can set to your individual preference and the breakfast bar fitted at the bespoke kitchen.
The home includes three bedrooms, an ensuite double, a twin and single room. The home sleeps five guests with ample wardrobe space. The second bathroom is located close to the twin room for added convenience.


The master bedroom boasts a large double bed with quality linen and bedding and a beautifully appointed ensuite shower room.
The second bedroom include two single beds
The third bedroom features a large single bed (A french bed)
Total floor space of the home is 120 SQ Metres.
Secure parking is available in the garage located just below the entrance to the apartment.
The apartment can be reached by an elevator.

Additionally to the private terrace adjoining the living room, there is also a further communal terrace with can be accessed by the external stairs on the roof top as photographed for sunbathing and alfresco dining for you to take advantage of.


We will be happy to organise a private chef with wine's to match sourced from our favourite italian wineries plus cooking lessons at the home-please ask for details.

Boat hire can be arranged on request as well as tours of the lake on a luxury boat with captain to explore prestigious villa's, dine at one of our favourite lakeside restaurants and visit the many hidden treasures here on Lake Como.

Gorgeous view!

Fantastic stay for a family of 5. Gorgeous views. There is a short walk on a tight roadway but this is life in Italy! We took water taxis to all the towns on Lake Como so a car was not required during our stay. Amazing and highly recommended.

Lake como getaway!

I visited Lake Como with friends and we had a great experience staying with Barry. They had a beautiful, clean home with incredible views of the lake and a wonderful porch. Their recommendations of the restaurants and wine bars in town were top notch! Listing was accurate, about a 10 to 15 minute walk down the hill into town. We recommend researching more about the ferry before your visit as it was a challenge for us in the off season.

Beautiful Lake Como Views

Had a great time and the unit is beautiful. The view of the lake and Como were fantastic- especially at night! Barrie and Julie were there to help us organize our stay and were very helpful. The only minor thing was the unit/owner does not supply basic items found in most other high-end rentals (shampoo/conditioner, bar soap, paper towels, napkins, etc).

Regarding your comments regarding basic items in the home I think there must have been some confusion which home you are referring to on your travels. To confirm liquid soap and loo paper is left on arrival for all guests plus towels for each guest. We don't supply conditioner or shampoo as this is a self catering home but just like you requested ahead of your arrival we can organise anything for you including food and wine to enjoy on your arrival. we are always happy to oblige! Perfect Como Apartment with style

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn’t be happier. Communication from start to finish was appreciated along with all of the lovely recommendations from Barrie. You’re close enough to everything in Como and taking the ferry to Lenno and Bellagio couldn’t have been easier. We dined, took in the sights, and can’t wait to come back. The luxury apartment has been meticulously designed for comfort and class. The views from the balcony and rooftop lookout are incredible. This spot stands out from the rest in a truly unique stay and makes for a one of a kind Como experience. Highly recommended.

Picturesque Como Penthouse

The three bedroom penthouse was perfect for for two couples! Comfortable furniture and bedding and everything you need in the kitchen! This Como apartment was in a great location, 10- 15 minute walk to the Cathedral, restaurants and shopping, so much to choose from! Just be mindful of the traffic on one short part of the road! The views from the the spacious balcony were incredible, and we were were surprised with fireworks over the lit up city on one of our nights there. Barrie and Julie were there to meet us and were very helpful during our stay. This home would be a good choice to rent!

Wow! What an incredible find. We stayed at the property for 5 spectacular days the first week of September 2019 . Day and night you are offered 5 star living, above average internet connections and have space for relaxing. We were amused with the special touches as well. (Built in North American power outlets in each room) The property management team is a phone call or text message away. We highly recommend this property it will surely add to your vacation experience in Magical Lake Como.

Noisy lack of transportation

Nice property, but ice maker was frosted and not clean. Make sure you get a tutorial on washer/dryer. Very noisy as the busy road is directly below the unit. Also, local transportation is almost nonexistent. Very few taxis and no Uber. If you are in your 20’s or 30’s and can walk 600+ steps downhill to the lakeshore and then 600+ steps uphill back to the unit, then this location is for you. Needs new and more towels and wash cloths.

Thank you for your feedback. We advised ahead of your stay that as you were travelling in the post covid august period the lake was extremely busy and so we recommended a car for this week. Hence we organised transportation with a private pick up from the airport to the home for your arrival and departure and arranged a day trip around the lake as well as a day out on the glass topped Bernina Express to occupy you for 3 of your days here. In addition organised wine on arrival and offered to organise food supplies for your arrival plus flexible early and late check in and check out times to suit your schedule. We do try and offer customer friendly service at all times (please see all other reviews here and on other leading air and booking sites) We have over 50 reviews all told...most with 5 stars as the home matches the majority of most guests who stay here as the home on offer is exactly as advertised. The walk to down to the village is 10 minutes only on foot. Unfortunately as you say given your age i understand the 600 steps were too much for you so agree perhaps an alternative home if you chose not to hire a car would have suited you better. All towels are brand new and updated at the beginning of every season. If you had requested a change of towels during your stay we would have been only too happy to oblige. Likewise the last guests may have turn the freezer up too high and if you had mentioned any issue we would have been happy to ressolve this for your immediately. We demonstrated to your wife how the washing machine and dryer works on arrival and had you requested further clarification would have been happy to assist. The road was busy as your stay coincided with the national ferragosta holiday-the busiest of the year. Traffic is significantly reduced at of evening. Most guests are sightseeing during the day and then of an evening there is no issue with road noise in addition the metal shutters, double glazing reduce any noise plus the air conditioning keeps the home cool. Penthouse paradise.

We stayed here as part of a three centre break on the lake. This home was the pick of the properties, so much so we could not bare to leave! The home and view is even better in the reality than on the site. The home is well located, 10 minutes and your in the heart of the city with excellent ferry or boat hire to access the lake and taxi service from Como to the apartment. We took the owners advice and hired a smaller car, a fiat 500 X large, as the roads around the lake were narrow and it was easier to park in the garage. Barry, who met us on arrival, showed us to the another other space, a few minutes walk from the home where our daughter parked her car. Special thanks also to Barry for some really excellent tips for places to visit, where to dine and even more importantly for our wine collection! It was great to have someone to impart local knowledge to enable us to get the insiders view on not just what to see but where to avoid. Thank you so much for a wonderful Lake Como experience.

Incredible stay in Como!

What a great find! The pictures don't do this home justice - the view is just incredible, the home is very tastefully furnished, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning. We've visited Como many times but this is by far the best home we have stayed in. Barrie is a great host and provided us with excellent knowledge of the area including advice on his favourite local restaurants and places to visit, which made us feel very comfortable to explore. The food and wine we ordered on arrival which Barrie organised was much appreciated. We are glad we took up the option of the private chef, Angelica, who cooked a lovely meal for us at the home. The wine pairings Barrie prepared for us were also a treat! The advice on the listing to bring a smaller car was greatly appreciated, as the roads around the lake are much narrower than back home in the States. We rented a Fiat Panda and it was the perfect size to navigate the Italian roads and to park at the garage at the home. We actually didn't use our car much, because the walk to the city centre took only 10 minutes. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Como!

My wife, Lisa, and I had an amazing time staying at Barrie and Julie’s Como penthouse for the Manza F1 weekend. Barrie’s generosity showed well before our arrival, with his offers on area attractions, recommendations, and a personalized wine pick up at the condo when we walked in. Barrie was happy to arrange our early arrival check in with his assistant Grace. This worked out wonderfully to drop everything off and walk Como until the place was ready for changeover. Barrie would check in every other day just to ensure there wasn’t anything we needed. He also took our phone call to explain the master bathroom lights that sit on the bedroom side and was not obvious to us when the night fell on day one. Lisa and I loved starting our morning with expresso and ending with wine on the balcony. While the pictures are great, it’s a completely elevated experience to see if yourself. We rented a car for the primary purpose of vising the Fidenza Village outlet mall, and while we did this, I would caution the use of a rental given how efficient the train and ferry system is. The drive to Bellagio has a lack of parking and tight roadways. The ramp is also extremely tight. We were given an Alfa Romeo jr. rental car and even this small car required constant back and forth in the ramp in order to park. The ramps size was explained by Barrie, but I didn’t have an appreciation for how tight things really were compared to US. Overall – fantastic time - Thank you Barrie and Julie!

An amazing penthouse in every way!

A group of four of us stayed for a week in the penthouse, and it was truly amazing. It's hard to imagine a better view of Lake Como from anywhere else on the lake - it's better than the pictures in the listing. And everything in the penthouse was top notch, clean, and worked beautifully. As good as it gets. The location - just a short walk from downtown Como, was perfect for us. Barrie was an fantastic host, answering all our questions, and helping out with the logistics of getting around the lake (the ferry system can be a challenge). He also checked in with us periodically while we were there to make sure all was going well. He was even good enough to chose some great wines for us before we arrived so we could hit the ground running. The walk into town took us about 10 minutes, and the first 100 yards or so required caution as you are walking down a very narrow road with two-way traffic. But once we got the hang of it, it was fine. Also keep in mind the walk back from town is uphill and takes some effort. To sum up...I highly recommend the penthouse and Barrie. Both are truly great!

Beautiful property, but poor management. Property was in a mess at agreed check-in time. Conversation with property manager was unpleasant and at one point was told we can leave and would get our refund based on VRBO policy, which is Euro 0. Had two days of unpleasant communication with property manager and had to inform management we need to stop the unpleasant communication and we would take care of everything ourselves. Dryer does not work and unable to use oven for it was very dirty. Please update information regarding garage to indicate it is extremely difficult to navigate even with a small car. We had no choice but park our car in public parking. We are not sure why we had to pay cleaning fee when we had to clear the refrigerator, dishwasher and throw away trash ourselves in order to receive our damage deposit.

It pains me write and reply to this review having suffered the very unfortunate experience of hosting Angela and her family. On arrival Angela and one of her party behaved in a less than educated manner repeatedly screaming four letter expletives on arrival because they had arrived prior to the check in time and therefore the home was not ready. The language she used was so coarse that we made an unprecedented invitation to offer for her to leave if she was not happy and offered to readvertise the week she had reserved (for over six months) and override the Vrbo policy to refund her if we could resell the dates. Indeed, given the experience of hosting Angela, i wish she had left. The dishwasher works perfectly (guests before and after have used it without issue) We contacted Angela to show her how to use the dishwasher but any offer to help was rebuffed. We write on our advert "Garage-Private garage for parking. We recommend bringing a smaller car to the home to access the garage and as more convenient for the narrow roads and parking areas around the lake and city centre of Como" Perhaps Angela was too busy cursing and missed this along with the clear instructions supplied for check in as well as the check in time. The home is professionally cleaned with linen, bedding and towels freshly laundered and supplied. Guests our only required to recycle their waste on departure which is clearly communicated to every guest to ensure Lake Como is kept as an area of outstanding natural beauty. This was clearly communicated to Angela, too. We have reported Angela's behaviour to our agent at VRBO and confirmed to the site to share with other host's that we do not recommend hosting Angela at any property on this platform given she does not respect hosts rules and is the rudest guest we have had the displeasure of hosting in the many years of welcoming guests to Lake Como. To date we have 25 previous reviews from guests (viewable here online as well as countless other reviews on other leading booking and b&b portals) where every other guest has been a joy to host and they in turn have been delighted with the home, our service and personal local insights offered to ensure they get the very most from their stay. So this review is as contrasting from other guests experiences as the behaviour Angela displayed during her stay.

Stunning Property

Our stay was everything we expected from the pictures we saw on the site. Sometimes that does not happen. The property was well furnished and kitchen was well stocked. But the views of Como were outstanding. It was a great place for morning coffee and evening cocktails. An easy walk to the town afforded easy transportation around the lake. Only negative is that it is on a busy, noisy street. Windows were great so when the property was closed up the noise was not an issue.

For our guests to note, the living room mentions features two patio doors and a sliding window. If opening all three at the same time, as was the case here you can hear the traffic however it is not necessary to open all the windows as we have air conditioning included which can be set at your desired temperature in every room as well as heating so whatever time of the year guests arrive they can be comfortable in the home without any necessity to open one or all of the windows. many thanks Barrie

The Penthouse was just like it was represented in the pictures. The views are just incredible over 180 degrees of an unobstructed view of Como. I can't imagine there is another place with a better view. The apartment is kept well and the furnishing and appliances are all new. The beds are very comfortable and with the windows closed it is very quiet. The only two downsides is the lack of a sidewalk when walking back from town for about 100 meters. And do not bring a big car. The garage is large once you get in, but the ramp up you want something small.

Thank you Frank for your review and comments. I am delighted you enjoyed your stay and found the apartment exactly as described and photographed. The home includes air conditioning at no extra cost throughout the home so as you mention if you keep the windows closed you do not here any noise however you can still stay cool in summer and warm in winter. With regards to parking and access to the city I would like to take a moment to address these points. We do clearly state on the advert to bring a smaller car as easier to drive around the narrow streets of Como and to park in the garage so that guests are prepared ahead of their arrival. There is also communal parking 5 minutes walk from the home as well as the private garage located beneath the home. We also state the walk is 10 minutes down to the city centre, the first part of the walk being on the road, this is typical of the landscape of the Lake Como and it is normal for people who live but understand this is very different to where you live in the United States! Hence the reason we advise guests on this advertisement so all holidaymakers are prepared in advance of their stay as we do not want any surprises on arrival. So even though unfortunately you did not pick up on this thank you for highlighting this point for other guests who are reserving this home. Guests can also take a taxi to the village if required from the home.

Superb

This penthouse totally lived up to our expectations and was even better than the impression from the photos. Stunning 180 degree views over the lake, and beautifully appointed rooms made it the ideal place to stay for our holiday. With a 10 minute walk into Como, we were well situated to get the ferries up to the towns on the lake(we particularly loved Villa Monastero in Varenna, and Villa Carlotta), and also use the food shops in Como. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook nice meals and enjoy the views of Como. We also appreciated the warm reception we received from Barrie on our arrival, and were re-assured to know he was locally on hand should we have needed anything. Overall a fabulous apartment which we would highly recommend. Mike and Jan

Spectacular spot

This penthouse was fantastic! You have all of the amenities you would need to make for a very comfortable stay. The pictures don't do the views justice, you must experience for yourself. The bedrooms are all very nice with wonderful built in closets with plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need to cook, entertain and feel right at home. We enjoyed being close to the town of Como for all the shops, restaurants and amenities. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the main ferry area where you could catch a variety of ferries all over the lake. Day trips to Bellagio, Varenna, Montrasio etc were super easy! We still preferred the location on this side of the lake after having looked into the other areas. The property managers Barrie and Julie were delightful to work with and extremely helpful with questions. We would love to come back again and would highly recommend this property. Thanks for a great stay!!

An amazing apartment in a wonderful location

If you are looking to stay in Lake Como near the town of Como I highly recommend this apartment. If you look at the website pictures you are looking at the actual views and furnishings. Everything was in top shape and as advertised. The kitchen is fully equipped and was the gathering center as my wife is a great cook. The beds were comfortable and there is plenty of both drawer space to store and hanging closet space. There is a washer/dryer, and iron and ironing board for your use. The place was immaculate. My wife and I live on the water in Florida with tremendous views and can really appreciate what the owners have put together in this apartment and were very satisfied. Lets not forget the rooftop balcony where you can spend the evening watching the lights of Como come on with a glass of wine! As my wife and I would say, this is a definite “Redo”, meaning we will be back!
