We enjoyed our stay on the boat. It was a nice location with little tourists and very authentic Italy. We enjoyed the restaurants nearby and the train was close to visit Pompei or Sorrento or Naples.
We really enjoyed our stay and the experience of staying on a boat. We visited, Pompeii and Naples via train which was only a 20 min walk from the boat. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Antonio was very helpful.
The Pigu is a beautiful boat, snug for a family of three adults and two children, but well equipped and comfortable. We spent three nights in early December and enjoyed our time on the boat. Antonio was an excellent host, very responsive and helpful. He took us to Capri for a day and it was a highlight of the trip.
Antonio was an amazing finishing touch to our trip and excellent way to experience the amalfi region and capri. Antonio’s company, conversation and service was comfortable to say the least. We look forward to seeing antonii again and enjoying more of Italy. 🇮🇹
My family of 5 (3 children ages 16-24) stayed for 2 evenings in the heat of summer! Absolutely loved the time we spent on the boat and Antonio took us out for a day cruise (for an extra fee).
I would love to stay again.
Sheets & towels were freshly dry cleaned, air conditioning, fridge, restrooms, secure parking for our rental car, and restaurants within walking distance.
Enjoyed our time spent with Antonio!

Hot and uncomfortable
I was so excited about bringing my granddaughter but she was miserably hot and uncomfortable with the conditions onboard. I wish had stayed with my original plan of just staying three days. Live and learn.
We are not boaters, have never sailed or slept on a boat ever.
For us it was a great adventure and Antonio was a fantastic host.
He engaged our teen boys in conversation and taught them to sail the boat.
We were able to visit four stops in 2 days by sailing with Antonio.
We played music and jumped into the Mediterranean off of his sail boat . One key point - if you are docking in a marina over night and want a full shower make sure you ask if the marina has a shower. Staying with Antonio was the highight of our Italian vacation.
We spent two great nights on Antonio's boat, one in his home port and one in Capri and had two full days of sailing out and back to the island with Antonio as the captain. We prioritised getting some good time under sail and exploring some swimming spots and Antonio delivered. He is a gracious and knowledgeable host and competent skipper.
Although he tries hard, English is his second language so patience on both sides is essential. The boat is nice, well maintained and Antonio provides for all of your needs. So understand that this is his boat and not from pool of professionally maintained charter boats.
If you stay with Antonio, we highly recommend Il Dubbio across the street from the marina. One of the best Seafood meals we have had in Italy. Ever.

Jeff, Brianne, children and grandparents were wonderful hosts, I hope to host them again

Experience vs VRBO
The boat was just OK and didn’t seem set up for a VRBO. It felt a little bit like we were staying on a boat someone else lives in. I would recommend it be listed as an “experience” rather than an accommodation. They build ships right next door so it was loud and bright into the night. The town is not a tourist town which is fine but it’s a bit filthy and we did not feel welcome by locals.
I think most people who rent the boat have Antonio take them sailing which is the only way I would recommend doing it. We were in a bind and thought it would be novel to stay on the boat. But for the price, it was not for all the reasons listed above.
Rent the boat and have Antonio take you out! He was great to meet and if we ever go back, that’s what we will do.
Amazing way to view the Sorento and Amalfi coastlines.
We booked two nights on the boat and a day sailing the coast with Antonio. The day on the water was amazing. Not only is Antonio the captain but her really is a wonderful guide. There is no way we could have done what we did without him. If you want to get an appreciation for boat life this is a great option. If you are planning a trip on a sail boat you need to pack light. Beds on the boat were good and we slept well. The air conditioning worked well the one night we actually used it. Our mistake was that we were on a long trip and packed for large cases for the trip which made things tight in the rooms, but that was our fault. One of the highlights of the stay was the neighborhood with great restaurants and great people watching.
Our family had the chance to stay at Antonio’s sailboat for a couple of days and the chance to go to Positano and Capri. Antonio was a wonderful host and our family of 6 with four teens enjoyed the beautiful views from the boat and also jump into the beautiful blue waters in Capri. Antonio also cooked for us some amazing clams. On our way back we encountered very rough weather and Antonio was a fantastic captain! Thank you for a wonderful trip!!
Antonio was very kind and helpful showing us how the boat worked. It’s a lovely boat but my wife is not a sailor! However I loved it and the kids did too.
Our family spent two nights and paid extra for Antonio to take a day trip around Capri. If you want an affordable sailing experience to Capri or the Almafi coast, this is the way to go. Antonio was an excellent captain and our kids had fun swimming off of Capri. He also set it up so that we were able to visit the blue grotto.
Antonio got a portable air conditioner for the boat right before we came so that we were able to sleep comfortably at night even though it was quite hot outside. Would definitely recommend.
Le Pigu was perfect for our family vacation on the Amalfi coast and we highly recommend it! A very comfortable and well-maintained 41 ft sailboat, she was a lovely home for 4 nights for our family of 5 - 2 parents, 2 teens, and grandmother. The 3 cabins easily fit us - including my husband (6ft 4in) and son (6ft 2in). Do keep in mind that it is a sailboat, so the quarters are snug, but sufficient. Our son had a cabin to himself that he found cozy. The marina and surrounding areas were safe and lovely, just a short walk to the main promenade with plenty of cafes and restaurants. We mostly made coffee (moka espresso) on board before starting our daily adventures. You could cook on-board, but we chose to eat out.
Antonio was very helpful answering our questions in advance, alleviating our concerns about weather and itinerary. He helped us get settled then plan for a day trip to Pompeii (amazing!!). We were fortunate to have stellar weather and arranged for Antonio to sail us around the coast and to Capri, adapting the itinerary to the weather conditions and our interests. This was the most relaxing and fun part of our vacation, with time to ponder the color of the sea, go for a swim, read, and chat about the beautiful countryside. He is very knowledgeable of the area, seas and sailing, paid attention to the weather forecast, adapted the itinerary on the way, gave us good insights into the local area (what to skip vs not miss), and put us all at ease in terms of his sailing skills - we felt very comfortable with him at the helm. On top of that, he was friendly, funny, and easy to communicate with in English.
It was very easy to transit from Rome to Naples on the fast train, then a local train to town. We also used the train to easily get to and from Pompeii for a day trip. Had the weather been poor for sailing, there is easy access to trains and buses to Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi.
Renting a boat was a new experience for us. We opted for a 3 day mini-cruise. The first day we sailed to Capri. Waking up there was incredible. Later that day we went to Amalfi and stayed overnight in the marina. The next day we went to Positano. Also wonderful. The captain - Antonio was knowledgeable and answered questions we had about what we saw. We loved the experience.
The Pigu is a beautiful vessel sailed by our Captain Antonio. Antonio is a hospitable host with great knowledge of the perfect swimming holes off the coast of Capri Island. He also has impeccable Italian chef skills and can communicate in English. The sleeping quarters are clean and comfortable and the living quarters spacious and inviting. Thank you Antonio for a wonderful Italian summer holiday!
Le Pigu was a beautiful, well maintained boat. We had the roomy front bedroom with our own bathroom. The boat contained all the essentials for cooking, space inside for inclement weather entertainment, and easy accessibility in and out of the boat. We opted for the mini-cruise package with Captain Antonio and since the weather was so beautiful we did not utilize much of the inside space except to sleep. We visited the areas of Capri Island, Amalfi, and Positano and enjoyed the food, shopping, site seeing, and people watching on shore. Although our fast sailing time on the boat was limited due to wind conditions, we could still enjoy the water (swimming), beautiful scenery traveling around the coast, and great conversations with Captain Antonio who could tell us about the history, customs, and of course sea stories. We felt very safe with the skills of Captain Antonio and appreciated the freedom he gave us to choose our adventure plans. Best way ever to see the Amalfi coast.

All Expectations Met
Our stay on the on The Pigu was exactly as expected and and we thoroughly enjoyed the boat and Captain Antonio's hospitality. My wife and I had planned to spend 2 nights on the boat - the first in the harbour and the second moored off the coast of Capri. We arrived by train in Naples and Antonio arranged for a taxi to meet us. The driver knew exactly where to drop us off and meet up with Antonio who showed us around the boat which was in excellent condition, and briefed us on the local attractions. There is a small store nearby where you can buy everything you need to cook dinner but we ordered pasta to go and ate in the boat's cockpit. The evening was great but the night was the hottest of the year and we didn't sleep well.
It didn't deter us from setting sail bright and early the next morning after a breakfast of meats, cheeses and fruit. Again though, the weather wasn't on our side as the seas were rough and we both were feeling sea sick by the time we reached Capri. Antonio cooked us one of our best meals of our trip and we sampled his homemade olive oil, wine and limoncello which were outstanding. The evening meal with Antonio's company and surrounded by million dollar yachts in one of the most beautiful places on earth is something we'll never forget. Unfortunately, both my wife and I could not take another hot night on the boat so we booked a room at a local bed and breakfast and said our goodbye to Antonio who apologized profusely for the weather conditions.
Antonio, thank you for your wonderful hospitality, your expert sailing skills, the fantastic meal and your warm company. The weather was not your fault of course, and we hope to see you again the next time we visit your beautiful country!

The PIgu was Amazing experience
Finding Antonio was incredible. The experience was absolutely perfect. It was clear from the start that Antonio has a calling to help people enjoy the beauty of the area. From the beginning he worked hard to understand our interest and cater to our needs. We are a family of 3 boys, 2 of which are teens. .and all 3 said this experience was the highlight of our trip to Italy. The Pigu was in impeccable condition. . . .food was incredible. . .and Antonio's restaurant recommendations were perfect. He anticipated our needs in every way. I boat was absolutely perfect for a family of 5. I can think of no better way to see Capri and Positano. Antonio is simply a good, honest person. He seems to have a calling to do what he does. It is my pleasure to leave him a very well deserved 5 star review. Antonio, THANK YOU! I hope we can meet again.
