The posted photos seriously undersell this cabin which sits on the edge of a small lake teeming with birds plus a resident beaver and some other larger wildlife including deer. The outside deck is the perfect spot for late afternoon relaxation and wildlife spotting.
The cabin itself is large, simple and very functional although perhaps the double beds could do with a mattress upgrade!
Situated about 25 minutes to Waterton NP entrance it was the perfect location to explore the park and have private secluded self-catered accomodation.
The arrival instructions were very clear.
Only 4 out of 5 for accuracy of online listing as it was so much better than we expected.!

Views and wildlife spotting are wonderful, we even saw a moose in the water one evening.

Nice and Peaceful
The cabin was just as described and fit our needs nicely. It's proximity to Waterton Lake National Park was good. The only issue we had was getting to the property. The directions failed to include the code to the gate. The host responded immediately when we asked for a code, but the code she provided did not work. We were able to get in when a nice neighbor approached us at the gate and, when told we were trying to get to Trapper's Cabin, gave us a code that worked. That was the only glitch in an otherwise excellent trip.
All of us enjoyed the peace and quiet location of this property, the sights and sounds of wildlife, the comfortable accommodations.

What a beautiful place. It was close to where we wanted to go (30 min from Waterton townsite) but quiet and private. The pond was so serene and the stargazing was great. Comfortable and well appointed, if I could buy a place like this for retirement I would do it in a heartbeat.
Stayed cool in very hot weather. The loft could sleep at least four with two in each room and a comfy futon as well. Easy to find and Cheryl was a great host. Close to lovely Waterton but Payne Lake was great for fishing and paddle boarding. Would definitely stay again.
We loved our stay at Trapper’s Cabin! It was very cozy and secluded. Perfect place to unplug & enjoy nature. We will definitely stay again but for longer.
This is a great rustic cabin tucked away from everything but close to Waterton. We only spent a couple nights here as a base for exploring Waterton. I wouldn’t have minded an extra day just to chill on the front porch to read and bird watch.
We stayed here to celebrate our first anniversary, it was a beautiful spot to be able to do so. It’s convenient to access Waterton and was pet friendly. We enjoyed the ability to cook meals and have the property to ourselves. The host checked in with us prior to arrival and was very helpful. We will be back again, five stars from us.
This was my second stay this year. Don't expect a 5 star cabin. It's comfortable though.
If you want comfort around the fire pit, bring your own lawn chairs.
If looking for nature and privacy, the property is magnificent.
I'll be back. I love this place! ❤️
Very private with a beautiful scenery. Close to Payne Lake and Waterton.

This cabin suited our needs completely. It is "rustic" but beautiful. The pond is fully of activity from ducks to birds to beavers and deer. The owner was very responsive. Beautiful location we will be back. Only 10 mins to Waterton Park entrance
I went with my 3 kids and partner and we all had an amazing time. The cabin was exactly as advertised and with everything we needed to have a nice relaxing stay. The google pin was a little off as to the location, but Cheryl was very quick to drive up to where we were and guide us to the cabin. The area was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. We will definitely come back next year!
A hidden gem! A wonderful experience connecting with nature and wildlife. Cabin was very comfortable and has all of the essentials. I searched for a remote location where I could unplug and this was it. I'll be back! Such a great experience.
Had a great at the cabin with some friends for a weekend getaway (5 adults). Best of both worlds being close to Waterton, and having a private and peaceful cabin experience. Would definitely return.
Nice little cabin. Was so nice to sit outside and hear the birds. Should have brought binoculars!
Was grateful for the ac when it got hot as the cabin heats up quickly.
Nice to get away from the crowds.
