This was an adorable, spotless and comfortable guesthouse in a great location/beautiful neighborhood. It was perfect for a week stay for myself, my husband and our two small pups. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing easy meals and the beds were very comfortable.

Were happy to hear you were satisfied with our casita and the amenities.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We hope you come back again some time.
The casita was clean, comfortable and welcoming. It had everything I needed. I loved the SW decor. Very colorful. The king bed was very comfortable and the fenced in backyard was great.
Loved this casita - comfortable beds, peaceful location and everything you could need in a rental. The owner was very responsive and all instructions were clear - no surprises. Except that it was better than imagined.
Well-stocked and comfortable casita with a super comfortable king bed, roomy kitchen, and fenced yard for the dogs. Located in a quiet and walkable neighborhood, it’s close to grocery stores and at the foot of the mountains. It made for a perfect Thanksgiving getaway.

Very nice place. There was a great yard for our pup as well. Bed was comfortable. Generally this was one of the better properties where we have stayed.

Thank you, we are glad you and your pup enjoyed your stay. We have stayed at several VRBO's and would have to agree that ours is nicer and better stocked than most of the ones we have stayed in. (Thanks for confirming that)
The casita was an ideal place to stay. Beautiful, spacious, and clean with all the amenities one could want. The beds are very comfortable. It is located in a nice, safe and quiet neighborhood. We would gladly stay here again.

That is what we like to hear. Thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you again.
Such a nice home back in a quiet neighborhood. It has nice space outside to relax and listen to the many birds hanging out. Kitchen is well equipped and we fixed our breakfast each morning. There are so many wonderful places to eat really close too.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for our casita in the Oro Valley area. We appreciate it and are glad you had a nice time.
Wonderful place to stay. Everything was just perfect and I absolutely loved and appreciated the labeling of everything and all the instructions, it took the guessing out of the picture. I’ve been to many places where I tried to figure things out and it was complicated, this place was a breeze.
Loved our stay in this cozy casita. It was a great home base for a variety of activities including biking, hiking, running, and swimming at Oro Valley aquatic center. The space was perfect for a month long visit for two adults. Kitchen was well equipped and beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean upon our arrival and checking in was easy. We hope to rent it again on a future trip to Tucson.
It’s a nice quiet neighborhood. I enjoyed the nightly serenades - hooting of owls, short coyote parties. It was central to the places (mainly parks) that we wanted to visit. The kitchen is well appointed, everything was clean. Beware of the toaster, it sets off the fire alarms- we just used it outside. A very comfortable place.

Me and wife had great time in Tucson. Weather was very nice and house/neighborhood could not have been netter. Made us consider moving to area someday. House had most all utensils/supplies needed for 3-week stay. Owner lived adjacent to property respected our privacy. Would recommend for anyone visiting area.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on our casita in the Oro Valley area. Glad it worked out well and you liked Tucson enough to consider a move.
The casita was clean and well equipped with all cookware, linens and basically anything needed. Lots of information was available about local sights, restaurants and activities. Host was friendly and quickly responsive to query. Location was easily accessible. We would consider staying here again if the occasion arises.

Comfortable and Relaxing
My husband and I (and our 2 small dogs) stayed here for one week. The house is on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood. It is well stocked with everything you need, and the beds are super-comfortable. The fenced yard is nice if you want to soak up some sun. The rental transaction was easy and we would stay again and also recommend to friends.

Were glad you enjoyed your stay. We try and make it as enjoyable as possible and we love to have returning guests.
Great little casita that totally met our needs for the first half of our 2023 Winter adventure. Everything we needed was included, and provisioning was available close by. We'll be back!
Casita was located in Oro Valley, a very nice area. Perfect for 2 adults but would be crowded with 4. Weather did not permit us (Feb.) to enjoy the patio. Did enjoy having the fireplace due to the cold. Located near many places to eat & shop. Enjoyed Trader Joes. Would highly recommend staying there !!!

Thank you for the review. Please let us know how we could have improved to get a higher rating.
Our casita was perfect for a home base while we visited local family and took day trips.
We were here from NW Michigan, to see our daughter and her family, who, incidentally, live just 1.8 miles from our host’s casita! It was perfect for a place to come to after family activities, and day trips. Location was ideal for grocery shopping, gas, car washes, seeing my favorite desert garden (Tohono Chul), centrally located for all of the National and State Parks we visited and hiked in. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, there was a delightful patio in back to sit and enjoy evenings, there was garbage pick up as stated in instructions given by our host, there was plenty of closet space for our month long stay requirements, and we were provided with a Hummingbird feeder to keep the migrating hummers happy! Our privacy was honored throughout our stay. Communicating with our host was appropriate and helpful.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to write a review for our casita in the Oro Valley area. We are glad it worked out for you and your family.
We had a wonderful time at Deanne’s casita. I the location was perfect for us. It was great to be close to the city (trader Joe’s, sprouts, Whole Foods are a few minutes away) and yet feel far from it. The neighborhood was really nice for walking our dogs. We did a lot of hiking and we found Deanne’s casita to be close to a number of dog friendly trails..Catalina State Park, Oracle State Park, the wild burro loop in Marana, and Sweetwater Preserve. Also, if you have doggies, check out DeGrazia’s Art Gallery in the sun..a 14 minute drive from the casita and pups are welcomed inside. Oro Valley has a farmers’ market and concerts in the park. Deanie was a very nice host and the casita was clean. If you’re considering her rental, I highly suggest that you book a reservation.

About the host
Hosted by Deanie Burris
Born and raised right here in Tucson. We have raised our 3 children and now have 6 beautiful grandchildren all within a mile. We designed the casita in 2003 in a way that would be functional, enjoyable and as private as possible for our guests to enjoy and remodeled it in September of 2025 adding some upgrades including a dishwasher. I own and operate a local banquet hall & wedding chapel and have also been in the real estate business for nearly 30 years. I enjoy both jobs and meeting new people. In my spare time I play volleyball whenever possible and plan on traveling once we retire. We are a hard-working family that loves dogs, athletic sports, drag racing and the outdoors.
Why they chose this property
My grandparents lived in this area since the early 1960's and at that time there were no stores within several miles, but today this property is very convenient to just about anything anyone would need but because it shares a 1.3 acre lot with the main house it feels like it is in a very rural setting. You get the true feeling of living in the desert without being too far from town. Located less than a mile from major shopping, dining, cinemas and more. Bring your best friend and take long walks along the desert on the paved streets of the neighborhood. Bring your bike and ride along the 101-mile loop along the river (dry river) around Tucson, Hike the Catalina and Tucson mountains trails. Visit the desert Oasis of Sabino Canyon, or Catalina State Park, learn more about desert animals at the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum, Visit the Pima Air & Space Museum, Take the mural walk downtown to see all the beautiful murals, visit the Tucson Museum of art, attend a show in the first air-conditioned building in Tucson at the Fox Theater. Catch a musical at the Linda Ronstdat music hall, enjoy a Cowboy steak at Pinnacle Peak steakhouse in trail dust town (don't forget to wear a tie you are ready to part with). For some upscale shopping take a short drive to the foothills and visit the La Encantada shopping mall. Visit the DeGrazia gallery in the sun. If you're lucky you can catch a Pow Wow at San Xavier Del Bac Mission and try some authentic Indian Fry Bread, take a short drive southwest and visit one of the casino's or catch a show. Check out the butterfly exhibit at the Tucson Botanical Gardens, take a stroll around the Reid Park Zoo, less than a mile away go for breakfast in the cafe at Tohono Chul Gardens, don't miss a Arizona Wildcat's sporting event.
What makes this property unique
Gorgeous desert surroundings with daily visits from quail, rabbits, sometimes a coyote, bobcat or javelin and beautiful Catalina Mountain and sunset views. Totally detached private casita with its own driveway and privately fenced yard. Quiet neighborhood with great streets for walking & biking. Every detail has been thought out to make you feel at home and have the amenities you need for an enjoyable stay. Well equipped kitchen, Great wi-fi, smart TV's in the living area and both bedrooms, ceiling fans in all the rooms, plenty of linens, cozy fireplace for those crisp winter evenings. Extended covered patio to relax and watch the wildlife or catch the mountain turn pink at sunset.
