About Karen Hutchins-Keim

Karen Hutchins-Keim purchased this Cabin in 1940
Why Karen Hutchins-Keim chose Tuftonboro
My grandmother purchased the land where our rental property is now in 1940 from a neighbor. There she built, often with her own two hands, one of the houses on the property with wood from trees felled during the 1938 hurricane that hit New England. She passed away in 2008, but the home remains a central feature of our family. I, my sister, and four cousins have been coming to 'the lake' for our entire lives and my aunt even lives down the road.

Peaceful Cabin in the Woods
We enjoyed staying in this cabin on the lake. It had everything we needed and we were very comfortable. Swimming in the lake was perfect. We loved the lake views and sunsets.
The cottage was great. It was outfitted with everything you needed to enjoy the beautiful lake. The camp was cozy and inviting with great outdoor porch and deck to view the sunsets.
Peaceful in nature. Everything one would need and a huge step up from camping!
Rustic but quiet and beautiful!
Love this rustic cabin!
This is our 5th year at this spot. So relaxing, unplugged, quiet and full of nature. Loons woke us in the morning. Water was gorgeous. Kids had a blast swimming off the shore and looking for fish. We love it and it's all you really need for a relaxing lake week in the summer!!
Beautiful view and peaceful location
We had a thoroughly relaxing stay at this beautiful, secluded camp with an outstanding view of Lake Winnipesaukee. An ideal spot if you or friends are renting the adjoining camp house which is right next door. The waterside deck is a great perch for enjoying the breeze and view. We found swimming or boating to be tricky, however, because the shore is rocky and there is no pier; and, as the house is situated on "the broads" of the lake, the water was choppy for much of the week we were there. We would definitely recommend this place!!
Perfect location for swimming, canoeing/kayaking, and relaxing. 15 minutes from the quaint summer town of Wolfeboro, NH and an hour away from North Conway and the White Mountains and great hiking. 2 hours from Boston.
