About this property
A Perfect Lake Front Condominium
The lake photos shown are the ACTUAL VIEW you will enjoy sitting on your back deck from a shady cove in SC looking all the way into Georgia!
Delivered to your front door by the Savannah River National Scenic Highway (HWY 187) this peaceful and park like setting will melt tensions away as you enjoy the quiet, privacy, and views of this recently updated lakefront condo. Located on the clean clear big water of Lake Hartwell it is a place where deer, turkey, fox, beaver, raccoon, squirrels, geese, ducks, osprey, loons, crane, and gulls, share the tranquility.
Sitting in a large protected cove near Hartwell Dam your condo is the perfect launching ground to the 55,000 acre playground in your back yard. Away from boat traffic it is ideal for fishing, swimming, boating, and water sports of every kind. There are 3 courtesy docks available for overnight boat tie up; the closest is 100 yards away and within eyesight of the condo.
This relatively unknown little paradise on Lake Hartwell is protected too. Immediately adjoining is Sadlers Creek State Park. This 400 acre peninsula acts as a nature and wildlife preserve while offering a launch ramp, docks, camping, biking, walking trails, and some private sandy beaches if you explore!
No horns, sirens, passing trucks, or traffic noises and no constant buzzzzz of Jet ski’s all day.
A fantastic and affordable getaway for singles, couples, or a small family and it is ONLY:
8 minutes to Bi-Lo or Food Lion
10 minutes to Anderson SC
10 minutes to Hartwell GA.
25 minutes to Clemson
All things considered this is one of the best values you will find on the lake!
-Lake Hartwell is a 55,000 acre impoundment with 980 miles of shoreline. Great for sailing, boating, fishing, or just plain relaxing and gazing over the tranquil waters.
-In February 2008 and again in February 2015 Lake Hartwell was the site of the $1.200,000 B.A.S.S. BASSMASTER’s CLASSIC known as the “super bowl” of Bass Fishing tournaments.
-Striper/Hybrid fishing is excellent and has caused quite a stir at Lake Hartwell. It can be very exciting when large schools begin to feed on the surface. Several guide services are available.
-Recreation Areas offering designated beach/swim areas such as Singing Pines, Hartwell Dam, Big Oaks, and Watsadlers are only minutes away.
-Hartwell Dam & Visitor Center offers brochures, maps, displays, and information about Hartwell Lake, including tours of the Army Corps of engineers’ hydro electrical operations.
-Hartwell Dam Walking Trail begins beside the visitor center and is an extraordinarily scenic paved and handicap accessible 1.37-mile trail following the shoreline up to the concrete portion of Hartwell Dam. Fantistic views for a morning or evening walk or run.
-Surprisingly there is designated stocked Trout Water in the tail race below Hartwell Dam.
Savannah River National Scenic Highway The Savannah River Scenic Byway is a 110 mile gateway to the SC "freshwater coast". Its lakes, Hartwell, Russell, and Thurmond, includes more than 2,700 miles of shoreline. The scenic highway provides access to 59 recreation areas and it provides access to your vacatioin condo at Hartwell Villas.
Restaurants, malls, movies, and shopping are only 10-15 minutes away in Anderson SC.
Great Mexican food and fast food are available in Hartwell GA also only 10 minutes away.
Clemson by water is about 25 miles up lake and is about a 20 minute drive.

About the host
Hosted by Dale and Helen Merrill

My wife Helen and I are native to the mountains and live in Asheville NC. We both love trips to the lake whether boating or fishing. After years of driving back and forth to many different lakes for a single day on the water, Lake Hartwell became my favorite, and I discovered this park like getaway right on the water! It is the perfect setting, quiet and peaceful, with scenic and soothing lake views looking all the way into Georgia! Before I met Helen it was my fishing hut, thankfully her touches converted this Condo into a warm friendly inviting place we are proud to call our lake home. We do not get to go as often as we wish but get a lot of satisfaction sharing it with other lake lovers!

Why they chose this property
Hartwell Villas is an older condo development built in the late 70's. The Villas are spread out on 40 acres and over 2000 feet of shoreline. Property like this is simply not available today. This park-like setting has great lake access and stunning lake views. It even adjoins the 400-acre Sadlers Creek State Park which feels like an amenity offering launch ramps, hiking/biking trails, a fishing pier, and a giant pavilion! All this in a serene setting only 15 minutes to downtown Anderson or 10 minutes to downtown Hartwell Ga.
What makes this property unique
At Hartwell Villas only a few units offer really great unobstructed lake views, I progressively bought and sold units, ending up with one of the choice Condos offering not only fantastic views but great access to the water!
