About this property

Seascape with Beautiful Beach, Pools, Golf, & Tennis

Located in Seascape, a gated community, our very spacious 2 bedroom, ground level vacation home is located on a quiet street that is great for children. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the 2nd bedroom has 2 full size beds, all with with good quality and very comfortable mattresses. There are 2 full baths, one with a tub/shower and the other with a walk-in shower.
We strive to keep our condo updated and attractive. The living room sofa, love seat and chair are new. We are constantly updating and refreshing other areas of the condo.

Park in a covered private carport steps from the front door. The patio portion has a wide swing in addition to a bench for sitting. A glass storm door is on the front door. In the living room, French doors open onto a large, private, fenced patio courtyard. Table and chairs provide outdoor siting in the courtyard.
You will be very close to one of Seascape's 5 gorgeous pools, the tennis courts and a basketball court. The closest pool is about 100 or so steps away and is heated and covered in the winter.

The beautiful sugar-white beach is a short walk away or you can drive and park in a private lot across from the beach and the Whale's Tail (where you can have breakfast overlooking the brilliant blue water of the Gulf or have beverages, lunch or ice cream while at the beach). You can play golf on Seascape's award-winning 18 hole golf course and driving range.

Restaurants, shopping and grocery stores are all very close. There are several restaurants located on the Seascape premises. The Silver Sands Outlet Mall, the nation's largest designer outlet center is just 1 mile away. Downtown Destin with the wharf for charter fishing boats, shopping and more restaurants is just 15 minutes away. Fresh seafood is abundant for eating out or cooking in.

You can ride a bike or walk on the wide bike path that follows the entire beach road and much further. A board walk is on the beach side of the road that runs the entire span of the beach at Seascape.

We are pet-friendly to responsible "pet parents". Your pet must be crated when left alone.

I really love this area and the location of our vacation home. There is so much to do here. Everything is so close and convenient, yet its peaceful and quiet if you prefer a relaxing trip. You can drive everywhere but the walking is so nice with the beautiful grounds and lakes.
This is a smoke free condo with no smoking allowed inside our condo.

During the summer months, from late May to early September, we rent only weekly from SATURDAY to SATURDAY. This site it not intuitive for setting up check-in, check-out days for different times of the year, so please contact me if you want other dates though out the year.

For snowbird rental, please contact me for monthly rates for January through March.

It was a very pleasant stay. Only had a couple of issues. One was the dryer did not work very efficiently and the shower in the back bedroom would not get hot no matter what. The surrounding area was very clean, quiet and well maintained. I would most definitely stay here again.

Everything was really nice. It's really close to the pool and tennis courts. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen has all you will need. The only problem was the parking. We had 2 full size trucks and there was not enough space for parking. Other than that, it was great.

Great Spring Break Vacation

We had a great vacation at Seascape on Miramar Beach in Destin. Seascape has so many amenities and this property is located right in the middle of them. My family of 5 had plenty of room in this condo with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. We loved the heated pool that is just a few steps from the condo. The private parking lot across from the beach is wonderful too if you don't want to walk as far with all of your beach "stuff." The neighborhood was very quiet, even with all of the amenities nearby. It was an added bonus to be able to bring our little dog along with us for vacation. The courtyard attached to the condo has large privacy fencing around it, making it a great option for small kids or a pet. This is not the newest place, but it was as described, and comfortable. The owner is very quick to respond to any question or request as well! Overall, I would recommend this property for a great vacation.

Good location, but not accurate listing

After reading the reviews, we should have trusted the previous guests experiences. We also should have asked for more photos - there’s a reason there aren’t many pictures. The location on the map listing was incorrect. We ended up purchasing our own cleaning supplies because the property was filthy (dishes, floors, counters, bathrooms). The host offered to send someone there to clean the following day but we needed it to be clean when we arrived. There are really way too many issues to list with this property but we will say that it is in desperate need of updating the entire home. Communication with the host was good, that’s why we are giving the listing 2 stars, not 1.

My family and I arrived at the condo at 3:00 pm, check-in time, and it was very dirty and the maid had only remade the beds with clean linens and nothing else had been done. The floors were all sticky and the kitchen was awful. I called the owner and she tried to reach the maid and finally did and the maid came back at 6:30 pm, but by this time my mother and I had already cleaned the condo. The carpets in both bedrooms need cleaned and the tile floor needs steamed. The dryer needs fixed, it took two or three times to get clothes dry. The kitchen towels, pots and pans need replaced and the utensils need replaced. The entire condo needs a deep cleaning, some paint and updating. When arriving we also were under the impression that you would be given a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent. Nothing is provided so make sure you bring these items with you. On a more positive note the pools were nice and after we cleaned the condo it was an okay week. The area was quiet, the grill was nice to have. The owner did return the deposit and the cleaning fee, since the condo was not clean when we arrived, very promptly.

Shocked at the poor condition of the rental. Best thing was the beds and closeness to the pool.

We have been renting vacation homes for many years. Most of them all along the panhandle side of Florida and this is the first time I have written a review. Most being homes vs duplex’s as we have dogs but I surely thought that the property would have still been kept up. Upon getting to the gate they had a guard there that was extremely rude. We didn’t know the name of the area the villa/ duplex was in which upset him. Please take note that it is in the Tennis court villas. Then when we made it to the villa/duplex I opened the door only to be shocked by how dirty everything was. The walls and furniture are covered in smudges, scuffs and dirty hand prints. There were a few water leak marks and rot areas on the ceiling and up the walls in the living area. There is a hole in the wall from where the door had gone through it at a previous visit as well which I’m sure could have been prevented by a stopper being put in place. There was damage to the counter top in the kitchen which I caught my finger in when cleaning. Then there was the damage in the master shower area. The toilet paper holder had been broken off leaving a metal plate exposed. The left over pieces to it then placed on top of the counter in there. There were broken pieces of tile in the shower area and areas that the grout was never even put in. The flooring of the shower really hurt your feet as well as the grout was cut short there as well. The furniture in the home was ok but clearly needed to be cleaned desperately. There was a lounge that was so dirty we had to throw something over it while there. Well, we did that with the sofas as well on the arm areas. The kitchen table is on its last legs as well as it wobbles terribly. In fact we were scared to use it. The beds are nice to sleep on.. but most the outlets in the home don’t hold a plug in so forget using your phone as your alarm. Another thing in the bedrooms that was funny was the knobs on the closet doors. They were just placed in the hole vs screwed in so when you went to open the closet they would come right out into your hand. Really it was just one thing after another with how the property is being kept up with. It has so much potential to be a nice spot. Let alone the value now a days. We also had problems with the dryer working and or staying plugged in. Lol. Those outlets are a real issue. Even a fire hazards. The court yard is not being kept either but there are some good sized lizard out there which was cool.

The house was not easy to find because the guards at the gate did not know how to explain how to get to it, and they did not have any maps. Once we found it, we were very glad we brought some of our own cleaning supplies with us. The place was filthy. Stains along with some kind of sticky substance on tables, counters, walls and in the refrigerator. The couches and living room chair had stains on them. The silverware drawer in the kitchen was hanging loose and we couldn't open. We reported it the owner on Sunday, and she did respond right away, but it took until Thursday before a handyman made it out there to fix it. There was a dirty towel hanging on the back of one of the bedroom doors. We also had to clean almost an inch of dust off of the tops of shelf units, ceiling fans and the tops of door frames. There were some kind of stains covering the decorative shower curtain in the hall bath, and we weren't sure what was on the plastic shower curtain, so we simply bought a new one and replaced it. There was also dust built up on the base board in the bathroom that was not noticeable unless the door was closed, so apparently the "cleaning service" doesn't close the door when they "clean". There is also dust (?) blocking the hall bath fan, so it doesn't really work. The louvered doors on the laundry closets were also coated in dust. Most of the electrical outlets need to be replaced as the plugs would not stay in. For some reason, there is a light switch in the ensuite bath simply hanging out of the wall - not sure how that is safe. The shower doors in that bathroom do not close all the way, so the floor gets wet. We have plenty of photos and videos if needed. The owner needs to do some improvements and get a better cleaning company to do a deep clean.

close to the pool, little fenced in area if we had brought our dogs, would have been great. easy access to the beach. really appreciated the owners help when i was struggling with VRBO access--she contacted me within minutes to help us get access to the property. She also refunded our pet deposit very quickly when we let her know our dogs weren't coming. very nice to work with.

Wonderful!!

The condo was very clean and welcoming when we arrived. It was located on a very pretty and quiet street. It was also very near the beach and pool. It was the perfect place to stay with our 3 young granddaughters. They had a blast, and we had the time of our lives with them. The only drawback, was that the outside grill was unusable, but that was really not a big deal for us. The owner seemed very nice in her emails. We would certainly recommend this vacation rental, and if in the area again, would pick the same place to stay!!

Our best seascape stay in 29 years!!

We stay every year at Seascape and I just love this villa! From the lovely large oak tree and bench out front to the nice second bathroom( a rarity in the two bedroom units), this villa is easily my new favorite. Seascape is quiet and comfortable. The beaches may get crowded at Destin these days but you can count on a nice large pool nearby this unit to float in peace at your leisure (many times, we were the only ones in the pool). We had fun grilling in the enclosed, private patio as well. Can't wait to go back.

Such a nice house with everything you will need and so close to beach and shopping. Not crowded like in Destin but just close enough to go do all the fun things in Destin. Would visit again.

Perfect place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in Florida and this condo made it even better! The condo owner is very friendly ~ Everything at the condo is exactly as it is described. The fact that it is pet friendly and has a washer and dryer was the icing on the cake! It was clean and conveniently located. We felt very safe and secure here. I also love the fact that the parking at this condo is covered. Everything we wanted to do was nearby. We especially enjoyed the private beach parking and the fact that if we wanted to walk to the beach instead of drive that it wasn't far from the condo. The week was very enjoyable and relaxing. We miss it already! We are looking ahead to our next vacation and will definitely stay in this condo again.

Great getaway!

Three girlfriends and I found this condo at the last minute for a two day getaway. Phyllis was wonderful to work with and the place was great! The picture of the King room is a little old. It has been updated and very nicely decorated. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans and utensils. It was perfect for our quick getaway! It is in the large complex of Seascape but in the quiet section that is wonderfully landscaped and maintained. The pool was just steps away with plenty of chairs to choose from. As far as beach access goes, we drove 2 minutes to a parking area for seascape patrons only located at the crosswalk that goes directly to the beach. You could walk it, but if you are carrying chairs and other things it might be a little too far. I would definitely recommend this condo to friends. It is perfect for friends or couples with children. Thanks again!

Great Vacay!!!

Our family decided to escape Mardi Gras at the last minute and happened upon this condo. How blessed we were to find it!! It was everything we could ask for and more. The condo fit our family perfectly. It was a home away from home. The property was clean and well maintained! We really enjoyed sitting outside on the patio! There is so much to do on the Seascape property alone and we took advantage of it. We swam in the heated pool, played tennis, and rented bikes to ride along the beach path. The fact that it is pet friendly was a huge plus for us as well!! And my husband loved the covered parking!! We also ate at our favorite eatery...The Old Bay Steamer. Great steamed seafood. The beach is just outside the backgate (about a three minute walk). The location of this property is close to everything around town! We are thrilled to have found this condo and won't stay anywhere else!!!

This area to us is simply the best. Growing up on the Gulf Coast, I am familiar with all the beaches and love Destin the best. Our condo is very close to the beach and only steps from the pool. We love the grounds with colorful flowers, lakes, and the golf course. We love walking throughout Seascape and along the beach sidewalk and board walk.

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with Seascape when it was being build and are one of the original owners, and the only owner of our villa, which is our second home and favorite place to visit. I love to decorate and am constantly making improvements, both big and small.
