Our 7 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom home featuring endless hot water, attached two car garage and 2.5 acre yard including a private playground and fire-pit, is perfect for large groups including family reunions, sports teams, school field trips, corporate retreats and hunting and fishing enthusiasts. Spacious driveway provides plenty of free parking for all.

We are centrally located to many popular locations in The Four Corners Area.
- Historic Downtown Durango and The Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
- Trimble Hot Springs
- La Plata Canyon for hiking, waterfalls and fishing
- Lake Nighthorse for fishing and water sports
- Mesa Verde National Park

We had such a wonderful stay! The place easily accommodated our entire family during our Polar Express trip and early Thanksgiving dinner. The kids each had their own room for naps, which was a lifesaver, and everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in. The fully equipped kitchen made cooking so easy, and the playhouse was a huge hit with the little ones!We also really appreciated having access to the garage—it made unloading and loading so convenient.The only small suggestion we have to make this place absolutely perfect would be updating the bedding and pillows. Some fresh, cozier sets would make the beds feel even warmer and more inviting.Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely come back!

We enjoyed our time at your home. It suited our needs very well. We appreciated the many details you provided such as crib, high chair , monitor, pots and pans, toys , and plastic wrap. It was unseasonably warm to our great delight so we enjoyed time at the river. It would have been helpful to have more beach towels so we didn’t worry about ruining shower towels. Alsof, our group would have preferred more thinner bed pillows as we tend to be side or stomach sleepers. The kids really enjoyed playing in the yard. We set up a volleyball net and hammock and hid Easter eggs. We also had fun taking silly pictures with the mountains in the background. Having a grill was a huge bonus so we could take part of meal prep outside and watch younger children. We had an outdoor yoga session to stretch. The house worked out great for my kids, grandkids, and me to get together. The cousins loved being together. We used the playroom a lot and even had a dance party down there. I think it was a weekend the grandkids will talk about for a long time.

We try to make sure people know that the house is in a rural area by our listing title, "Perfect Country Getaway." I'm sorry you were uncomfortable finding the home. No other guest has ever mentioned that, possibly becasue any maps program will take you right to it. Although the yards are large by suburban standards, there are neighbors, an elementary school and church right around the corner. I assure you, you won't find many safer neighborhoods in America. We raised our 12 kids there, surrounded by friends and family. I'm glad the inside was nice.

This beautiful home was perfect for our big family vacation! We skied in Purgatory and spent time in Durango. Perfect location and there was plenty of room for all of us ranging from 4 months to 65 years old! The basement was awesome for the kids and the kitchen had everything we needed. Family vacation

My husband grew up in the area and graduated from Durango High School. We both attended Fort Lewis College in Durango. We are using the property as a VRBO to accommodate a move to Utah to attend graduate school. The above picture is a few of our kids in a kiva at Spruce Tree House in Mesa Verde National Park.

Why they chose this property

We custom built our home here in 2005 to accommodate our 12 kids and be near family.

What makes this property unique

We have loved having a quiet, spacious yard with room to garden, ride the four-wheeler and go-kart, play on the swings, and have bonfires while enjoying the stars every summer. Sunrises and sunsets have been some of our favorite times to enjoy as a family.
