Amazing property!! Beautiful home with plenty of space for our friends and family. The kids loved the playground and outdoor space! Will definitely rent again.
The weekend couldn’t have turned out more perfectly celebrating our daughter’s graduation!! The house and grounds are stunning and Greg and Meredith were very gracious. Thank you for a memorable weekend and a fabulous time!!! We absolutely loved and enjoyed our stay!
We went to Chapel Hill with family to visit & celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. What a great accommodations and experience we all had at this beautiful home. The host was spectacular in every way and couldn't do enough for our group. You will not be disappointed with your stay here and we are all looking forward to returning soon.
We had an amazing weekend. We stayed in the house with my daughter and all of her bridesmaids. It was the perfect house to get ready for her wedding. The house is wonderful for a large group. The kitchen is big and inviting. The outside space is also perfect for gatherings.
The property was perfect for our intimate wedding with family and friends. We held the ceremony in the gazebo and the reception in the barn. There were many options on this lovely property for where to hold events. Martin, the caretaker, was very attentive and helpful in meeting all of our needs with getting set up and making sure things went smoothly. The owner answered communications promptly and was very accommodating. Lovely getaway in Chapel Hill!
The property is exquisite! The owner/property manager was always quick to respond to our needs and made our stay feel like we were immediately part of his family and honored he could share his home with us.

Wonderful Spot for a Long Weekend
Great place! We comfortably stayed with our large family and there was something to do for people of all ages. Loved the zipline dropping into the lake and enjoyed the shooting range so much the group went two days in a row. Thanks to the Bohlen family for their wonderful hospitality!

Great house with a homey feel
I visited with a group of 15 friends from college, and we had a wonderful time. The owner was accommodating of our varied arrival times and even helped us find some musical equipment so we could do some jamming. The house had everything we needed, including cooking equipment, and the hot tub was definitely appreciated, since the temps dropped into the 20s while we were there. I would definitely stay here again.

Great for a family reunion/wedding
The property is absolutely gorgeous, especially the outdoor space. There were a few things we wished we'd asked for more direction about, like how to turn off some beeps for the security system or how to turn on some of the lights, but overall the place is excellent. Lots of space to explore!

Exquisite Farmhouse on Large Property
Staying at Bohlen Farms was an amazing experience. The Farmhouse itself is luxurious, and the surrounding grounds are beautiful. The lake (with zip line, water trampoline, and kayak) was a major highlight. The property is only a 15-minute drive away from downtown Chapel Hill, which was very convenient. Many thanks to our host Greg for the generous hospitality, and for facilitating a special weekend.

Magnificent Property - An amazing wedding venue exceeding all expectations
Our weekend purpose was venue for rehearsal dinner for 65 with lodging for the groomsmen and extended groom' s family. PERFECTION for our need. All guests were amazed at the magnificence of the place. The patio with expansive views of the lake was perfect for our cocktail hour before dinner. The large, well equipped kitchen with huge granite island was a great base of operations. The barn dresses out nicely for any dinner or reception with ambient lighting in rafters & cooling fan to mitigate summer heat. Wonderful to hear the rain on the tin roof during the short thunderstorm which, with the barn set-up, we were well prepared for. The house was very clean with all rooms / bedrooms sumptuously appointed with plenty of linens & towels.
Perfect setting for groomsmen to relax with no need to leave the property. After large farm breakfast, the groom's party enjoyed shooting skeet on a range overlooking a vineyard, a setting fit for Garden & Gun. The owner's son Martin was a most gracious and patient host providing guidance to those less experienced with shotguns.
Great park like place for open house for out of town guests the day of the wedding - many of all ages enjoyed the deep cool lake with waterfall, jump-off rock, zip-line, trampoline tube and kayak. Party continued on the third day with after wedding brunch.
Greg, the owner, was very gracious allowing access to the view property enabling us to fine tune our wedding plans.

Perfect Reunion Weekend
Beautiful retreat for a weekend reunion. It felt like we were out in woods but were only minutes from town. Greg was a gracious host- always available to help with any needs, serving wine and cheese for us the first night, lighting the fire, taking the guys skeet shooting. Sitting around the roaring fire in the gazebo was a perfect way to end the day. Loved hiking around the property. The secret garden was beautiful! Would love to return in the summer when we could swim in the beautiful pond. We had 7 couples in our group and it was a little crowded (2 couples had to share a room). 6 couples would be a better number. Hope to return soon!

Outstanding!
Wow! What a truly amazing place! We stayed here in July 2015 as a family reunion/wedding. We had 7 adults and 4 kids (ages 3-10) and every single one of us had an incredible time. The property has everything--trails with walled garden, horseshoes, hammock, and the piece de resistance: the swimming pond with trampoline, zip line, slide, kayak, etc. The owner, Greg, made breakfast one morning, shaved ice one day, and chicken and ribs one night. It is not a trip we will forget anytime soon--the kids are already asking when we can go back!
