Brenda's Beach House - Sandy beach, gentle sloping lake bottom.

The Upper Crooked Lake is a 735-acre all-sports lake located in the Gun Lake area near Kalamazoo's premiere Gull Lake. It is located next to the quaint tourist town of Delton in Barry County, home to some of the most beautiful lakes in Michigan. Upper Crooked enjoys the lowest boat traffic of the four largest lakes in the area and is part of a chain of lakes surrounded by the Michigan State Nature Preserve (Lux Arbor). Swans, geese, cranes and loons can be seen all summer long and the fishing is spectacular!

We had a wonderful time a Brenda’s Beach House. It had everything we needed, great fishing s’mores buy the campfire and beautiful sunsets. Our only issue where the flies inside of the house we had similar issues the last time we rented this property but thought it was a one off.

Beautiful House on the Beach

This house is huge! All the rooms were clean, spacious and several outlets for multiple devices. The outside is beautifully landscaped. The neighbors were extremely friendly. We enjoyed playing cornhole, swimming at the beach and especially fishing.

Brenda’s Crooked Lake Beach House

An amazing home that was perfect for our family. Beautiful views of sunrises and sunsets. Look across the lake in the fall for an amazing display of colors while swans swim by. Relaxing and centrally located to area attractions.

Great vacation on the lake!

This is a very nice house on the lake with all the amenities (comforts of home) for a memorable family vacation. Lots of space for family to gather. Nice sandy area and big shallow water front with sandy bottom. It was great for all kids (ages 1 - 35) and big enough for the kids to have their own space.

Great cottage!

Your cottage is a great place for family. Nice sandy beach for the little ones on a beautiful lake that wasn’t overly busy. We had fun fishing, boating, taking the girls tubing, kayaking, making s'mores by the fire and enjoying a couple of beautiful sunsets. Nice to relax and be together in such a comfortable cottage.

Great place!

My group of friends all agreed that we might come back next year. Plenty of room for 8 of us. The pontoon boat was the cherry on top, so convenient. Recommend highly!!!

Brenda’s Beach House did not disappoint!!

Our family had such a great time. We brought our boat and seadoos and played on the water, fished, had some great bonfires and played bags. Brett was super helpful with all of my questions. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need and we had a fantastic time. We will definitely be back!!

Wonderful family lake vacation.

This lake house really checked all the boxes for our family of 10: nicely remodeled home, close to the water, very well appointed home and kitchen, fire pit with plenty of wood, clean, boat at the dock, great owner, nice local stores, great fishing all week, and comfortable beds and linens. Every year is better!

This was our 8th stay and the property is amazing! The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Our group of 14 stays right on site all week and we are never bored! The owner is very responsive, the beach and lake are incredible and the house is so comfortable and the views are perfect!

Great Property!

First time on Upper Crooked Lake and we loved it. The house was exactly how it was listed and was perfect for our family. Tons of beds for everyone. The beach was great for the little kids and the patio/fire pit was great! The inside made it feel like you were at the Beach. Communication was great with the Owner. Highly recommend this place!

We are Michiganders who now hail from Austin, Texas. There's nothing better than the endless summers of Michigan, where we raised our family on the lakefront. We hope our properties will bring fond memories to all our guests, their families and friends as it has for us.

Why they chose this property

We purchased and renovated Brenda's Beach House to be a mecca for our family and friends. We designed the property to be family friendly - the way we wanted it for our family. We are honored to have many perennial guests who have been staying with us since we purchased our first vacation rental in the area, in 2003.

What makes this property unique

Enjoy the benefits of a updated home and all the normal comforts of your own home. Look out the wall of windows and feel like you're on a houseboat floating on the lake. The gentle slope of the lake bottom and sandy beach are ideal for young families and elderly alike. The lake is low traffic allowing for teaming wildlife (eagles, swans, cranes, fish, turtles, frogs and more) year round.
