Nice place to stay

Everything went very well, the lady was super nice and made fresh cookies and sandwiches when I got there. She showed me around and the fishing was good. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic fishing getaway

The property manager was very accommodating. Nice quaint room that was well stocked. We were welcomed with baked goods and chicken salad sandwiches. We enjoyed the fishing dock and the relaxing lounge chairs. Highly recommend this place for everyone.

Great place!!!

Terri and Mama June were awesome host! Terri greeted us with yummy chicken salad sandwiches and chocolate chip cookies. The apartment is very cute and clean. You can fish right off the deck on the pristine Arroyo River. Loved the owners sweet dogs Hunter and Lilly! We bought our boat and had easy access to the boat ramp and plenty of parking. We highly recommend this quiet retreat and can’t wait to return! 5 stars!

A Lil' Piece of Heaven

Place was everything as described and more. It was very clean and the host was very hospitable making you feel very welcomed! If you are looking for a place to relax and get some fishing done this is the place to be... Loved it!!!

My husband and I stayed here for our 5th year anniversary and the owner definitely made us feel like home. She welcomed us with cookies and sandwiches, she is a sweet heart! Unfortunately we only had to stay one night, but we would definitely go back someday!

Cute place, but not crazy about the dogs waking us up.

It was a cute little place to stay. It had everything we needed. It was only a 50 minute drive to South Padre. We fished from the deck and caught a flounder, sting ray, crabs, and catfish. We even saw a dolphin! The only downside was hearing the dogs run and play across the hardwood floor above us at 530 in the morning.

Perfect couple getaway!

The studio is perfect for two! Terri is truly a superhost. We arrived in the afternoon to find sandwiches and fresh fruit! What a great surprise. The studio is well appointed with a comfy bed and big fluffy towels. The kitchen includes a variety of spices, cooking spray, coffee and all the basics. It was so nice to be able to take care of laundry before we left. Relaxing on the deck with our fishing poles was just what we needed to make this a great getaway. Can’t wait to return.

Extremely Restful and Quaint

Very attentive owners offering more than your standard amenities. Nice chicken salad sandwiches, fruit, cookies, chips, crackers, coffee, tea etc. Well kept and comfortable. Fishing pier was nice, my first keeper snook, many keeper trout. Sam the dog, a playful buddy. Very quiet. Nice outdoor seating, 30 minute trip to S. Padre. Everything was fantastic. Will be returning.

Terri and June were great hosts! We had a wonderful time. The bed was so comfortable and Terri had so many extras. She was an excellent host. We fished and had a good time visiting with our neighbors on the pier. The internet was fast and the place was beautiful! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Great place to stay!

We have stayed in Arroyo City before and hated the accommodations. Terri (the owner) of this property is on the ball. She has done a great job in totally renovating the property and she goes the extra mile. Nice, clean, comfortable units. Stocked with just about every amenity you could want...and she even lays out a nice little spread of eats for you on arrival! You just can't beat it. She even provided clean fish rags for us. If you stay here, you will want to come back. 2 thumbs up.

Soleil Suite - Perfect Place and what a Bargain!!

I can't say enough about this great property and the owner. I've been to several rentals (including another one in Arroyo city that gets high reviews) that looked great in the pics but only to be disappointed to find "garage sale" furnishings, utensils, linens, etc., along with funky smells and dirty bathrooms. Not this place, it literally looks and feels brand new. Comfy beds, fluffy white towels, brand new silverware and utensils, awesome chairs on the dock, bbq pit...everything was just perfect. I also know for a fact that the owner literally sanitizes the entire bathroom... floors, walls, shower, etc. with a steam cleaner before each stay. Another thing we really appreciated, but did not expect, was all the little things that the owner thinks of to make your stay more comfortable...a shelf in the bathroom complete with mosquito spray, q-tips, lens wipes, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, etc. Outside, she offered us charcoal, starter fluid, nets, bait buckets, pretty much anything you can think of, as if you were just a guest in her own home. And finally, when we got there, there was juice, fruit, coffee, cheeses, crackers, and homemade sandwiches in the fridge!!! Really??!! Who does that? The same person that showed up the next day with a platter of homemade banana bread and a bowl of berries. And just as a disclaimer, I've never seen this place or met the owner prior to our stay 5 days ago, I was just so impressed, I want to make sure everyone knows about it. I know the cottage is not huge and doesn't sleep a lot of people but if it suites your needs, you can't beat the property or the price. And don't forget, you can also rent the adjoining suite if you need more room.

The hosts were wonderful. Amenities exceeded expectations. The suite was clean, secure, private and comfortable. Sam the dog was courteous and fun to have around. The location is close to the Park end of Marshall Hutts so it's a shorter ride to the bays. Parking available for a large truck and boat trailer. There are two suites available so there may be other guests or you can bring your friend. We will be going back...
