About this property

Air-conditioned & heated cottage in picturesque Pernes-les-Fontaines

Located in the middle of the historic and artistic village Pernes-les-Fontaines, this cottage is ideally located for both daily village life and as a central base to enjoy all the delights of Provence.

It is bright, convenient and fully self-sufficient while being intimate enough for 1 or 2 guests, and large enough to accommodate 7 guests. It is centrally heated for the cooler months, with air conditioned cooling in the lounge and both upstairs bedrooms for comfort throughout the year

The fully equipped cottage features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (including one bath and two showers) for maximum convenience, fully-stocked kitchen, large lounge/dining room and includes all linen & towels plus free Wifi.

The large main bedroom with a queen sized bed and plenty of wardrobe space is on the ground floor plus a utility room/laundry and full bathroom with bath & shower.
On the first floor is the air conditioned lounge room, dining room and kitchen plus an additional toilet.
The second floor contains the second bedroom with a double bed and single bed, and the third bedroom with double bed. The balcony, for al-fresco dining or afternoon aperitifs, is accessible from both bedrooms. The bathroom on this floor includes a shower.

Provence is probably the best known region in France outside Paris.
It boasts sunny weather, natural attractions such as Mont Ventoux, the Vaucluse and the Rhone and its produce including wine (naturally), olives, nougat and lavender.
Provence has been home to many renowned artists, and famous towns and cities including Avignon, Arles and Aix en Provence (and many not starting with 'A').

All guests receive, upon booking, a comprehensive Guest Booklet with details on the cottage and things to find, do and see in the region.

Nice location

Very nice location. Easy access to good restaurants and boulangers. Wish there are air conditioning in the whole house. Owner is very easy to communicate. Price is reasonable and we enjoyed the provence.

Short stay with Family - All Perfect

Stayed in Bruce's place for a long WE with family. - Booking and communication were all perfect. - The house correspond exactly to the announcement (very well equipped, AC in all rooms) - VERY Well placed in the historic center of the town, very quite and walking distance from all shops and restaurants. High recommend without hesitation.

A fabulous place to centre yourselves in Provence

Pernes-les-Fontaines is a wonderful medieval village, situated perfectly in the middle of Provence. We stayed at Le Galerie, a fantastic cottage situated in the middle of the old walled village. The cottage covers three floors, the first having the master bedroom with master bathroom and a fully equipped large laundry area, Go up a spiral staircase to the kitchen, dining and living room, with a powder room off the foyer. The kitchen was brilliantly equipped, there was a TV, DVD player, DVD's in French and English, books, a phone etc. On the top floor you find another Queen sized room, a single room, a living room with a fold out sofa and another bathroom. There is a delightful balcony where you can sit and watch the passing parade with your vin, your fromage and your cachuterie! The cottage was immaculately clean and tidy, with plenty of linen and towels available. The hosts had put together an amazing collection of information on what to do and where to go in the immediate and extended Provencal area. We used their guide to places 90 minutes from Pernes-les-Fontaine and managed to see so much of Provence and go to little out of the way places that we would have missed otherwise. On Saturdays there is a market at the end of the street, along the riverside. There are restaurants within very easy walking distance, galleries and of course, a lot of fountains! We can't wait to come back and see those parts of Provence that we missed this time.

pernes les fontaines ist eine wunderschöne kleine Stadt. Die Lage ist sehr gut um die Umgebung zu besichtigen. Das nette stadthaus hat alles was wir mit den Kindern bräuchten, viel Platz, drei Toiletten, Klimaanlage für die heissen Tage, Waschmaschine w-lan und Fernseher inkl. DVD Player. Parkplätze sind nah genug. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen!

House beautifully kept. House, well equipped

The house is in the truly beautiful historic village of Pernes with access to all shops, restaurants, a superb market Saturday and again a Wednesday evening market. Also a wonderful museum of past times. Freshly baked morning croissants just a few doors from the house. Also no difficulty in getting to nearby villages and Avignon. The old streets are wonderful and many hidden places like the gardens the walled village.
