We had a wonderful stay in this home. The house was immaculate and very well equipped with all that we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the deck and appreciated all the room for our class of ‘63/ 80th birthday celebrations! We highly recommend this house. Great Lake Visit

This was a great place to stay for a family weekend. It was super close to the water and paddle board rentals. The house was spacious and set up perfectly for our bigger group. We’d definitely return!

Great for a girls weekend getaway!

The house was perfect for a quick getaway from Chicago. We made all our meals in the kitchen and it was very well-equipped and stocked. There was plenty of space and room to spread out. We would definitely rent this house again, in the future!

Lake Como Family Trip

We had a great stay! Location was close to the boat launch and the beach and a big backyard and fire pit for the evening. Great beach bars and restaurants within walking distance. The property was accommodating for the adults and children. Maureen was very quick to respond to any questions. Overall a really great experience.

Girl's Weekend at the Lake!

I am so happy I booked Maureen's house for a girl's weekend getaway! We maxed out the number of guests allowed (12), and never felt cramped. Maureen is an excellent communicator (I ask a lot of questions), I wouldn't hesitate to book this place again!

Tons of space and a full kitchen!

My group loved how much space there was here! We needed many beds and a big sitting area, and we found both on Lake Como. It took us about 15 min to get to downtown Lake Geneva from this property. We did quite a bit of cooking ourselves, so we took advantage of the huge kitchen. We were so glad it had many tools to offer! The dishwasher was easy to run, and clean up was a breeze. Thanks for a great weekend getaway.

Como lake

The toiletries were not supplied. The house was 4-5 houses away from the lake, however the photograph on line made it looked like if it was right on the lake. The dishwasher needs to be repaired since it was difficult to open and close. The electric outlets were hidden behind the beds. The power strip can solve this problem. The house was in ok condition.

My family had such a wonderful experience staying here! We loved it so much that we’re already talking about planning another trip back. The home is spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable — perfect for large groups without ever feeling crowded. There are plenty of cozy common areas to relax in, and our favorite spot was definitely the expansive wrap-around deck! The location couldn’t be better, just a few steps away from PaPa’s for an easy drink or lunch. Highly recommend — 10/10 stay!

Had a Bachelorette weekend trip here and everything was perfect. The rooms were clean and spacious and had plenty of beds and extra bathroom was perfect for the 5 pregnant woman with ya. 5 min Walking distance to Lake Como and restaurant nearby. Roomy, inside and out!

This home was perfect for my faint, adult children and spouses. Great gathering place. There is enough room for more then10 if you don’t mind bunk beds. Large deck for outdoor gatherings as well! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

Clean, comfy, and great location

I just stayed at the property with four friends. We chose it cause we could each have our own bedroom, though there was room to sleep at least double that. The house was great - very clean and organized. The living room was a comfortable area for us hang out and play games and chat. There was a huge deck that we spent much of the time on because we had great weather. We also really enjoyed the fire pit at night. The location was excellent too as it was a stone’s throw from two local pubs with some really great and unexpected food options. We had an absolute blast and would definitely go back.

Great stay!

We had a group friends for the weekend and it was perfect for us! Plenty of space to hang out and play board games and bedrooms separate enough for the early birds to go to bed. Nice walk around the neighborhood on the lake front and couple restaurant/bars within walking distance. There is also Sugar Shack a 5 min drive that was an unexpected plus! ;) Would definitely recommend and stay again!

We had a large group of 10 at the house, and we had the best time! Plenty of beds for everyone, great porch and yard, and large driveway for cars. Beach was a short walk and a great way to spend the afternoon. Would definitely come back!

Big Deck Energy

We rented this place for a guys’ weekend. We like to find places close to lakes and with a lot of outdoor space to relax and hang out. We lucked out on the weather, it was perfect for being outside. The yard is big enough to spread out and play lawn games. The deck is massive and can seat a lot of people. We spent most of our time there and in the yard. The fire pit is nice. A heads up, you will need to provide your own firewood. Not a big deal, but good to know ahead of time. There were plenty of beds and rooms, lots of space to spread out which is important when you have a few snorers in your group. We didn’t spend much time inside, thanks to the weather and yard. If you have a big group and are stuck indoors, you might not find as much room to hang out as a group as you’d like. There was an extra refrigerator in the garage, which was an added bonus. We weren’t in need of anything that wasn’t already stocked in the kitchen, utensil and appliance wise. There was an electric griddle, which was great for making breakfast. The lake was just two houses away and there’s a pass for a beach that is a short walk. We spent some time there. It was a great location. There was plenty of room for parking. We had six cars. We fit all easily enough, but we really could only access two at a time (maybe that’s our fault for how we parked ourselves in). Rules and instructions were clear and easy to follow. The host was easy to message with and prompt in responding. Would book again.

A great house near a beautiful lake

With 3 and a half bathrooms and lots of beds, the house handled our large family (9 adults) very well. Maureen and Brendan were great with timely communication, answering several questions and offering good tips on local beaches, boat rentals, etc. They were very gracious when we had a hard time getting loaded up by check-out time.

Brendan and Maureen live in Chicago full-time. Brendan is a Chicago Fireman and Maureen is a Special Education Teacher in Mount Prospect. Lake Como is a very special place for the couple. In 2008, while on vacation, Brendan proposed to Maureen on the lake. A year later they bought the "Blue" house. Since then, they have had 3 children and love spending winter and summer weekends at the house.

Escape to Lake Como is a perfect getaway for a family, group of girls or golf trip. The house is large enough to fit up to twelve people. There is plenty of space for everyone in your group to feel comfortable.
