Condo has been renovated in January 2026! Pictures are updated but in real life, It's absolutely gorgeous.

Our condo has stainless appliances, Luxury Vinyl flooring and recently updated furnishings. For those who can work remotely, why not work from the beautiful Island of Maui?. Our unit has wireless internet to easily facilitate remote work situations.

The Papakea resort is located on the Kaanapali coast of Maui. It has approximately 13 acres of lush tropical gardens with foot bridges and Koi ponds, tennis courts, and a putting green. The Papakea resort has 2 pools and hot tubs. Our condo is in H building - ground floor, convenient to access.

We purchased the condo in 2014 and love the resort. We fell in love with Maui when we visited over 25 years ago, and still visit a few times each year. We named our condo "Tranquility" Maui condo as Maui is a beautiful and peaceful island. Our condo is in H building which is close to the pools and grills but far enough away not to hear the "pool noise" We are a ground floor unit which is VERY convenient! No climbing stairs or waiting for an elevator.....just walk out your front door or lanai!!

Since we want you to enjoy Maui and our condo as much as we do when we visit, our condo has:

- Stainless appliances
- Walk in bathroom showers in main bath and master bath.
- Tri-zone (central) Air conditioning system . AC in Both Bedrooms and Kitchen/living area. (no window air conditioner in our unit!)
- Double pane bedroom windows installed in both bedrooms for great sleeping!! No old/outdated jalousie windows in the bedrooms like other units have!!
- Digital safe
- Pillow Top King Mattress in Owner Bedroom
- Two queen mattresses in the guest bedroom.
- Beach umbrella, Beach chairs, cooler to use at any of the beaches in Maui
- Golf putters to use at the putting green at the Papakea

Our condo has 2 bedrooms. The owner bedroom has a king size bed and a flat screen television on the wall. There is a sitting area with a desk. Our second bedroom has two queen size beds and a flat screen television. Both Bedrooms are air conditioned. Some units have living room window AC only. Our condo has air in both bedrooms and living/kitchen area.

The Kitchen comes fully equipped for 4-6 people for those of you who like to cook. If grilling is your preference, there are barbeque grills poolside on the property that you can use. Very convenient to access from your ground floor unit without having to climb stairs!

Enjoy your coffee with our Keurig coffee machine on the ground floor lanai that overlooks one of the two Koi ponds on the property. For those of you who like to eat out, there are many great restaurants within a few miles of the property. Additionally there is an ABC convenience store right in front of the property.

We personally love visiting many of the beaches on Maui. Our unit has lounge chairs, a cooler, and an umbrella for you to use at any of the beautiful beaches on Maui.

We loved our stay at Papakea. Jean was prompt with responses to our questions and even checked in to see how the condo was after we arrived. The condo was clean and nicely furnished. The ground level condo was perfect for all the back and forth we did to the pool, shuffleboard, putting green, grill, walks, outings, and sunsets. We appreciated the included amenities, especially the beach chairs, boogie boards, and cooler bags. The resort was very relaxing and quiet. A beach area would've been nice, but we were able to go to beautiful beaches within five miles of the resort. It's also an easy walk to the grocery store, ABC store, food trucks, and other shops from the resort. We will be back again!

This ground floor unit was easy access to the office check-in, parking (free), pool, hot tub and beach.It’s clean, bright and modern with comfortable living and dining rooms. The open kitchen has modern appliances and dishes, etc. It has a drip coffee maker. You’ll need to go to the store for basics like filters, coffee, condiments, etc. It has a washing machine and dryer. Beds were so comfortable. Shower was great! Plenty of towels and closet space. Additional closets are filled with beach accessories (beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, cooler, boogie board, etc …)Patio has nice padded chairs and table. View is the beautiful garden with koi ponds, trees, and over a little bridge is the pool, spa, bbq grills, tables, lounge chairs and beach. Pool and spa were good temperatures. Everyone is friendly. They have games to play and fun activities (we did the Lei making). The beach stretches for miles in front of other resorts. We saw turtles, whales, and a black seal! It’s close to different restaurants and shopping malls (driving) and a strip mall across the street. And a grocery store is close by. The unit has mini splits for A/C with a 6-hour timer you have to reset. I had to call their local contact once for help getting to Papakea during a storm with road closures. He was amazing! He picked up immediately at 1:30 am. He was friendly, concerned, helpful and even made some calls to make sure we were clear to head out. And he texted later to make sure we made it.

Spacious Oceanside condo

This condo was great for our family of four. Lots of space to spread out and main floor made getting in and out of the condo a breeze. Great beaches only a few minutes drive. Fantastic whale watching from the shoreline. Kids loved the pool and putting green.

Great place on a great resort

Everything was great with our stay, from the location (close walk to stores, food and grocery), the resort property (with nice koi ponds, pools and BBQs) that was quiet and chill, the condo was clean and had nice additions like on-site laundry and lots of beach accessories for us to use. The beach in front of the resort was decent, but we found it better to drive 10 minutes north to a great public beach that had crystal-clear water, white beaches and turtles swimming in the water. It was an amazing trip and we want to go back and stay here again in the near future!

We stayed here for 2 weeks. We enjoyed our stay at your resort. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The grounds are perfect and the pool area was really nice. We spent a lot of time around the pool and whale watching. Our condo was on ground level which made it easy access to the barbeques. The condo was well stocked with dishes, etc.

Aloha Sharon, Wow I have to say I'm really surprised at that comment. We have one of the best cleaning services on island. Local in Lahaina and they are phenomenal cleaners. We also pay for our guests to have an on island contact so that if there are any issues whatsoever you can reach out to them to resolve. I understand you did not reach out to them the 3 weeks you were in the unit for this issue. As I want to ensure the unit is in excellent condition and our guests are fully happy, we reached out to the guests who checked in the day you checked out to ensure there are no issues. The good news is that they are not aware of any dank smell as you noted and they are very happy with the condo. Not sure what happened but the good news is that there seems to be no issue. 1st off, the pictures are very accurate and this place comes fully stocked! Beach chairs, lots of towels, pool noodles. This place is very much family centric and towards older adults. Very calm and safe setting. 10 minutes away from great beaches. 15 minutes from Lahaina. Lots of close by restaurants, food trucks and markets.

Family vacation

We really enjoyed our time at this condo. The location was excellent and centrally located. The grounds of the property were really nice. Overall the condo was great and had all the things you could hope for. Having laundry was a huge plus so really liked that. I will say that while the place was surface clean, it could really use a deep clean which is my only complaint. My husband and kids equally enjoyed the place and having the ground floor unit was really great with kids.

Wonderful condo

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay at this papakea condo. The condo was clean and well stocked. We did use some of the snorkel gear but rented a few pieces from Snorkle Bob’s across the street. We loved how walkable the area is. Walked to airport beach, food trucks, morning coffee/cinnamon rolls and fantastic Venezuelan food (Ms Arpeta’s). Such an easy vacation- definitely hope to return. Played pickle ball and shuffle board almost daily. Highly recommend

We live on the East Coast and try to visit Maui as often as we can. We first visited Maui over 25 years ago and fell in love with it and wanted to purchase a property to call our own on this beautiful island. There are so many activities. We enjoy visiting the beautiful beaches and watching the gorgeous sunsets. The outdoor activities are fantastic including zip lining ( picture is of us at Piholo ranch zip line), surfing, snorkeling, and scenic drives. There is something for everyone to do.

Why they chose this property

We chose the Papakea because it is an ocean front property in the Kaanapali area, and we consider it one of the most beautiful places in the world. Because the Papakea is on almost 13 acres, there is never a feeling of being crowded. It has many amenities, including shuffleboard, two pools, two hot tubs, tennis courts and a putting green. It's a quiet relaxing place to unwind.

What makes this property unique

Since it's an ocean front property we enjoy our evening walks to the ocean to watch the beautiful sunsets. Nothing beats a Maui Sunset !!
