All was good, except they need darkening blinds for bedroom as the the Versace Hotel next door has lights on all their trees and shines in like its daylight outside. Difficult to fall asleep. Great location in middle of all the action.

Warm weather get away

The property was as advertised, Mr.Lee and his assistant where very helpful and they allowed us to check in early! The property was clean great location and right across the street from the beach was a big plus definitely will be staying there again very soon?

Great Location in Art Deco/Club District

This is one of two properties owned by the host. We initially chose the one above a night club, but the host recommended that we consider the one just to the north on Ocean Dr. We are glad we switched. The suggested unit was next to the night club, but not above it. We did not hear the club from the new location. In earlier posts, there were comments about the elevator not working, This problem was due to a delay in getting the part. This was fixed a few days after our arrival. There also were complaints about the odor of garbage. The stairway was just repainted and clean. (Note that the access to the unit is in a passageway between buildings). The building backs up to an alley where dumpsters are located. There was an aroma of dumpsters in the passageway, but this is not related to anything the owner or front desk can control. We found the unit "broom clean" and cooled. A couple of days into our stay, the building a/c went out. This was reported to the front desk and the owner. Both front desk and owner responded quickly, and it was fixed the same day. The rental unit worked well for us for a week-long stay. If you've never been to South Beach, you need to know that parking is a challenge. We found a garage close to the unit that had in/out privileges for $40/day. That is not bad for the convenience. Also, the clubs let out at 3 am and street noises increase when clubs let out. We give the host 5 stars and the accommodations 4 star (just because we had a 12 year old).

The location was perfect right in the center of all the local action and within 3 minutes of the beach ….the rooftop pool was amazing along with the views….be prepared to pay for parking other then that the property was awesome

Unpleasantly surprised

The location was great. Right across from the beach. had to pay over 200 just for parking at this place (should have been stated in the listing) the A/C didn’t work, be prepared to sweat (was 85) day and night in there. Whole place smells like smoke, not very pleasant. Elevator wasn’t working so we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs with everything. Cannot bring service dogs to the pool even though it states service dog friendly. Should also stated that there’s loud music going until 1AM every night

Located in the heart of South Beach

The entrance isn’t fancy, but the room was quite comfortable and had a nice supply of kitchen ware for cooking. We were pleased with the set up.Parking is a problem. Valet parking cost about 50 a night with tips included. Self parking ramps are available nearby for half the price, but we didn’t try those. Our parking bill for a week here cost as much as a rental car. A rooftop pool and bar offer spectacular views of Miami Beach.

Misleading Amenities

I would love to provide a positive review for this property. It has some great features and the owner is responsive and informative. However, the property details state that there is onsite parking. One of the key reasons we booked this site is because it had onsite parking and my wife had just broken her tow a week prior. This property does not have onsite parking. They have valet parking that cost extra. The experience we had was that at check in the front desk staff stated that we should walk down to a different hotel and use their valet parking because it would be cheaper than the valet parking for the property that we were staying at. This resulted in having to wait 30 to 40 mins every time we needed the car. The next issue is that the property details states that there is a heated pool. Which it is true that the property has a heated pool but it is not true that it is in the same building that each room is located in. We were in building C and the pool is on the roof of building D. Access to the roof pool was done by walking the 6 or 7 flights of stairs of a separate building to get to it. This feels like it is technically true that the property has a heated pool but does not meet a standard expectation that the pool is available to each tenant. Couple this with the fact that there was pool party happening in the pool that anyone from the streets could attend. The balcony was 1 ft wide and did not have chairs as advertised. Lastly there was mold in the bathroom.

Premium Location

So first time we been to Miami , we wanted somewhere very close to the beach and shops etc so we didn't need a car . This property ticks those boxes . You can just see the beach out the window and its a 2 min walk across the road so that was great for us . Its probably in one of the busiest parts in South Beach next to a club called The Palace - look it up , may or may not be your thing - its a very loud trannys bar thats very popular from 10 in the morn to late at night ! Not really for young families !! At night once windows are shut as this is on the side of the building you dont really hear much except the odd car revving up as they cruised past . The apartment itself could do with a little updating , funny smell when you first walk in , not sure what that was . Bed was great , big and comfy but in the kitchen only a little portable oven , could do with a full size one - there is space for it and maybe a washing machine too . In the bathroom , bath looks great but has no taps so can only fill by leaving shower running , and extractor fan didn't seem to work . Could do with a clothes dryer as no where to hang towels. There is a rooftop pool you can access on next building but every-time we went up there , there were loud bi-sexual parties which wasn't our thing so we never actually used the pool ! Overall if you want to be close to the beach and shops then this property is great for that , and the host Lee was helpful and quick with communications.

Strand Condo - Ocean Dr

This condo was super clean, safe and literally steps away from EVERYTHING South Beach. The manager of the condo is very communicative and available when needed. I gave 5 stars bc was much deserved. We had an amazing time and will hopefully return in the future. Again, if you want to be in the middle of all the action, then this condo is the way to go.

Spring Break for Seniors

We wanted a place in South Beach where we would not need a car. We are young seniors in good shape so we wanted to walk and ride bikes. Lee’s place was perfect. Nice condo on ocean ave. We walked or biked every morning, had good to great meals and so much fun. The beach is across the street. There were lots of kids and a big police presence over the weekend. No trouble at all. We were disappointed that the pool was on The roof of a building next door but it turned out fine. I think we will go back.

Visiting Son in Miami Beach

Our stay was very pleasant. The apartment was clean and roomy. We had a view of the ocean and it was very conveniently located right across from the beach. My only hesitation is that the neighborhood along the beach is fairly noisy and we occasionally had nighttime noise. But overall we enjoyed staying there very much.
