In the evening sip a cold beverage on the large back porch while enjoying Lassen National Forest and the wildlife that abounds there.

Love the cozy cabin. This is our second time staying here. We enjoyed the walks in the woods , swimming & fishing in the lake and stargazing at night . Lots of family fun.
We come to the lake every year, and this cabin never disappoints! It is very family friendly, clean, quiet, walking distance to the lake, and affordable! Claire and Rick are great hosts and we will continue to book here for our yearly visits!

We had a great stay at this cabin. It was the perfect size for us, family of 4. The location was ideal- woods in the back and a short walk to the lake. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking needs. We hope to return and would love to rent this place again!

The only thing that could have made this gem more perfect, is if it were lake front BUT the lake is literally a 5min walk away..The Cabin is much newer construction, perfectly appointed and decorations/materials/appliances all of higher quality…GREAT Experience

Bret,
Aww lake front but you wouldn’t have the forest right off the deck and see all the wildlife walking by. 😊
Thank you for your wonderful review. We are so glad to know you enjoyed our place. Hope to hear from you again.

Happy to hear you had a great time. Glad you found the bike trail. Hope to hear from you again.
The cabin looked even better in person than the pics online. Very clean and cute. It is located in a neighborhood so there is houses on each side but the neighbors were very friendly. Great getaway!

Happy to hear you enjoyed yourselves. We try hard to give our guests a clean comfortable place to relax and have fun.
Our family really enjoyed our stay. This cabin was the perfect size for our group of 3 adults and 2 kids. It has national forest land behind it, and we loved hanging out on the back porch and in the back yard. It has a great location near a swim beach (low water level but that's true across CA) and in a quiet neighborhood. Also, the cabin was super clean, the owner left lots of helpful info and basic necessities were provided. Thanks for sharing this lovey home!

So happy to hear you had an enjoyable stay. The National forest right out our back door makes our back porch our favorite place to hangout.
This was a great property. A good place to stay with easy access all around Lake Almanor. The home stays cool even when the temps reach the high 80's. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions and the condition of the home was excellent!

David,
Glad that our cabin worked out for you. Yes, if you leave the windows open at night and shut everything down in the early morning the cabin stays extremely cool. No need for a/c.
Hope the veterans fishing event was a huge success!
See you next year.

Excellent family getaway!
Excellent location for both lake and Lassen Volcanic National Park activities. The home was very cozy with everything that a person could ask for. My family was very relaxed after a long day of hiking at Lassen. The cabin is a short few minutes drive from any needs in town that you may require, or a short walk to the cafe, I recommend a slice of pie. The cabin was large enough for most needs yet cozy enough to feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this lovely home to any traveler who wants a clean, cozy and comfortable home.

Why they chose this property
This property is near and dear to our hearts. Lake Almanor has been a mainstay in my family for 40+ years. When my husband and I had the chance to purchase a lot in the historic development of Prattville we were ecstatic. In 2003 we purchased the lot and a year later my husband built us our "little cabin in the woods". We have made many memories with family and friends over the years here and are looking to make many more in years to come. Our wish is for others to have the same opportunity by staying here. Enjoy!
What makes this property unique
Large off street parking. Our cabin backs up to forest thus offering a great view of nature and provides some privacy.
