Beautifully landscaped & tranquil atmosphere located in a gated community 3 miles from downtown Cabo San Lucas on the Sea Cortez side. Private beach within walking distance; excellent for snorkeling and safe for swimming. Complex has 2 heated pools. 1 pool is an Adult only pool with a BBQ, sink and outdoor seating area under a palapa and the 2nd pool is the Family pool. This pool has two section; a 1 foot area and a 3 foot area, BBQ, sink, sitting area and restroom. The whirlpool is also located at this pool.

Great condo and location !

This was the second time we've stayed at Plaza Calafia. The grounds and pools are well kept. The condo is clean and comfortable. The value is good for the dollar spent. Hope to return to enjoy it again soon...

The condo is very convenient with everything we needed. Good beds, clean, nice view, toys and tools, drinking water tap, etc. The neighborhood is also very nice, quiet, and very well maintained. The owners were very friendly (by e-mail) and easy to contact. People in the condos around us were also very friendly. We enjoyed our stay!

Cute Condo in Cabo Bello!

This was such a complete condo...stocked kitchen, plenty of space for a family of 5, gorgeous view of the ocean, just a short walk to an awesome uncrowded beach! What more could you ask for?! We loved staying here. It was just perfect for our family! We got most of our groceries at Costco and Walmart and cooked nearly every meal! Day trips up both coasts. Would highly recommend Art and Renee's condo...they were great to work with and quick to respond. Thanks for the wonderful accommodations, we hope to come again!!

Peaceful Oasis

We rented a car and had a blast touring the whole Los Cabos area. And how nice that they have built a new Fresko grocery store directly across the highway. Makes it so easy to locate from either direction between KMs 6 and 7, watching for the turn off to "Fresko". Note: the laundry is no longer located in the condo, but in a building very close by; and the tennis court has been turned into a parking lot. The private beach has some fun snorkeling and wasn't overrun with people. Thanks, Renee, for an awesome stay.

Family Christmas in Cabo

Thank you Renee for taking care of any issues that came up. We had a good stay despite our unforeseen issues. We really enjoyed having a nice view and being so close to the beach. What I appreciate most is your attention to the water heater issue and communicating with me on every detail. One recommendation I would suggest is to make the stay there even more pleasant would be to upgrade the bed in the master bed room. Sleeping on the one in there was rough but we made the best of it. :) Delila

We stayed in Renee and Art's condo from Feb. 1st to Feb 11th, 2017. It was very comfortable, with 2 large bedrooms. It was a 5 - 10 minute walk to the beach and there were 2 pools right at the location- the one pool was quite cold but nice to jump into on the really hot days! TV's were older but carried a few good channels, all in English, which was nice. A/C worked great! There was an apartment size washer & dryer we used a few times. Renee came and introduced herself and we really liked her! Very knowledgeable of the area so great tips on where to go for dinners etc. Dish soap, laundry soap, towels, games, beach chairs, and lots of other stuff there to make our stay comfortable! Close to Walmart and Costco. I felt we got the value for our money and would go back again! Thanks Renee and Art!

All the comforts of home

How nice it was to be on vacation and still have all the comforts of home. The host has even thought to provide reusable shopping bags. The condo is perfect for two couples as both bedrooms have their own TV’s and private bathrooms. Until this rental we have not seen such a generously stocked vacation rental. Stocked with plenty of essentials like; toilet paper, paper towel, cleaning supplies, and so on. As well as quality linens, like thick plush towels. The kitchen has lots of stylish dishes and glassware, as well as quality pots and pans. We enjoyed eating and drinking on the balcony, the view is very tranquil. The grounds around this complex are impeccably maintained, which begged for daily walks. The private beach was nice and didn’t take long to walk to. For those with mobility issues you could drive and park a car closer to the beach. We truly enjoyed ourselves in comfort!

SWEET!

There was a little hic-up at first in obtaining an entrance key but after about an hour or so it was resolved and soon forgotten. The Condo was clean and quiet which are the major prerequisites for us. The window blinds need some attention as they were difficult to operate and some of the shades wouldn't stay in place but this wasn't a bother for us. So those are the cons... The pros are in everything else. The first morning of our stay I walked into town about two miles or so away. Never had any safety concerns and felt much safer than when I've spent time in large US cities. A rental car is a plus but not totally necessary. We obtained a rental to assist in our transportation desires. The location of the condo away from town is beneficial as it keeps the atmosphere more casual and relaxed. There are restaurants close by that one can take a stroll to get to. Not having an internet in the condo wasn't as much of a hassle as I thought it would be as just outside around the corner about a 20 second walk away is the pool with a covered area and an internet hot spot. It's kind of a social local as well and I enjoyed doing my office chores out there. The beach is a five minute walk down the hill via a short path and although not really difficult it wouldn't be for anyone with ambulation issues. The beach itself was very nice for our interests (snorkeling) and would have liked to have dived there as well but couldn't find a scuba shop that would rent tanks (we had all our own dive gear). The condo is stocked with beach chairs, beach umbrellas and other beach accessories which came in handy. Lastly the owners are very obliging to work with and you can't argue with the overall value. It is our intent to make a return visit in the near future.... Kg

Very lovely fresh flowers on entering. And appreciated the ice in the freezer. Enjoyed watching the whales from the balcony. Felt very safe. Make sure you check the gate code at the back... my husband had to jump over to get us in ... yes ..over the spikes. They change the code regularly Would stay again

We had a great time at the villa! Very quiet and comfortable. The pools were clean and lovely, and we enjoyed relaxing there. The villa had everything you would need. I was very happy that there was a water cooler. The condo even has 3 tvs with American channels. The white bus to town cost 12.50 pesos, and it came about every 5 minutes. We took it often. You just need to walk to the front of the complex, which was about a hilly 10-minute walk, which I preferred to do that than rent a car. The only con that I can think of is that the pillows need to be replaced. Other than that, I would definitely come again!

Great Stay

We stayed at Cabo Bello Plaza Calafia December 17-24, 2017. I traveled with my two young adult daughters and had a fabulous time. The condo was as pictured and met all our needs. It was a great value! The private beach was a short 5-10 minute walk and the snorkeling was so much fun. We spent 3 days of our trip on the private beach and enjoyed relaxing in the sun and snorkeling. We spent 2 days at Medano Beach. Medano Beach was a 10 minute bus ride for 12 pesos each way. We used only pesos and didn’t see anyone paying in US dollars. We got on the bus right out front of the condo complex by Home Depot and the bus drops you off at the front gate (look for small white bus, do not have to say anything about where you are going, the bus will take to towards Cabo and you can simply stand up when you are ready to hop off). Medano Beach was a nice alternate to the private beach as offered all that you would expect (boat taxis, jet skiing, local beach peddlers, restaurants, massages (yes, $20 US for 75 minutes!). We felt completely safe in downtown Cabo/marina area. The condo provided snorkeling equipment, beach chairs and towels. We used Super Shuttle to and from airport. They were on time, clean and professional. The Plaza Calafia manger speaks English and Spanish which was really helpful as they made my confirmation call to the Shuttle service. They took all the stress out of the call as we don’t speak Spanish. Lastly, Renee and Art were extremely helpful before, during, and after our stay. (While, I wouldn’t recommend it, we are proof that you can get back to the States after you’ve forgotten your passport at the Condo!) And, that there are nice people who will return it when found! But, that’s a whole other story. I have no hesitation recommending this condo.

Great place to stay! Bright, Fresh and Clean!

SUN, FUN AND GREAT MEMORIES AT PLAZA CALAFIA We really enjoyed our stay in Cabo. The Cabo Bello complex was easily accessible from the airport or downtown. The busing system stops right outside the complex and is a very good (inexpensive) mode of transportation. Our stay was at the Plaza Calafia condos within Cabo Bello. The unit #184 on the second floor was private, fresh, neat and clean. The colors were bright and cheerful while the rooms were large, airy and comfortable. This unit had two baths. One in each bedroom. There are plenty of towels, sheets and blankets. The kitchen had all the usual and necessary utensils, dishes, and other items to make and serve any meal. The grilling area is by the adult pool and easily accessible. Both pools were well maintained and quite refreshing. The adult pool has excellent WiFi reception. The office for Plaza Calafia is by the adult pool and they are very informative and helpful. There is a semi private beach where you can sun, swim and snorkel. Our unit had a balcony with a beautiful ocean view and flowering trees. Stocked with beach chairs and umbrella, snorkel gear and other beach toys. All you need to bring is your tooh brush! Well, maybe some shorts, tops and sandals. LOL! This place is extremely peaceful and quiet at night. Quite refreshing! While we mostly ate breakfast in the condo we did visit quite a few restaurants. Villa Serena was a very nice restaurant overlooking the ocean on the property next to Cabo Bello. On the other side of Cabo Bello is Puerta Vieja with a sunset view that is a sight to see. In downtown Cabo we frequented the Italian job and the Italian restaurant. They were equally good but different. We would definitely go back to them all . Our adventures in Cabo included four excursions. All exceeded our expectations. Whale watching while zipping around on a zodiac boat was so exciting, while swimming with the dolphins was so much fun too. But for sure the highlight of our excursions was going to La Paz and swim beside the whale shark, quite an experience. A bucket list check mark! All in all our two week stay was just about perfect. We will be coming back for sure and would highly recommend Plaza Calafia to anyone looking for a great private and quiet place to stay in Cabo.

Fabulous condo in beautiful setting

We'd originally planned to stay right in Cabo San Lucas but decided Cabo Bello looked gorgeous and I'm so glad we stayed here instead. The gated community felt very safe. The beach was just a short walk and a gorgeous spot with great swimming. We also loved the snorkeling down at Chileno Beach, a 10 min drive away. The condo was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked, the tilework was exquisite. We had absolutely everything we needed. Renee was quick to respond by email & phone when a few questions came up during our stay. Wish there had been wifi in the unit but the signal down at the pool was very strong. Spent a couple days in Cabo and we were so glad to have this beautiful, clean, safe, quiet spot to return to at the end of the day! We'll come back again in a heartbeat if we have the chance!

We loved staying here!

The condo is exactly as advertised and we enjoyed our stay there. The kitchen had everything you need to cook complete meals and having a washer and dryer was a added bonus. We walked down to the beach a couple times and it was beautiful! We rented a car at the airport and parking in your own designated spot was very convenient. We would drive to Cabo daily to enjoy mango beach!!! We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location

We had an absolutely amazing stay. The unit was in a beautiful quiet community only a short drive to all amenities. The condo was stocked with absolutely everything you could need. The beach was just a short walk, so private and quiet. Our kids loved searching for shells and sea glass. We would stay again. Thank you very much for an amazing family vacation.

A short walk to a beach that is shared by only the condos in the complex and the resort next door... the beach always had plenty of room. Walk into the water just knee deep and submerge your face and your see a billion colourful fish!! Great snorkelling. Good swimming if you feel like getting some exercise, too. Across the street from the condo complex entrance is a small hill/mountain with a radio tower, with trails leading up. We ran these trails every single day of our stay, and were always passing locals hiking and walking the trails for the incredible view! A convenience store close, a Costco 2km away, and the city buses take you anywhere and they are awesome!! Inexpensive and will pick you up wherever you are! The condo itself was clean, there was water, all the dishes one needs, a "drink some, leave some" style collection of beverages to drink too! We ate on the patio. We made all our meals in the condo... There is wifi at the upper pool. The pools are more for lounging than for swimming, unless you are a kid. If i return to the baja, I would come back. We went into Cabo San Lucas (3km away) and left quickly... it is a city like any other city in the world... centered around bustle and shopping and concrete. We went back to the sanctuary of our condo and beach and relished the peace and nature.

Great, comfortable condo with wonderful view of the Mar de Cortez. Has everything you need and it is walking distance from a privet beach. Only disadvantage is that doesn't have internet but the complex tat is located in has at the main swimming pool. Renee is very easy going and very helpful.

My girlfriend and I spent four nights over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The condo was nice and clean with everything we could need. The location is pleasant if you want quiet, and there is a nice beach a short walk down the hill. Best of all the price was perfect!

We are Art & Renee Shattuck and we are the owners of CaboMom Plaza Calafia Condominium. We first visited Cabo San Lucas in February of 2004, looking for a warm place to spend our winters after retirement. We looked at several places but fell in love with the first place we visited in Plaza Calafia. From 10 years we would spend 2 weeks in October, 2 weeks in January and about 10 days in June at the Condo. Our 2 boys absolutely loved Cabo! We have since bought a single family home in Cabo Bello where we spend about 5 months a year. We hope you enjoy our condo as much as we did. Hasta Luego!

Why they chose this property

Plaza Calafia is located in the Cabo Bello development, a gated community with 24 hour security. The community is made up of mostly retired couples and local working couples. The community is very quiet and friendly; however, is only about 3 miles from downtown Cabo.

What makes this property unique

Along with the 24 hour security, you also have an assigned parking space just 50 feet from the condo. There is also a private beach; just a 5 minute walk away. Taxis will also pick you up and drop you off within in 50 feet of your front door. You can also take about a 10 minute walk up to the front gate where you can catch a bus into town for only $1.00 USD.
