Serenity Now...


Nestled on the beautiful Point Vivian Cove, this newly purchased home offers a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence sunsets. This home has been renovated and includes an updated kitchen with granite, harwood/tile floors throughout, a dining room and a spectacular great room with open views to the channel- the screened in porch makes ship watching a delight. The first floor also has a laundry room and full bath connected to a bedroom with a full/queen bed. The four remaining bedrooms are on the second floor- the master has a king size bed and TV with cable, along with great main channel views and cool crosswinds at night.
Two other rooms boast a main channel view as well- one has a king size bed and the other a full/queen. Let the kids have a blast in the last room that has bunk beds as well as another elevated twin- TV and cable are provide as well, so parents can enjoy a little down time. There is also a full bath on the second floor. The whole house has high speed wireless internet. Our dock can accomadate boats.

Serenity...

We appreciate our stay here greatly as this is a special place for our family. The cottage is perfect for a family vacation. It is well appointed, comfortable and perfectly situated to enjoy the river with its sittable dock and gorgeous porch! We would love to stay again.

Serenity Now

We loved the location. Beds were comfy. The living space was excellent for 5 adults. Our only issue was no instructions for TV and we never could access wifi.

HI Marilyn- Sorry you had internet issues- you just need to put in the password- it is hard to leave instructions for the TV since always on a different setting after each renter- next year we are getting a new one and will look for an easy to operate one- glad you had a nice time.

70 + years ladies trip

This property is absolutely stunning!! Beautiful home right on the St. Lawrence River. Very clean, spacious and roomy with everything you might need and then some! Would definitely recommend and would stay again if ever in the area. The owner was extremely nice to deal with and was available for anything we needed. Had a wonderful time.

Girls trip

Another relaxing stay in this beautiful home on the St. Lawrence river. Watching the ships go by was just wonderful! Fayanne the owner was very accommodating . The house had everything we needed and more, and was very clean. We are 6 old friends in our 70s and 80s who take a trip every year . This is the 2nd time we stayed in this beautiful home.

Well another vacation has come and gone at Serenity at the river. If only there were some way to suspend time when you are at a place such as this or at least slow it down some. The Hoonings have done everything to make a family vacation just what a VACATION means. They supply all the emenities you need for your stay from bed sheets to paper products. They have also supplied us with one of the most beautiful views on the river.

Short week

The stay at Serenity Now went by fast. The cottage was great, screened in porch overlooking the River fantastic, and the dock/shore patio was treat too. Our 8 year old grand daughter caught a 15" and 16" bass off tthe patio. Our grandson caught a 18" bass off the patio, and our daugther caight a 22" bass off the patio. Fantastic fishing. All in all a great time PLUS the weather co operated.

On Golden River

My family thoroughly enjoyed our week in 1,000 Islands. The home was spacious, very well maintained, immaculate and charming. With stunning views of the sunset on the St. Lawrence River, it conjured images of On Golden Pond. As an active family with teen age boys we loved the hiking, biking, fishing and exploring. The NY State parks are great resources in the area and we recommend Wellesley Island State Park. We rented a pontoon boat to experience the river and tour the local attractions like Boldt Castle. Serenity Now is a gem that's enhanced by the wonderful interactions with Fayanne who was always warm, helpful and professional!

Perfect Spot in the Thousand Islands!

As a first time visitor to the Thousand Islands, I really lucked out finding this gem of a house! It is pristine clean and beautiful. The house has so much space and is very comfortable. Everything you need is there...towels, bedding, kitchen and cooking tools plus a washer and drier. They even have puzzles, books and games to use! We loved the view off the back deck and the screened in porch. This house is a great place to stay and close to Clayton and all the attractions. I only wished we had more time there. Will definitely be back. The home owners are super responsive and so accommodating. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. WE LOVED IT!

Pictures do not do this property justice...

As soon as we walked into the house we were very impressed. Its a beautiful property with great views, great rooms with nice breezes even in late July. The waterfront area was awesome. Good fishing right from the dock. The screened in porch was a great area for at night when the mosquitoes came out. Watching the big ships became a ritual as well. Alex bay was only a few miles away. Definitely catch a tour boat or rent a boat to enjoy the water. We came up on motorcycles (one of the wives drove a truck with some kayaks) and we only rode two of the seven days we were there. Enjoying the water took precedence for sure. What a great part of our country this is. I highly recommend this house!!

Beautiful Home on an incredible spot on the river

I have vacationed in the 1000 Island area on and off since 1983. This year I had a larger than normal group coming up with me so we decided to upgrade our accommodations. I think I was at the Serenity Now house for 1 hour before I texted the owner and told her that I would take the same week next year. Highlights of the house are the huge living room, and the fantastic screened in porch where you can easily watch the river or the kids swimming off the dock. The neighborhood itself is straight out of the 1800's. Small winding roads and old, well cared for vacation homes. All neighbors we met were very friendly and welcoming. We rented a pontoon boat that we easily tied up to the large dock area. The dock is great for sitting and enjoying the sunset and we were constantly fishing off of it. The owner checked in from time to time just to make sure everything was going fine, she really cares and wants you to enjoy her lovely home. The 1000 Islands is a boaters paradise and we went on long cruises everyday. We had a group of 8 and we fit in the large house with plenty of room to spare. I am counting the days when my family and I return in the summer of 2018.

Relaxation on the River

This is our 3rd year staying in this beautiful home for our 1,000 Islands stay and we couldn't be happier. Every year when we open the door, we sigh "ahhh- we're home". This house makes you FEEL like it is your own. It's not stuffy, it's cheerful, and it comes with all the comforts you could want....from towels and bedding, down to measuring spoons and beach towels. You don't have to worry about a thing. I love how close it is to A-Bay (within 10 mins) and Clayton (within 30 mins) - so restaurants, activities and tours are just a short drive, or boat ride away. This year we had an equal share of sunny days mixed with cloudy rainy days, which allowed us to go enjoy the river on a pontoon boat (rented from Aqua Mainia and docked right at the house) a few days and the rest of the time, enjoy the benefits of house. Things like the beautiful screened in porch, dock for fishing, 6 person dining table for family meals and games & huge living room for enjoying one another's company. We have already planned our stay for next year- and hope to keep this tradition up for as long as Fayanne will have us! :) Stay here- you won't be disappointed! Sarah F & friends, Lancaster NY

Good Times on the River

Once again I can say we had a wonderful experience at Serenity Now in Alex Bay. The house was immaculate when we arrived(and when we left). The River was busy with ships coming and going. We loved having a warm fire in the beautiful fireplace. Even though it was late in the season, there was still plenty to do in the area. We are already booking this property for next September.

First 1000 Islands Experience

Great location between Clayton and Alexandria Bay. Beautiful view and perfect for watching the freighters come through the channel. We had 8 adults in our party and there was plenty of room for all. Kitchen well stocked, nice grill right off the kitchen. Plenty of parking. Just a great experience. Our only problem was with mother nature.

Perfect Getaway

We had the most AMAZING week at Serenity Now. The house has the perfect amount of historical charm so you can feel another era, paired with modern amenities and comforts. The location is in easy reach of everything we wanted to see and do. The screened porch and views of the river are the best we've had in our 4 years of vacationing here. I don't think there is anything better. Fayanne is extremely hospitable and generous. Thank you for opening your lovely home to us. We cannot wait to come back again!

Family Vacation

What a wonderful place to visit! Great views in a peaceful setting The house is spacious, well furnished and the view of the river from the screened in porch is spectacular. Kids and adults alike spent a lot of time on the dock - fishing and swimming! It was fun checking out improvements made to the property by our thoughtful host, to further enhance our visit. This is the third time we have stayed and can't wait to return...I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to spend quality time on the river.

Relax on the River at Serenity Now

Serenity Now is a beautiful property directly on the River front. Very clean house, quiet neighborhood, and lots to do in the area. I highly recommend this property for your next vacation.
