A very pleasant place to stay

The house and yard are comfortable and pleasant. We enjoyed the large deck and it was wonderful to have the beautiful beach within walking distance.

Our family of 3 generations stayed at The Cove for 5 nights in Aug 2025. It was everything we needed, sleeping for 10 a long table for meals and a nice deck off the family room. The beach was a 3 block walk and the wagon helped bring little ones and accessories back and forth. We had a camp fire in the fire pit and the kids played on the play set. We made a trip to the strip in Grand Bend, played golf at Sand Hills and enjoyed pizza from Grogs. Thanks to Ross and Sandy we enjoyed our stay at your cottage!

Great location and cottage

Our family had a great time at this cottage. The cottage is very clean and had lots of things to keep the kids occupied. Our kids loved the Lego, board games, and playground set in the backyard. Ross was very responsive and kept in close contact with us. It was important to Ross that we had a great time. It’s a short walk to a family friendly beach with plenty of space for everyone. The neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful.

Dan and family were great guests. We love it when three generations can be together getting time together. They took good care of the cottage and were super accommodating with an appliance repair that we had to schedule in.

Family Beach Holiday

Our whole family Mom, Dad, three adult children and partners plus three grandchildren gathered at the Cove for a week. The weather was perfect for spending time at the beach which was about a 10 min walk. Port Franks is perfect for little ones, Sandy and very shallow area for safety and easy assess to the water. Ross and Sandy’s spot had everything we needed with the number of bedrooms to accommodate our family. A great deck off the living room where we ate most of our meals. Would recommend this cottage for a great family vacation.

Our children, grandchildren and us spent a fantastic vacation together at the Cove. The cottage is situated in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood and its facilities lend well to multigenerational families. The short walk to the family friendly beach provided great opportunities to enjoy beautiful sunsets and the beauty of Lake Huron. Our family loved the homey feeling of the cottage. We appreciated the layout of the dining room where we could eat together as a family or also step out onto the upper deck to enjoy time together. Lots of activities were available for various ages. The campfire pit made for relaxing evenings. Our host, Ross, was quick to address any specific requests for our group and to answer any questions we might have. We would highly recommend the Cove for a family retreat!

A great space! Large rooms, easy access to a beautiful, calm lake, and plenty of “things” available for whatever we needed. We loved the extra long table, hidden chess game, and upstairs deck. Thanks for a great week!

7 days in a row at the beach!

A short walk to a great beach. We had a great time connecting with family. Well stocked with games and books. Lots of room for everyone to have their own space. Ross responded quickly to any questions. All in all a great week!

Great cottage in a splendid location

This has been one of the loveliest weeks we spent on the Shores of Lake Huron and The Cove along with its owners made our time spent here wonderful. The expansive, well stocked, clean and well situated cottage was a very pleasant surprise. We would go back anytime.
