About this property

2B Truffle Cottage-a little gem in the country

We live the good life on a lifestyle block in Paengaroa near Te Puke, that has a QEII Conservation covenant on our native bush. We have sheep, ducks, and chickens. We also have a dog that we have trained to find truffles. He is an English Springer Spaniel and is very bouncy!
We welcome the opportunity to share this lifestyle with B&B guests. Visitors are also welcome to follow the bush walks down to the Mangorewa river.

Our aim is to be as self-sufficient as we can be, and we grow or catch most of our food. I love cooking and preserving our harvest in the sunny Bay of Plenty. We have several small orchards, our own boat to go fishing. Our cottage is nestled beside the bush, and has a garden view.

We have upgraded our cottage with a lounge and patio area but currently the bed is a Queen size. If a second bed is needed, we have a fold-down sofa bed that we can make up for you.

Parking is available adjacent to the cottage.

A fabulous spot . The garden was amazing . The trees and bird life made it a special place. A lovel

Alovely place in the country. Lots of things for breakfast. Lots of tasty chutneys etc. Family at the mount. Dinner in Tepuke. Not far away. Friendly and welcoming hosts.

Best little getaway

We stayed with here for 2 nights whilst visiting family. We had an absolutely wonderful few days, especially our 21 month old son, who adored the dog and loved the farm feel. Will be recommended this stay to our family. Thanks for our great little holiday.

A little Gem in the Country - Part 2

My comments can be seen in Part 1. But true to our host's amazing helpfulness -when we couldn't stay a second night after this night she opened up the night before to stay . Which was so very much appreciated. Again thank-you for having such an amazing and beautiful place to stay.

A Gem in the Countryside

An all round lovely experience From booking to staying. Beautiful gardens and native bush make this a delightful and tranquil place to stay. The owners are very attentive and helpful - awesome hosts. The amenities are also excellent.. We were visiting in Te Puke and had the choice of an 18 k drive back to Tauranga or the 18 k drive to Truffle cottage. So pleased we made the latter choice.!!
