Master bedroom has queen size bed, oversized bathroom, walk in shower. 2 guest bedrooms have queen beds, 4th bedroom has full size futon and twin over full bunk beds. Living sofa has queen size pull out bed. Full sized washer and dryer. Sleeps 13

This home's wide open floor plan with high ceilings was made for entertaining. Enjoy a fabulous water view from each entertaining space. Expansive covered/uncovered South-facing deck reveals panoramic beach views. Wake up to Gulf views from the Master en-suite featuring deck access. Access to Terramar's pool, water front pavilion, boat ramp & slips.

We also allow access to the Shipt account that has free deliveries from Kroger, Office Depot, Target, and CVS. Don't waste your trip running to the store. They will bring it all to you.

Kitchen accessories include blender, coffee pot, full cooking set up.

Outdoor space has charcoal grill, lounge chairs, and an outdoor shower.

Wifi, TV, plenty of games and toys. Beach chairs, toys, and boogie boards are stored in the downstairs storage and ready for use.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the well-stocked Bare Feet Retreat with the amazing deck, views, nice furniture, and comfy beds. It’s probably one of the nicest places we’ve found waterfront in the Galveston area. We especially liked being centered in the private beach area, which was really quiet during our Oct. stay. If we could change one thing, we’d widen the lengthy beach access path so we don’t brush against the plants as we walk down with gear.

Beautiful beach home!

The house was beautiful. The lift was so helpful with all our groceries and luggage. The view from this house was amazing. The windows allows a water view from nearly everywhere!

Excellent place for a fun and peaceful getaway on the Beach!

Had a wonderful time! This place is very nice for a family gathering on the beach. Enjoyed our 3-day stay… only wish we could have stayed longer! Will definitely book again!

Girls Beach Trip

This property is AMAZING. Pictures were accurate and the beach views were spectacular. House is well kept including up to date kitchen appliances. We will definitely be back next year. Very roomy house.

The house is amazing

The house is amazing inside and out. You feel right at home and you will never want to leave. The views from the large deck are amazing. The beach is wide and private. There is nothing like having your morning coffee while watching the waves roll onto the beach and to feel that breeze on your face. This is a wonderful beach house.

Loved location, being on beach, space in home but house needs maintenance and repairs (paint peeling off ceiling, damage around 2 window sills, walls need to be cleaned and touch up with paint, siding on ground outside, sheets in one bedroom dirty ).

Great Views!

This is a wonderful property and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It is quite a way from Galveston, but the upside is that the beach is never crowded. The outside is starting to show some typical beach maintenance issues, and there is some water damage on the windowsills, but this is a beautiful house with phenomenal views inside and out. There were six of us and we cooked quite a bit, so a few more dishtowels would be nice. Great place!

Family Beach Trip

We had a wonderful stay and hope to return. The house is well-maintained, has many windows that provide beautiful views of the beach, and is in a great location. There is an ample supply of beach toys in the storage room that includes a handy wagon to haul them, (my grandkids added some of their’s to the stash when we left). The lift made unloading and loading our luggage and groceries so much easier. This was a three generation family trip, and the seating on the back deck was the perfect place for us to gather and visit in the evenings.

Wonderful location to beach

Older beach front home. The host was very responsive to my difficulty issue entering the property. Not the cleanest or best kept property. All countertops in kitchen & bathrooms unclean. As well, trash under bed from previous visitors. Bedding sheets in disarray, ? Unchanged. Washer & dryer function well. Multiple light switches taped over. The WIFI was outstanding. The refrigerator was clean & functional except the ice maker & water spout. Fully well stocked kitchen. Functional Various kitchen appliances. The view of The Gulf & beach is spectacular!!! Great outdoor seating , enough for a dozen or more guests. All in all a very nice property with a sweet Christmas tree set up. Would recommend staying at this property.

A little compassion would have gone a long way

News outlets reported severe weather approaching Galveston on the dates we reserved. There were threats of street flooding and travel alerts for several days ahead of our trip. I tried to get the owners to move our dates to another week, even one with cheaper fees, but we were willing to pay the higher fee that we contracted for. When they decided to respond to me 2 days later, they declined to help us. The weather during our stay was horrendous, and our home town, just north of Houston flooded. We very nearly found ourselves trapped in a drenched rental in Galveston. We threw our money away.

Clean and great location!

The location is fabulous with easy private beach access. We had young kids with us and it was great to be able to go back to the house for bathroom and snack breaks. The beach was not crowded at all and it was clean. The property itself was also clean. It had a lot of beach stuff including a wagon, chairs, sand toys, and boogie boards. The kitchen was stocked with most of the utensils and appliances you’d need. You’ll need to bring/buy condiments. Only a few things I would change. There were fans in the closets but several didn’t work. The kids room with the bunks didn’t have blackout curtains and the sun literally goes down in that window. If you plan on putting your kids to bed before 9pm you’ll need to figure something out. There is not a TV in one of the bedrooms which is sort of odd. Communication with the host was rocky at first but eventually was fine. We would definitely consider staying here again!

We live in East Texas and visit the beach often. In 2018, we had an opportunity come up to invest in Bare Feet Retreat (named by my college best friend and biggest life cheer leader) as place not only to make memories within our family but to share with others. We truly look forward to coming for quiet weekends, great grilling, and tons of sandcastle building.
