This two-story cabin has been in our family over 50 years. It is located in a private community right next to one of the largest resort/marina's in South Lake. Also, right next door, is Camp Richardson Resort and Marina.
The cabin is rustic in design. 5 bedrooms, 2 downstairs and 3 upstairs. 3 bathrooms, 2 downstairs and 1 upstairs. 1 large open living room and kitchen. We have a large lake side deck that is where most people spend the majority of their stay, overlooking the vast beauty of Lake Tahoe and having easy access to the water.
So much to do in Tahoe in both of our long seasons. We are located three minutes from an awesome sledding hill that mostly locals know about, eight minutes from Heavenly Ski Resort, ten minutes from state line, and 25-30 minutes from Tahoe City where the family can go white-water rafting in the summer. Within a walking distance you will find all manners of FUN.... physical activities to theatre and art shows. There is the famous Valhalla Estate available for weddings. Learn about the Indians and history of Tahoe in the various museum installations at the Three Historic Estates to the west.
This is a great, family-owned, rental cabin that wants to make our renters feel like family and keep coming back to beautiful South Lake Tahoe.

We had a great stay at the Jameson Rental with our family and really enjoyed our time there! The house was nice and clean and the hosts were very responsive when we had questions.
We had a wonderful time. The house was clean, cozy, and very welcoming. Our host had firewood ready for us warm up the house. Seeing the lake every morning was so relaxing. Out check in instructions and check out information was very easy to follow. I highly recommend this place to make many wonderful memories.

Amazing property located right on the water and next door to the historic Camp Richardson. Access to buoys for boats at Camp Richardson as well as food and music at the Grove just a short walk down the beach. We will be back!
We loved being in a private neighborhood right next to Camp Richardson. The waterfront deck was an ideal gathering spot for our family and the house itself was well maintained and stocked with everything we could need. Great communication and easy check in/ check out will definitely try to return for future stays
We had a wonderful time at this Lake Tahoe home. We especially enjoyed the beach and the patio that overlooked the lake. We would love to return in the future!
We booked this home for a New Year’s get away with friends. Location was amazing, right on the water! We could see the New Years fireworks at Heavenly village. Rooms are small but living area was prefect for our group of 8.
We had two families that needed a large place to stay in Tahoe. This place was perfect and such a great location. The view was amazing every morning and home was clean and comfortable. 20 minutes from the mountain and drive wasn’t bad. Probably even better in the summer with the nice large deck.
The house and location are wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better place. Communication was good, and we were accommodated for an early check-in. We hope to return someday.
We had an amazing time at this house in Tahoe! The house was literally right on the lake! My crazy boy jumped in the ice cold lake every day before skiing. Absolutely magical few days!
We love coming to the Painter’s cabin. It is the perfect cabin and location for us to be together as a family! Our days were spent swimming in the lake, exploring the area and evening barbecuing and enjoying our meals on the deck. The cabin had everything we needed and the hosts are easy to communicate with and very helpful.
We had a great 5 days at this location. Fall is the best time of the year at Tahoe in my opinion and this house was perfect for our family, including a toddler. As described, awesome location, clean and well maintained. We will be back for sure!
Our group represented ages from 1 to 86, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay! I loved walking to the local coffee shop and bringing coffee back to the cabin to enjoy on the spacious patio! The views were breathtaking. It was very clean.
We have stayed here yearly for the last 3 years, and have had a fantastic vacation all 3 times. There are always new things to do, and the view can't be beat! I can't speak highly enough about this property and the vacation that comes with staying right on the water in Tahoe. You and your family will make memories that will last a lifetime!
My convoy security team tries to get together once a year with our spouses in tow. This trip has to be the best one so far. Your place was exceptional and there was so much to do in the area. We will plan this trip again for sure.
This property exceeded all expectations—truly a dream stay! The deck leads right into the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tahoe, making it feel like your own private slice of paradise. Communication with the owners was seamless, and the location couldn’t be better—just a scenic 20-minute drive to Heavenly Village. The marina area nearby has everything you need: a market, coffee and ice cream shops, and even bike rentals. We stayed here as a family with ages ranging from 7 to 63, and every single person had an incredible time. All of our Tahoe bucket list spots were easy to access, and the whole experience was absolutely beautiful. We’ll definitely be booking again!
Aside from the June gloom which was expected, the beauty of Lake Tahoe is still unparalleled. The house is roomy, stocked well with whatever is needed, and in a great location if you want to do other things. It's our second time there and we'll definitely come back! Thank you to the Painters for your hospitality!
