This cabin is located on a working cattle farm. This will mean that you will be navigating cow poop all the way to the cabin on the gravel road. If you have a car that is lower to the ground, DO NOT RENT THIS LOCATION. The pond pictured is not next to the cabin. The upholstered chairs that are faded blue in the pictures are threadbare. There was leftover food on the floor under the table and in the kitchen. The kitchen sink had crusted on food. When we first entered the cabin, a mouse ran under the kitchen cabinets and fresh droppings under the table. My wife began to clean the cabin and I told her we were leaving immediately. I contacted the person responsible for the cabin via text and he, on his own accord, offered to refund me with a check. I hope he keeps his word. If so, that would be kind and frankly, the right thing to do due to the circumstances.
If you are going to rent this cabin, I recommend you understand the following:
-it is on a working cow farm. You will dodge cattle and manure.
-directions to the cabin are vague.
-the exterior structure of the cabin is good except for the deck which had rotting boards.
-the decore is well-worn and overly worn.
-SUV or truck is recommended
-the pond pictured is not next to the cabin.
-the cabin was dirty when we arrived. This could easily be corrected with an hour or two of cleaning.

Anonymous, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you.
- We take cleanliness very seriously and the cabin was cleaned before you checked in I went over and looked it over and it was clean
- The remote location of the cabin is a selling point for those who want to step away from their everyday stresses, this is part of the allure and most guests appreciate it
- I would have hoped that the refund I gave you would have made up for your inconvenience
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we are known for.
Hay algunos electrodomésticos que no funcionan, las camas hacen demasiado ruido pero la ubicación de la cabaña es perfecta para descansar del ruido de la ciudad!
The cabin was beautiful and very comfortable for our family. Plenty of space for everyone to relax, and plenty of table space for games and activities for all ages.
The owners were very accessible when needed.
We went for a quick 3 night stay before back to school and my 53rd birthday getaway. Loved the cabin! Its beautiful and the setting is peaceful. Family loved the pond and the surrounding woods.
We are country people and this was amazing for us to disconnect and relax by getting away from the everyday crush. Plenty of space for the kiddos. The view is amazing, and we got to enjoy an awesome lightning show one night! Grilled and enjoyed family time on the deck.
Plenty of amenities provided, but I do suggest bringing water to drink. The well has plenty of water pressure, but it is sulfer. We didn't mind at all. Can't say enough about how relaxing this was for my family. Nothing to do but enjoy nature, which is what we wanted.
There is a tv and dvd player provded, but we only used it on the first night. Woods provide wonderful hiking, and the pond was a joy for the kids.
Make sure if its summer to use bug spray, ticks are prevalent, but again its the woods so this was expected. We hope to go back again for different seasons.
My husband and I rented this property to have some downtime together. Check in was very easy and communication was done with owner through text messaging. He had his son tell us where the trails were. We had a truck, so the driveway was not a problem. Place was very clean. We enjoyed our time very much. Sitting on the porch and listening to all the birds morning and night was so relaxing. The smell of the sassafras trees was so nice. The pond was nice to be at. The little dock was nice. My husband would suggest the pond to be stocked so the fishing would be more fun. He is a catch and release person and just enjoys the fishing. The little swing by the pond was nice to hang out in while he fished. There was a canoe and 2 kayaks, but we did not use them. We brought our 4 wheeler and rode the trails around the place. Those were nice. As for the well water, we just brought bottled water. Although the smell brought nice memories of visitng my great grandparents house when I was a kid. Lots of room for taking families, but still nice for couples. Maybe last suggestion would be to have newer rocking chairs for porch. Thanks for a relaxing stay. Appreciate it! You have a beautiful place!
This property was even more beautiful than the pictures show. Breathtaking views, cleanliness, every amenity you could ever want or need! Very secluded and private making it the perfect get away.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful with breath taking views! Very secluded with Grand Lake close for water fun. Owner was extremely nice and took care of any need we had, which was very few. The cabin is stocked with all your needs.

If you are looking for a great scenery the balcony overlooks a beautiful valley. Bedding and furniture were nice. Everything worked properly. We plan on returning to visit again.
Everything overall went smooth, my family and I all had fun and enjoyed our stay, everything was clean. Definitely recommend to stay here as a little getaway!
We loved everything , the privacy and the cabin was very spacious and clean . We had all the woods just for us and the fire camp out !! The pond with the canoe we had a blast !!!!! It was just what we needed to get away from the city and do family stuff . Our kids really enjoyed it and we did too.

It was comfortable and very peaceful. My family enjoyed the view from the balcony and the pond. everything we needed was available. Definitely looking forward to staying again.
Overall we had a good experience there were a few things that were misleading about the location being close to Langley it’s about 45 mins away. The sulfur smell in the water was very unpleasant and we were not informed of that before hand. There were a few boards on the deck that need to be replaced and one of my guest actually fell through. If you have a low car or luxury car the gravel driveway will not be good for it because it’s about two miles long and it’s a rough drive. Other than that the cabin was clean and had a lot of room and it’s a very quiet area.
Hi Aundrea, We are glad that overall you enjoyed your stay, but we are sorry that some aspects of the property fell short of your expectations. We take the accuracy of our listings seriously, and travelers can see before they book that the cabin is minutes from Grand Lake and near Grove. The homeowner apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the deck, and they have had the plank repaired. They have also had the gravel on the driveway redone and smoothed after recent storms in the area. They'd like to clarify that the cabin is on a well system, and while the water may occasionally smell like sulfur, it is completely safe to use. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your stay, and we hope that you keep us in mind for your future travels! Best, the Evolve Team

Log cabin
We enjoyed our stay and it was conveniently located near a local event our group attended. The cabin was fully furnished with everything from pots and pans to a BBQ grill that we took full advantage off. Would definitely stay there again.

Aida, we're sorry to hear your stay fell flat of your expectations. This cabin's water source is through a well. The homeowner has not received similar feedback that this has been an issue with past guests, but we apologize if this caught you off guard. We can assure it is perfectly safe to use for washing and drinking. We are confident this home will continue to host many satisfied guests! Best, the Evolve Team
