granted it was the week after Labor Day, but it was very quiet, which is exactly what we wantedAnd having your own dock where we could put the boat in and leave it in till the end of our stay was a huge plus
We had such an easy booking and fabulous stay at Kentucky Lake, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world (there's a statement). We were so pleased with our stay. All the peace and quiet we were hoping for. Restaurants in the area were great. We're gonna head back next year, we were so taken with the area. Thank you.

Glad y'all visited with us! We hope you will come again.
The cabin is cute and comfortable. It was perfect for our needs. The location has a nice view of the lake. We were able to sit on the screened porch which was very nice. We would definitely stay here again.
Everything was great. The location was everything we had hoped for. We would definitely stay there again. Mr Yates was very easy and pleasant to deal with.

Thanks so much for coming. We hope you will come again. God bless.
Even if the weather and fishing were sketchy at times, we still were able to have a fish fry and enjoy our time on Kentucky Lake in a cottage in a perfect location. The cottage had everything we needed and was perfect for a weekend getaway.

Thanks for staying with us. Hope you will come back.
Open and relaxing one bedroom lake house within walking distance to the lake. Small front area with chairs to sit and relax. Can accommodate two vehicles in front of the “Selah”.
Nice getaway, some issues with WiFi after a storm. Beautiful lake view. Very quiet setting. Owner very easy to work with and communication was excellent.

Thanks for staying with us. Sorry about the storm and wifi issue. Come back soon !
The house was very nice. You can fish right out the back door. Its a little off the beaten path but it only takes between 20-30 minutes to get to restaurants, stores or land between the lakes park.
The property was clean and welcomed our dog. That's always a plus for us.We were a bit dissappointed that the full lake view was not directly from the property. The furnishings were old and it seemed a bit dark.Otherwise it was a nice property for us.
Property was nice and clean. Clock above sink didn'twork, one lamp wouldn't turn on and oven wouldn't heat. Listing said 2 BR, only 1BR and trundle bed in living area.oven.wouldn't turn on.

This was a last minute getaway for the family on the lake. It was a great little cottage for a good price. Property manager was great! Communicated with us and responded quickly. We enjoyed just tying off with our tubes on the deck and floating. Access to everything you need within 15 minutes! Recommend!

The 750sf home faces another house, so the picture window is filled with that home, not the lake. The dock/pier is at least 75 feet down a steep hill with steps, so the picture at the site is misleading. Three old air conditioners were not able to cool the home and we were told to work with the breakers, which was not tenable and did not fix the problem. It was so hot we finally could not stay. Michael was nice and canceled our reservation but we were very disappointed since we then had to find a new place to stay.

This review is not truthful. The description of the vrbo listing explicite stipulates there are steps that lead down to the lake. We have plenty of guest stay at our homes and enjoy the properties using the steps.
One Air conditioners is brand new, one air condition is about 4 years old and the other that still is a very good ac is an older unit. Their stay was in the middle of July at a lake. The thermometer reading was nearly 100 degrees and the heat index was nearly 110 degrees. The lake has a very excellent view from the porch bedroom. There's also an exellent view of the lake from the outdoor seating area. There's nothing mentioned in the description that the lake is viewable from any picture window. A person can't expect to pay $147 a night for a lake view that cost $397 a night. Rent the house beside the cottage for $397 and you get a 180 degree view of the river, lake and all the activities going on the lake. You get what you pay for!!! This lady's reason to ask the stay be canceled on the day of arrival was because her husband had knee surgery and couldn't walk down the steps. Vrbo should not even allow you to review our home since you canceled the reservation. This review is wrong and then giving us a 2 is very disturbing. Hopefully you will have the perception of the wrong and ask vrbo to remove this review.
The house is right on the water, with a nice view off the deck. It was just as described, and I would recommend it. The only downside is that you HAVE to buy an insurance policy in case you break something. I have never had to buy any kind of insurance for this, and I despise buying extra insurance on anything because it is usually a waste of money. Plus, on top of buying the insurance policy, they also put a hold of $500 for any other discrepancies.
