Charming Washington Street Retreat - Walk to Beach, Mall and Restaurants!

Enjoy your Cape May vacation in Heritage House 3! This end-unit condo feels like home with two levels of light-filled living space. Located one and one-half blocks from the Washington Street Mall with restaurants, pubs and shops, and just three blocks to the beach. Heritage House sits back from the road so you can watch the world go by on the covered front porch. Our home offers a cozy living room, formal dining room, half bath and updated kitchen on the main level with three bedrooms and a full bath upstairs. Central air and ceiling fans in kitchen, dining room, and living room. Beach box and beach tags included! Sheets and bath towels included!

The living room is comfortably furnished with lots of throw pillows and a portable Bose music player. There is a large flat screen TV and cushy double sofa bed as well. The dining room accommodates 6 easily, with the possibility to add another two places to the table when needed. Colorful serving dishes and platters fill the top of the quaint built-in hutch, and the bottom is filled with games, movies and toys. The kitchen has been completely renovated with stainless steel appliances, gas range, white cabinets and granite countertops. The full-sized washer and dryer are also located in the kitchen. We love to cook and have tried to provide everything you might need to whip up some fantastic meals! Although if you don't feel like cooking, there are several excellent restaurants less than two blocks away.

Upstairs, the coral room has a queen bed and flat screen TV, with a built-in closet and folding futon sofa for seating or sleeping. The cozy blue room is perfect for children, and is furnished with two twin beds and flat screen TV. The green room has a king size bed, flat screen TV, and built-in closet. The full bath has been renovated and painted a soothing gray.

The best place to hang out, the front porch, boasts a shiny Weber natural gas grill (no worrying about propane tanks!), lots of seating for dining and rocking, a large buffet to house all the barbecue tools and other amenities, and two new remote-controlled ceiling fans. We have also reserved a beach box for you which contains six beach chairs, two umbrellas and lots of sand toys. There is a private locked storage area under the porch for your bikes and boogie boards, as well as a private seating area accessible from the side of the house.

We have some baby equipment if you need it (high chair, portable crib, booster chair) and will try to provide whatever else you might need to make your getaway to Cape May perfect in every way!

The property we stayed at was centrally located and backed away from the street. This provided for privacy and a low level of street noise. Inside the house was well stocked with amenities. There was also a sizable porch that was perfect for relaxing and dining . We would definitely recommend this rental property.

I have rented many properties at the shore and this was by far the cleanest with the best amenities. Walking distance to everything! Beach tags are included which was a nice perk. There is also a box on the beach full of clean chairs and umbrellas! This was great with 2 little ones not to have to drag all of this stuff. Sheets and towels are also included. The home is beautifully decorated and has a lovely porch that we loved to relax on! Alison the owner was responsive to questions and even recommended things to do while in town. I highly recommend this property!

Just an amazing stay at the charming Washington Street Retreat! Location is just amazing with easy walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and bars near Washington Street as well as a close walk to the beach. The home has everything you need - not once did I say "I wish there was here". Immaculately clean and the beds are super (I mean SUPER) comfortable! I will say we were only two people staying here. I think the home would fit four comfortably and for any more it might be a bit tight. But, if you are a family/group of 4/5 or less and are even contemplating staying here - DO IT. You will not regret it.

Delightful in every way!

We enjoyed a week long vacation with two adults, two young children, and two elderly grandparents for part of the week. Alison's house is clean, organized, beautifully designed and cared for. It is clear she takes pride in her home. She is accessible and very easy to communicate with. The location of the house is perfectly situated near the promenade and just a few blocks from the beach. We had no idea how a beach box works but we were so grateful to have access to one after we figured it out! No need to haul the heavy beach equipment, it's all right there for you. We loved every minute of our stay!!

Absolutely Loved It!!

Book this house and I guarantee you will not be disappointed! Heritage 3 is located right down the street from the Washington Mall and a short walk/bike ride from the beach. Set back from the street you forget how central this location is. The home is perfectly decorated with so many lovely touches, my husband, teenage son and I instantly felt at home. Alison, the owner, has thought of everything and takes the VRBO experience to a whole new level with her amazing communication, availability throughout and attention to cleanliness; particularly during this pandemic! Every evening we came back back to relax on the charming front porch. Wishing I were still there! I could go on and on. By far our favorite VRBO experience! Can’t wait to return on our next visit to Cape May!

Secret Hidden Gem!

Okay- we will save you a lot of time - Just stop looking and book Heritage House 3! From the moment our family (3 adults and 1 Teen) booked Heritage House 3 the owner Alison was in constant communication. Alison made us feel extremely comfortable with the COVID-19 cleaning precautions she put in place. I can literally write pages on our stay so I will try to summarize this shortly and to the point. The pictures of Heritage House 3 are as they seem and way more. From the minute we walked onto the porch we felt the calm of Cape May hit us. The kitchen is perfect and has everything you can possibly need down to zip lock snack bags. We took advantage of the weber grille multiple times and spent A Lot of time in the mornings and evenings hanging out on the porch. Every bedroom was had ample room and the beds are super comfortable. Bathrooms were perfect for our family visit and super clean! (Alison you have us searching for that Myers Spray..lol) The family room was very comfortable and a great place for us to chill between showers and end our nights to planning the next days do nothing list..ha.ha.. Location…Location…I can’t tell you how perfectly situated Heritage House 3 is to Everything—Never took to car out. We rented bikes to grab coffee, breakfast, groceries (ACME about 100 yards away). Just a minute walk to Washington Streets main food and shopping locations. We walked to the beach every morning which is just blocks away and the best part of this – Beach Box! What a huge convenience it was having the beach box. Thank you for everything Alison, We hope to be back soon!

Fantastic place for a Cape May stay

Excellent, clean, well appointed property near everything you could possibly want to do in Cape May. We stayed here for our family vacation and it could not have been better. The owner is super attentive and helpful and the location of the property is next to everything that you could possibly want. Additionally it is set back a touch from the road so you are close to all but hear no road noise or foot traffic. Lastly, the owner provided beach box which contains chairs, toys, umbrellas etc is a huge plus which saves you the pain of having to lug stuff to the beach. If you are currently going through listings and wondering where to book stop browsing and just book this place. I know we certainly will for future trips to Cape May.

Such a cute little rental! Very well kept with new kitchen. Great owner to work with too! We enjoyed our stay. Only downside is that there’s only 1 parking spot but otherwise great place to rent. Walking distance to all stores and restaurants.

Incredible beach stay!

This getaway was a perfect way to spend a week at this beach. Not only was the house close to the beach, but the house itself was perfect for everything we needed. Extremely clean and well taken care of, decoratively beautifully, great amenities, and amazing host! Alison was so incredibly helpful before and during the visit, always available to talk, and answered any questions/concerns!! Absolutely loved our stay here. The place is impeccably clean and well organized. It had everything we could’ve needed for a relaxing getaway to cape May. The proximity to the beach and the Washington st mall meant we never used the car. The house sits back off the street which gives it a quaint nestled in feel. The porch is lovely and spacious-perfect for morning coffee and happy hour cocktails. The place comes with beach tags and a locker on the beach that had chairs and umbrellas so no need to lug anything to the beach. This made the trip extremely relaxing and the perfect place for our family vacation. Allison, the property manager, was very helpful and only a text away if needed. 100% recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Heritage House #3 is a beautiful property set back off of the street. The house itself is lovely, clean and comfortable. The porch is such an added bonus complete with grill and everything you would need! It was great to have a beach box and a secure place in the basement to sore our bikes. It was a pleasure dealing with the owner.

Great condo and location!

We had such a great time at Heritage House 3! It had everything we needed and so much more. Everything was clean and high quality. The size was about what we were expecting given the nature of the homes in Cape May. The bedrooms were nice and we were able to fit a full size travel crib in two of the rooms for our daughter. Though not baby proof, we found the space mostly well-suited for a toddler. There were even a few toys for her in the closet. For two days day we had six adults and it was a little crowded when we were all in the house. But it was perfectly sized for three-four adults, I would say, or two adults and two kids. You can't beat the location. Right on Washington Street, this spot was far enough away from the bustle of the mall to be cozy but close enough to everything that we could just pop over to the mall or beach without much planning. Alison was great to communicate with and super responsive. We would definitely stay here again.
