This top story unit at the Shores of Maui offers a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean and is located on the sunniest part of the Island. It’s about 50 yards from the sand, directly across from Cove Park, a fun surfing and paddle boarding beach. It’s a one block walk to Charlie Young Beach (as a reference, it's the north end of Kama'ole Beach I), one of the finest swimming beaches on Maui!

The complex is minutes away from the resorts and shops of Wailea as well as championship golf and world class restaurants. It’s also walking distance from charming local Kihei cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries.

The condo is on the second floor of the two story complex, accessible by stairs but not elevator. The unit was remodeled including the kitchen with stainless appliances, hardwood bamboo floors in the living room/dining area and bathrooms, Samsung "Smart" 32” flat screens in each bedroom, all with DVD/BluRay players attached and free Netflix; and a new 65" 4k UHD LG Smart TV in the living room.

In the kitchen--KEURIG 2.0 PLUS SERIES single serve coffee maker. There is also a standard electric coffee maker in the kitchen.

Two or three higher quality BOOGIE BOARDS and FOUR BEACH CHAIRS.

The bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated--one has a king bed, the other has two queens. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

There are TWO FULL BATHS in the unit.

The unit includes a spacious lanai (balcony) with spectacular OCEAN VIEWS, wonderful for sunsets and whale-watching. There is a table and chairs to sit and relax on the lanai.

The unit has NEW CENTRAL A/C! There is a separate thermostat and control in each bedroom and the main living area. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a full size Kenmore refrigerator and includes a dishwasher, NEW MICROWAVE, toaster and rice cooker.

FREE High Speed WIFI Internet is included (private for guests in unit only)

400+ digital channels of FULL HIGH DEFINITION TELEVISION in living room and bedrooms.
Free NETFLIX enabled on TV's in all rooms.

Includes TELEPHONE with unlimited local calls as well as free calling to all of the United States, Canada, China, Hong Kong and India.

Full size LG WASHER AND DRYER in the unit.

On-site amenities include a heated spa, swimming pool, tennis court, outdoor gas grills and covered outdoor eating area.


Note that there is a mandated state of Hawaii room tax of 14.41% +3% (for Covid) added to the daily rate--Hawaii added the additional 3% tax to start effective bookings after November 1, 2021. HI is increasing tax on visitors partly because the HI government shut down the island to visitors, thereby reducing income tax revenues to the state, and now they need to bring in more revenue to make up for that loss.

Note: Every September the swimming pool is closed for 2 days for its annual deep cleaning. If you book during these 2 days, you will receive a 15% discount from the standard rental rate for those days. thx

The condo was nice and clean. Check in was a bit frustrating as we couldn’t get in until 30 minutes after check in time due to the cleaning team didn’t have the room ready. There was an issue with the AC in one room however the owner resolved the problem quickly. We would stay at this location again

Nice stay

Nice place to stay, and great location! It was an aging facility (musty smell in hall bathroom from some wet floor spots and the deck needs some attention). The space was nice and appliances worked well. It did have AC, however was not quite as efficient as we had hoped (but it did work!). It was nice to have the washer/dryer and many beach items to borrow. We were within walking distance to great shops, restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Views were amazing!

A Week In Paradise

Our place was centrally located. We had a great view of the ocean from our room. We saw several whales right from our deck out of the living room. Everything, including the air conditioning, worked great. I would come back in a minute.

Spacious condo and great location

This is a large condo - love the 2 queen beds in the second bedroom and the king in the other! My teens had ample space for themselves. The condo can use some upgrades/remodeling (bath, cabinets), but it was clean and suited our purposes nicely. Well equipped with beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. and walking distance to surf board rental, restaurants and stores - and steps away from the beach!

Best for Families with No/Older Children

We are a family of 6 (3 Adults, 2- 4.5 yr olds and 1- 11 month old) and stayed in Sams condo for 2 weeks end of April into May. The Location couldn’t have been more perfect in Kihei. Walking to everything!!! The Cove Park beach directly across from the condo was amazing for kids who want to swim/play in the ocean as it is shallow however the sand was not very “clean” I would recommend Charlie Young Beach for sand play. Sam was great with responses and so was his local contact Shannon. Condo was clean and nicely decorated however not younger kid friendly. Glass tables and Flowers/plants that kids just wanted to play with. Carpet in living was so rough and scratching open my crawling babies knees we had to roll it up. I loved that it had plenty of bath towels and beach towels. We Loved having a unit with a washer and dryer!!! The pool area was nice and the BBQs were definitely great to have. They had beach equipment and a lrg cooler to use which was awesome!!!! The only three things I was unsatisfied with was the cooling of the bedroom with two beds. There is not an Ac Unit, Its a wall vent that is supposed to pull the cool air into the bedroom from the living room. It cools enough to be tolerable at night. The Master bedroom bed was hard and uneven! After long days of being at the beach I wanted a nice bed and that was not the case. Also for the days there was enough of a breeze to have the windows open we wanted the fan on during the lulls at night and the Master bedroom fan was only able to be on low because any more than that it seemed it would fall out the ceiling even after the repair man tried his best to fix it (which he managed to be able to get it work on low). The Pros definitely outweighed the Cons but I think this condo is best for families with older children or no children at all.

Condo had just been cleaned when we arrived. Towels and linens all clean and plentiful. Lots of extra beach gear like chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and even snorkel gear. Great location, close walking distance to South Maui Gardens food trucks and many other restaurants. Pool and grill area well maintained and convenient. The place/complex is a bit outdated but comfortable and roomy for our family of 5.

Lovely Stay

Our stay was great at this centrally located, yet quiet condo -- very easy walking distance to the waterfront, cafes, and shops. We enjoyed the view from the living room and balcony of the main beachside road, the mountains in the distance, and the water inlet park leading out to the bay. The living area and bedrooms were spacious and very clean. The bathrooms and kitchen were nicely functional and stocked -- enjoyed the good ground coffee awaiting on the shelf. Glad to have had the iron and board to get us ready for attending a wedding at Sugar Beach (very easy distance to that popular event venue). Would stay again.

You will be very happy with this place!

My family loves to travel and since we have three children I always want to find the best deal with the most possible amnesties. This place checked all those boxes! Washer and dryer in the unit, large bedrooms, enough beds for all of us, central AC, modern appliances, a balcony with an ocean view, responsive owner with easy check in, resort features like beautiful pool, jacuzzi, pickle ball courts, and a location where you can walk to everything. This place was amazing and I want to go back! Thanks Sam.

Great unit!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely unit for our family of five. Close walking access to the beaches and the view can’t be beat. Ocean/beach toys available at the suite which was very convenient. The pool is was a hit for the kids and the whole pool area was very well maintained daily. We will definitely return to the Shores of Maui!

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended the University of California at Berkeley. I loved San Francisco but moved to Los Angeles to attend graduate school at UCLA. I then began my career directing and producing educational television series for broadcast on PBS as well as projects for the South Korean Ministry of Education and the government of Singapore. I currently work in public education in Los Angeles and also develop multi-media interactive learning games and apps. Some of the work I do can be seen on our company website. I have been blessed with a wonderful 9-year old son who also loves the ocean and the beaches of Maui.

Why they chose this property

Since I was a child, my parents took me on vacations to Maui as well as the other Hawaiian islands. I loved the ocean and the beaches and the diving, surfing, whales, dolphins, sea turtles, sunsets and amazing hikes. None of that has changed. As an adult, I particularly enjoy Kihei and the Shores of Maui because I can sit on my lanai and enjoy a beautiful sunset every night, a glass of wine in hand--walk to excellent coffee and breakfasts in the morning--walk 60 yards to the ocean and take a swim--sit by the private pool on property or on the beach--then head over to one of the excellent local happy hours. Or we grill steaks and seafood on the gas bbq's on site and sip our home-made mai-tais and relax in the jacuzzi. Or if its a family and kids trip, we all swim and boogie board every day at the beach, walk to the park, or take a hike.
