About this property

Flop On In: Bring your flipflops and enjoy the best of Myrtle Beach

Come to Myrtle Beach to a condo that will help you enjoy your vacation to the fullest! The condo will accommodate a maximum of six; you will find 1 King bed, 2 twin beds, and a pullout queen-sized sleeper sofa. The guest bath is in the hall, and there is a full bath in the master. We are well-appointed with many extras; our condo is cleaned by individuals we know, not a service, to ensure cleanliness. The bedding in all bedrooms is replaced twice each year and all pillows and bed coverings are hypoallergenic (linens and towels are not included).

The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size stove, microwave, Keurig, refrigerator (with ice maker), and dishwasher. You will find a complete set of dishes and flatware as well as a wide assortment of kitchen tools, pots and pans, and small appliances. A breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the family room. Central heat and air and ceiling fans keep everyone comfortable. Unlike many other units in the complex, there is a full vanity in the master bath and central heat and air. Room darkening drapes aid in sleeping in or taking afternoon naps.

Your stay includes HD cable TV in the family room and primary bedroom as well as free WiFi access. A smart tv is located in the second guest room. There is also a toll free number that will give you technical support with your devices if you have trouble connecting.

Ocean Forest Villas is a clean and secure complex. Not only will you find the complex immaculately maintained, you also have security on site from 9pm to 7am. Interior corridors and well-lit outside, common spaces add to the safe, family atmosphere. There are two pools and two hot tubs. Our condo overlooks one of the pools. There is a large sundeck in front of the pool as well as showers for cleaning up when you come off the beach. The walk to the beach is highlighted by a crosswalk across Ocean Boulevard as well as a wooden walkover across the dunes. The laundry room is located conveniently down the hall. Outside areas with tables are provided for gas grilling with propane tanks full and paid for by our HOA. There is ample parking, but guests cannot bring motorcycles or trailers.

Ocean Forest Villas is located in a residential neighborhood that is just 50 blocks north of the center of Myrtle Beach. It's close to Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Village, both Tanger Outlet Centers, and lots of other shopping. There are several grocery stores close by as well as a wide variety of restaurants, both large chains and great local eateries.

*Kitchen cleaning items like dishwashing liquid and dishwasher tabs and cleaning wipes

• Laundry facilities for the floor are one door down on the same floor

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
All beds should be made up with the comforters and pillow shams that were on them when you arrived.
Be sure to take all personal items as our cleaners will be in the unit shortly after you leave.
If you damaged anything and have not already notified Kathy, please do so before you leave.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Guests should purchase travelers' insurance. Please refer to our cancellation policy.
Parking is limited to two vehicles for this unit. Parking tags must be displayed at all times.
Our condo is our home too. Please treat it with respect, follow the rules, and leave it as you found it.

Quiet and conveniently located

Great location, well maintained, condo. The location was great. The owners were quick and helpful when I panicked and needed help entering the door-which was actually very simple. The pool was incredibly clean and the maintenance man was around the grounds everyday. Security was seen at night making sure things were buttoned up. As a single mom that traveled alone with my children, I wish I knew of this place sooner.

Everything was very good overall. There was some sandiness in various places, but that's to be expected so close to the beach. The host was very communicative and easy to get a hold of. The unit does not come with paper goods, towels, or linens. This was not a problem for us, but we didn't find out until after booking. The kitchen has all the pans, plates, and utensils you'll need.

Great Weekend

Thank you Kathy for allowing us to use your wonderful condo!! Was there during Memorial Day Weekend. Even though that is a popular time and lots of people at the beach your condo was quiet . The beach was not crowded and there were only a couple of other people in the pool. but still close to restaurants and Broadway at the Beach. Thank you for choosing a Great Mattress for all the beds. No cheap mattress found in Kathy’s condo. We felt at home the minute we walked through the door. Kitchen well stocked with everything you could need. Will definitely rent this condo again in the future!!

Nicely furnished

Before reading, when I contacted the owner about the following issues, she was very responsive to my concerns. Upon arrival, we had several issues with cleanliness and bed issues. King bed is very nice. Mattress for sofa not so good. I let the owner know and she was ordering a new one so my daughter ended up sleeping just on the cushions. There was a lot of dirt under couch due to cleaning person not pulling it out to sweep. Twin beds were not very comfortable due to the coils. They squeaked when you would move. My granddaughter and her husband ended up sleeping on them so we moved the beds together and moved dresser and the dirt and food wrappers were under bed. Owner was very good with communication. I am not attaching pictures because owner was willing to get some things taken care of.

Perfect location with great amenities

We’ve stayed in Myrtle Beach many times and this was one of the best locations for us. We loved having laundry right on our floor (bring quarters) and the unit had everything we needed for meal prep. We took advantage of the outdoor gas grill and cooked out one night as well, which was nice. The pool is just out the back and we were there every day and there were always plenty of chairs. The chairs were new and very nice and the pool was super clean. We brought a bunch of games but ended up playing the Monopoly game that was already in the condo on a rainy day. The beach was great because you are far enough from the large resorts that we never had to look for space. I thought the walk over to the beach would be longer but it’s really just right out front. There was plenty of parking close to the building and we had an open Jeep our entire trip and never had any issues. We did have some noise from the upstairs neighbor but never too late at night and that’s to be expected anytime you’re in a multilevel unit. Kathy was SO responsive and great to work with which makes all the difference in a rental. We left something in the condo and she was super quick to help us locate and return it. Final note… if you like really good Italian, there is an amazing place at the end of the street called Crave. Get the lasagna. 😉 We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Location

Flop on In is a great property. It’s close to a quiet part of the beach, truly just a short walk across a non-busy road. Also close to well reviewed restaurants, grocery stores, and Kirks Icecream (we went three times!) The pools and hot tubs on the property are convenient to the condo. As for the condo, it had everything we needed. The bed and living room furniture were comfortable with plenty of seating and lighting. Kathy was quick to reply to any questions or assistance needed. I would definitely recommend Flop On In!

We've always wanted to own a property in Myrtle Beach, but we could not do it unless we make it available for rent. We've put a lot of ourselves in the space, including all the painting and decorating and even making the curtains and throw pillows. This is our home, and we really appreciate guests who treat it well. We live about 3 hours away, but we have worked hard to find reputable repair persons and house cleaners to maintain the unit. We've rented a lot of properties at the beach in NC, so we've tried to think of things that make those stays comfortable for us and included them in this unit for you.

Why they chose this property

Myrtle Beach has been a destination for both of us our whole lives. Throughout our marriage, we've come here often and always wanted to have a more permanent presence. We love this area because it is close to those things that make Myrtle Beach so much fun, but it's a quiet complex with a vibrant HOA that ensures a relaxing atmosphere for us and our guests.

What makes this property unique

This unit is located in a residential neighborhood that is just 50 blocks north of the center of Myrtle Beach. For us, it's a great combination of awesome ocean views, a quiet retreat, and easy access to the more vibrant and busy areas of Myrtle Beach. I'm a gourmet cook, so if you want to whip up big meals or specialty dishes, you are likely to find the utensils, bowls, appliances, and pans you'll need.
