About this property

A Big House with Lots of Room

Large 2,800+ square foot home with 5 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a 3/4 bath upstairs can accommodate your family. Enough beds for 18 people, before pulling out the roll-away beds and mats in the basement for 4 extra friends, for the maximum 22 sleepers.

The upstairs has 4 full beds that can sleep 8, and a 3/4 bath. The ground level has a master bedroom with a king size bed, and the master bath has a large, oval tub and a separate shower. The ground-level has 3 more bedrooms that share a full bathroom. The finished basement has a large sectional sofa with recliners to watch movies or play games on a large screen TV. The round kitchen table can accommodate 10 chairs.

Extra chairs and folding table with table linens are available. House is located on a corner lot that can easily park 10 vehicles (2 driveway, 1 front, 7 on the side).

Due to possible pet allergies of other guests, pet stays are allowed only with prior approval.

For service dogs belonging to our veterans and active military, and guide dogs for the visually-impaired, please send an inquiry before booking. We love our military service men and women. Thank you for your service.

The Big House Delivers

We really enjoyed the house. It accommodated our large family. We had 10 adults and 8 children stay there and still had room. The hosts were wonderful. The location is a definite plus as well. We will definitely keep this home in mind for future use.

Great house for a large group!

Property and location were great for our large group in town for a retirement party/football game. Hosts were accommodating and we had everything we needed for our visit. Comfortable beds and lots of room to spread out. Our only complaint was the AC never seemed to keep the house as cool as we would have liked.

Enjoyed Our Stay

Home met our 4 family needs. Kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed. Parking was sufficient and easy for big groups. Beds were comfortable. Safe neighborhood and easy access to most of Lubbock. Carlos and Sara were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed and responded quickly to any questions we had. Will stay there again.

Perfect big house!

Sara & Carlos were amazing hosts! We loved the house and it was perfect for the weekend! Loved the fact they were able to meet us when we first arrived at the property! If you are needing a big house for a big group of people I’d definitely recommend this property! We will definitely be staying with them again if we come back to Lubbock!! Best stay ever!

We have a large family ranging from over 50 adults to grand babies under 2yrs old. This home was the perfect fit for us to stay for my daughters wedding; a place for everyone to be together, making food, playing games, and comfortable beds. Many memories were made! We lived in this house before downsizing to a home half the size. We opened our guest home in 2018. Carlos finally retired from his job of 32 years to become the linen washer, bed-maker, and concierge extraordinaire. He works the rug shampooer, vacuum cleaner and mop like a boss. I still work full-time, not ironing 20 pillowcases each turnaround. We decided to marry 2 months after meeting each other, and have been married 25 years. We had to cancel our own anniversary celebration in April due to COVID, and understand other families' disappointments. These are tough times for everyone. Our takeaway is to appreciate our loved ones while we can. Time in each other's presence should not be taken for granted.

Why they chose this property

I wanted to work and live in Lubbock after our son required and received excellent medical care in UMC's Trauma Center, SICU and rehab, due to a work-related accident. My gratitude runs deep. When it was time to buy a house, we knew this was THE ONE as soon as we walked in. This large home could accommodate the needs of our large family at the time. Then, after major life changes, we downsized. Now we hope other large families enjoy this beautiful home.

I like the large kitchen/dining area with lots of counter space. I liked the basement, because even though there were enough beds for everyone in the bedrooms, the grandkids opted to sleep on a blanket on the floor in the basement. So I suppose this could be the designated slumber party room.

I appreciated that our visiting family (enough to fill a bus) did not need to park down the street. This is a nice, quiet vicinity in South Lubbock.

What makes this property unique

The square footage. This home is the largest home on the block, and one of the largest in this family neighborhood. It is 1 block to a school yard with kid's playground, softball backstops and football goals.. The speed limit on this street is 30. Kids ride their bikes, runners jog, and people walk their dogs. It's nice. The nearest grocery store is a 2-minute drive. Easy access to major streets UNIVERSITY and INDIANA.
