We found this an excellent location for visiting lots of attractions and good eating venues
Excellent location, good access to places of interest in this area. Well equipped kitchen, great living space. Nice touch the bottle of wine on our arrival. Only slight niggle the third bedroom quite tight for space. The membership of St Mellion club a good plus But on the whole a lovely family two week holiday . We would recommend it.

A Wee Little Disappointed for the Price we paid
A nice house in a very quiet location with an amazing maintenance Person (I am very sorry, that I forgot your name!!), but ... - We used the Homeaway GPS coordinates to find the house. Fortunately, we met other guests there who told us, that we have to pick up the keys at the St. Mellion reception. - We had the impression that the house was a part of the St. Mellion Resort, that our Kids could just walk over to the pools, but you have to drive at least 10 - 15 mins. to get there. - Additionally, „The Oakridge People“ - that is what one „Sue“ at the Spa reception called us - are not entitled to get towels there. You have to rent them for £2 a piece ... Basically, she made us feel like 2nd class guests ... All of her colleagues were very friendly though, but they also told us about the restrictions for „The Oakridge People“. - The German translation of the house description is abysmal and factually wrong (e.g. three bathtubs). - At least in our point of view some rooms had a little unpleasant odor. - The bedrooms are very small. If you want to open a suitcase you have to put it on a bed, because there is not enough room on the floor. - The upstairs living area (with an XBox 360 and decent internet connection) is very nice! To put this review into perspective: Before we stayed at Oakridge we stayed five nights in a cottage in Whitstable, Kent, and eight nights in a cottage on the Isle of Wight. We booked both through HomeAway, and both earned a full five star review!

Fantastic views and amazing golf and sports facilities
very comfortable cottage with all mod cons including sky sports. Lovely views over the Nicklaus course. The use of the golf courses at st mellionis just such great value. Their pool and gym are also great. Perfect place for an active holiday as the club is just a few minutes drive

Fabulous home from home
Wonderful peaceful location with beautiful views. Special touch on arrival to be greated with a welcome note and bottle of wine. Thoroughly enjoyed the leisure facilities and the two fabulous golf courses. Staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Quiet location, just one thing..
Stayed here for a week with my OH and daughter. The Gallery is well equipped with a spacious upstairs living area and although the bedrooms are a bit tight on space they are all ensuite with good wardrobe space. The upstairs can get rather warm but the bedrooms stay cool day and night. The grounds are very well tended and there’s plenty of parking. The location is very peaceful, situated out of the way there is nothing to disturb the quiet. Unfortunately we had an issue with the front door key on the evening of our second day, we couldn’t get in and despite several calls we couldn’t contact anyone looking after the property to help us out, neither could the golf club who we picked the keys up from. In the end after considering locksmiths (£140 to get us in) breaking a window or paying for a hotel somewhere the golf club were our rescuers and put us up for the night in one of their own cottages and found a charger so I could charge my phone, can’t thank them enough for helping us out! Our calls were finally returned 8.45 the next morning and we were met back at the cottage at 9.30am, turns out that although we had locked the door on our way out the previous morning it was the wrong key and it wouldn’t unlock the door..the keys are very similar and on exactly the same keyrings. Had someone been available to answer our calls we would of been in in half an hour and relaxing (OH wasn’t happy he missed the England match!), instead we were driving around looking for Cornwall Cottages and imposing on the reception staff at the golf club. Not what I expect when hiring somewhere and no apology offered for no one being available. It’s a bit out the way to not have an emergency contact available so we won’t return here on our next visit to Cornwall.

clean, resourced well, lovely quiet location and views
Stayed one week, 2 adults and 2 children, then had 2 more adults who joined us for 2 days. Played golf which is fantastic at St Mellion, the gym and pool also great and were used daily. The property suited us very well, bedrooms are small but for a short stay, just fine. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Only one incident, a tree fell down on the road leading to the property one day, Steve was fantastic getting it cleared in under 2 hours, a great maintenance chap indeed. Overall, weather included, this is a lovely please to stay, and would potentially come back one day.

Amazing property in beautiful location
Great property - modern, airy, beautifully furnished with a view straight up the fairway. The free golf membership and the leisure club membership makes for a fantastic holiday. A good local pub, a short ride out to the coast, and some beautiful local sights made for the perfect break

Well appointed property, a little isolated
The property was very well appointed and very comfortably accommodated our family of 4, two adults, a 16-year old and a 12-year old. The space and design made it very comfortable and all the essential gadgets to ensure day to day life goes on were appreciated. The property was very clean on arrival, a thorough job had been done to make it welcoming. There were even some basic essentials in the cupboards, much appreciated. The roads leading to Oakridge and very narrow, many blind bends and limited passing places - drive with caution. The facilities are not easily accessible; being a two mile drive; this was disappointing. The Weary Friar was a delicious meal and very welcoming. We visited Bodmin, Port Isaac, Charlestown and Plymouth. Overall, a lovely relaxing week had, thank you.

Hidden gem
Lovely location in SE Cornwall next to the St Mellion golf resort. We do not play golf but the free use of the St Mellion pool and gym (as well as exercise classes etc), was really handy. If you are into golf, the free golf memberships would also be really useful. The location is good for travelling around and the property itself is very nice.

Not to be missed
If you are looking for somewhere to get away from it all then this is the place, the location and views are stunning, but you are never far away from the main towns. The accommodation was of a very high standard and was clean, you had everything you might need. And the St Mellion golf course and club house was outstanding, my husband and brother-inlaw played both course and rated these as one of the best courses they have played on in a long time. Leisure facilities are excellent and the three pools clean and warm, we used these everyday and the kids had a ball. All the staff are helpful and can not do enough for you and nothing is too much trouble. The food was great, especially the kids meals (2 courses for £3.99) which included things like chicken nuggets (not the frozen type large pieces of chicken). The only one little point I would like to make is the information book needs updating, as one of the public houses that was recommended was the Wiery Frier (which the food is great- but you do need to book) and it did say that this was 2mins from the house, this would only be 2mins if you had a jet, if going by car takes longer and unable to walk as this is all uphill on the main road which if you meet a car you would need to throw yourself into the brushes because this is very narrow and would not recommend walking down this road at night. I would recommend this place to anyone and well worth trying - we hope to be back soon
