Lakeview Escape at Tenkiller is your home away from home. Escape the busyness of life with a great view of Lake Tenkiller from inside looking through the two-story floor-to-ceiling windows or from outside on the 500+ square foot upper deck. This large, serene, log cabin boasts all the comforts of home and more from a fully equipped modern kitchen, a gas grill on the patio, a full-size ping-pong table in the screened-in breezeway and a large wood-burning fireplace in the 2-story vaulted living room.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the large deck overlooking the lake, always keeping an eye out for the deer and other wildlife that like to frequent the 2-acre wooded property.

Once the lazy day gets going, you can enjoy lounging around the house or deck, play one of the several games or work a puzzle we've provided, or just catch some rays. Spend the afternoon at the beach a few minutes away or at Tenkiller State Park which offers a great swimming pool, playground and hiking trails. You are also only 5-minutes to a boat ramp if you bring your boat with you. Other options are to enjoy the waterfowl and wildlife viewing at Sequoya National Wildlife Refuge. or you can enjoy a drive to Tahlequah for a canoe adventure down the Illinois River.

Enjoy your evening with a home-made meal on the back deck, once again overlooking the lake and watching for wildlife or try out one of the many unique restaurants this area has to offer.

Then, gather the family around the fire pit for some smores or to just watch the fire and reminisce about your day.

After a full day of fun or relaxation, escape back to the cabin for a wonderful night of sleep in one of the many cozy beds in this large, family friendly, log cabin.

Some of the features of this cabin are:
- 4 bedroom, 3 bath cabin which sleeps up to 14 people (no more than 11 adults)
- 3 of the bedrooms have king-size beds, the upstairs bedroom has three bunkbeds.
- Great view of beautiful Lake Tenkiller can be enjoyed while lounging on the deck, sitting by the outdoor firepit making smores or inside warming by the fireplace. We provide the marshmallow sticks you need for the smores!
- Large patio with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating and a coffee table fire pit as well as an outdoor heater and large umbrella.
- Baby friendly with crib, highchair, baby monitors and safety gates everywhere!
- For your entertainment at the cabin, we have internet, four smart TVs with Direct TV, horseshoes, corn hole, several games/puzzles and a ping pong table in the breezeway as well as several toys for your little ones.
- Late October, we enclose the breezeway and set up heaters so you can still enjoy the room.
- Cabin is fully furnished with linens, towels, and a fully equipped kitchen. All you need to bring is your food, drinks, clothes and favorite toiletries.
- Another bonus is that the cabin is beautifully decorated at Christmas!

Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Put deck cushions in the three large deck boxes (only if dry). If wet, place in breezeway.
Fold ping pong table and put away
Put outdoor umbrella down and secure with strap.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Separate electronic rental agreement, sent directly by owner, must be electronically signed within 48 hours of making the reservation.

The Escape at Tenkiller was absolutely amazing! The home was very clean and they have thought of everything needed for a wonderful, relaxing stay away from home. It was very private and excluded from the town life! We enjoyed coffee on the deck to smores in the fireplace! We look forward to vacationing here again!

The house was wonderful for our family. the kitchen was well stocked with supplies for cooking as well as plenty of coffee. There were ample towels and linens and lot's to do for kids - so many toys, ping pong, board games, etc. We enjoyed the firepit every evening as well!

Family Weekend

Family trip to area for Nephews wedding. House was great, had everything we needed. Spent most of time on deck with great views. We could not get over how quiet and peaceful the area is and would definitely stay again.

Wonderful experience

This property is fantastic. The hosts are kind and responsive, the views are phenomenal, and our overall experience was wonderful. I've never stayed in a vacation home that was so thoughtfully stocked with anything a group might need. This trip was just adults, but we have anyway discussed staying again soon with our children as anything a family could need is provided.

Absolutely amazing!

The property is beautiful, and the owners are amazing. We cannot wait to come back here. We had a blast and went on two beautiful hikes. This cabin literally has everything you could possibly need, and with me being 6 months pregnant i can't wait to bring my little boy here one day. The cabin is centered around children which is amazing. Thank you for a beautiful stay.

Family Reunion

This property was great for all 4 generations that stayed here for our annual family reunion. Very kid and adult friendly. They have included everything you need to have a perfect vacation. Perfect escape!

This home has everything needed for a great stay for families or couples traveling together! We stayed with our kids and grandkids and cooked all of our meals there. The deck is huge and was perfect for morning coffee, hanging out, and meals. The younger kids enjoyed the toys in the screened in porch area. The bedroom/bath off the screened in porch was super for us grandparents as we went to sleep a bit earlier and didn’t have to worry about noise from the kids. Great communication and support from owners if needed!

Wow !! The house was amazing ! Went down for spring break with 4 families and had a blast ! Despite a rainy Saturday it was still a great home to watch Movies , play ping pong , prepare meals together, and just visit . I have never been in a vrbo house that was so stocked !! They have thought of everything and plus . Would recommend this house for other friends and family . Plus great beds , sheets , blankets and the toilet paper was better than what I have at home .

Fun with family

Our family had a wonderful time at lake Tenkiller over the July 4th week. Rangling our bunch together always takes some doing. The house is beautiful and peaceful. Plenty of room for everyone. The house is well stocked and taken care of. The views were fantastic. We left rejuvenated and happy. If your taking a boat, I suggest that you get a slip for your time there(which we did being there a week). It’s tough getting one in and out of the area but doable. Thanks for a great time. We will be back.

Perfect place for a get-away.

We loved the gathering spaces both indoor and outdoor. The cabin was cozy yet offers space to get away and appreciate the beauty of Lake Tenkiller. The kitchen was stocked perfectly with everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable and the linens were ample and luxurious. The kids loved the bunk room and the master bedroom away from the main house was wonderful! These owners have left no stone unturned. This is a lovely cabin with every you could possibly need for a beautiful stay. Also this house is meticulously maintained and extremely clean!!! Beautiful views. Quiet neighborhood. We will be back! (Ps: excellent WiFi and huge Direct TV package).

A perfect place for reconnecting with friends

I recently stayed at this property together with a group of high school friends celebrating the 52nd anniversary of our graduation from high-school. For the past 26 years we have gathered annually to share old and new memories and celebrate our friendship. This year we were fortunate to discover Carma and Russ' beautiful home at lake Tenkiller. The stay was just perfect. The expansive decks had 3-4 separate seating areas. Perfect for gathering as a group or breaking up into smaller conversations. The weather was pretty warm but the AC was more than equal to the task. We grilled on the deck, used the entertainment system to watch the College World Series. The property was convenient to other activities. One day we drove to Tahlequah to play golf. Another day we went to Strayhorn Marina and rented a large pontoon boat. We called Carma when we couldn't find the grilling utensils. She had the house keeper purchase another set and bring them to us at the cabin. Incredibly responsive. Our group had guys that came from Los Angeles, Atlanta, Santa Fe,Dallas, Stillwater, Tulsa and Perry, Ok. My group was able to focus on renewing our friendships because Carma and Russ made sure the cabin clean, well equipped. My group is already trying to put together another trip in the fall to enjoy the beautiful fall colors. Thank you Carma and Russ. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Amazing property!!!

You can stop looking for your Lake Tenkiller get-away and book this property. You won’t find any short term rental that has thought more about your comfort and convenience. The property itself is immaculate. All the bedrooms have high quality linens and coverings and good mattresses. You will feel like you are at home. Plenty of space to move around and store your belongings. The closets even have hanging organizers! The living room has reclining couches for almost everyone in the house. No fighting over the comfortable chair. And if you need additional seating, they have folding chairs and table in the laundry room. Perfect for a family reunion. And the kitchen! It has everything you need to cook for one or cook for 21! You can even choose what kind of coffee you want- Keurig, French press or drip. I can’t begin to list everything they had in this kitchen. But if you need it- they have it. And if you forgot to pack something- they probably thought to have it in the cabin. I forgot a charging block for my phone- and they had a USB power strip on the bedside table. The bunk bed had enough plug ins to keep 5 teenage girls happy. And the kitchen had some items you just expect to have on hand and might have forgotten. They even had wood for the campfire available! And they don’t skimp on the household supplies. Full size dish soap, trash bags etc. Some short term rentals limit these so much it becomes hard to keep it all clean. Easy check out too!

This property was the perfect size for our family; 8 adults and 3 toddlers. There was plenty of room; 4 bedrooms, large living room, good sized kitchen and a very large deck. As an added bonus there was a breezeway between one of the bedrooms and the living room that was filled with toys that our three grandsons loved and played with during the entire stay. We were impressed with the fully stocked kitchen. We prepared several family meals during our stay and there were plenty of plates, glasses, cups, utensils, small appliances, etc., etc. All of the large appliances worked well and were easy to operate. There was plenty of parking as we had two cars, two trucks and a bass boat. The fire pit was a bonus with plenty of firewood. Last but not least was the view, it was beautiful. There was a great view of Tenkiller Lake, both from the deck and from inside the house as well due to the very large windows. I would definitely recommend this property.

Fantastic home with everything you need to have a wonderful getaway with comfortable accommodations for a large group. We’ve stayed countless vrbo properties and definitely feel like with this house you get the most bang for your buck. If you forgot to bring something chances are this house has it. We will undoubtedly return annually. If you’re trailering a boat that’s longer than 27 foot you may wanna rent a slip at a nearby marina due to limited length in parking area. A

We live in southern Oklahoma and drive past other major lakes to get to it, but it is well worth the drive! The view from this cabin with the forest covered hills surrounding the sparkling blue water is hard to find anywhere else in Oklahoma. It truly is our dream home away from home.

What makes this property unique

The view of the lake inside the house through the wall of floor to ceiling windows or from out on the huge deck is awesome regardless of the season. The lake is always blue whereas some lakes often look brown. In the fall, the colors are beautiful. The home has such a cozy feel with a lot of wooden walls and ceiling. The quiet wooded setting just makes us feel like we have escaped from all the busyness of our everyday lives every time we go there .
