Our host was responsive and welcoming. Our stay was overall peaceful and quiet aside from a neighbor's dog the roams freely and barked outside our windows our first night. The pingpong table was a blast!
This was our 2nd time to stay at Anchor Away. The boat ramp is super close and there is plenty of room to spread out. Also, having 2 refrigerators is super helpful with a crowd!
Property was great! It was clean! Only complaint is the bugs. It’s Oklahoma in the summer I get it. They were on steroids even keeping g the lights off lol
We had three families of four for the weekend and we were all comfortable with our own space. We enjoyed having two refrigerators! There was ample parking for our vehicles and boat trailer. Cookson Bend Marina is only about a 10 minute drive away. Would stay here again!!
Great beds, very clean place. Property feels private. Only downside is the dozens of little flies that come inside when you open the front door if you have ANY Lights on inside at all. Even in late November, this was a very real problem, with no apparent solution except to just stay inside. If the fire pit is not your thing, just stay inside, I guess.
Affordable and large location very near the water!
The house was large enough for my family of 14 and affordable. It had what we needed and the home owner was very available. She delt with issues that came up extremely well!
We have stayed at this property now for two years. Its nice just not safe for elders the walkway is very treterious. The frige will not shut all the way due to the rubber gasket in the door not on the door. We lost some food due to it getting warm. We booked a new property for next year.
The house was perfect for our group of 6 guys. We were there fishing a kayak fishing tournament. There was plenty of parking and the house had everything we needed. The ping-pong table was a huge bonus. The hosts were very accommodating and quick to respond to any inquiries.
We needed a place to meet up and spend the day with our grown children and grandchildren
who were coming in from others states and towns. This house worked great for us! The older kids loved the game room and the large front yard, the 3 babies and 3 toddlers had
plenty of bedrooms for power naps. A very nice kitchen and the 2 refrigerators were appreciated!
Good property for our guys fishing/golf trip. Only drawback was the 2nd shower (not in the master bedroom). It was small and with the water coming from overhead it made it a little difficult to use.
Our family enjoyed our time together at Anchor’s Away. It had plenty of beds and all the necessary amenities for a comfortable, long, holiday weekend. The ping pong table was a bonus!
We enjoyed our stay at Anchor Away! This is a great location for a crowd! Plenty of beds! The ping pong table in a separate enclosed room was perfect for entertainment. Having two refrigerators was ingenious when having 12 people. Soap was included for washing hands. I have not experienced that before in VRBO's (no matter the cost). The owner was available to respond to my questions immediatley. The only thing I would change would be more dish towels (2avaialbel) in the kitchen, a drying mat for all the hand washing of pots that you have to do for a crowd, and a larger trash bin as we felt like we were constantly emptying the trash when it wasn't completely full. Those are very minor and wouldn't keep me away! We made memories! And in the end, that's what counts!

About the host
Your host
We bought this home as our Family of 4 getaway dream. As Tulsans we really were drawn to this home due to the wooded acreage with no neighbors in sight. Home was completely gutted and remodeled in Spring 2021. Our little girls love exploring the land and we enjoy the ease/calmness of Lake Tenkiller. Unlike other lakes in the area, it is not overcrowded, but still offers tons of Restaurants and Amenities. We named it Anchor Away, because all of four of us have 'A' names, and love anything 'A' related. We hope you book our place and you have an 'A+' stay!!!
