Cozy 2 BR on 1 Acre Property just outside of Boulder
This is a 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath with full size kitchen and living room. Recently remodeled and nicely furnished. Both rooms have comfy queen beds with down comforters and plenty of pillows! There is a single day bed in the den that over looks the back yard. There are horses and chickens at the property and several walking trails nearby. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking and dining and there is a gas grill and fire pit in the backyard. Property is in a quiet rural area with large lots and plush landscape. The guest unit has a private entrance and is half of a duplex and is a completely separated space. It is clean and refreshing with window air conditioners and plenty of fans in the warmer months. If you see comments about Sulley the cat, please note he has NOT been at the property for over 3 years. The back yard is a shared space and dogs are considered upon request. The horses and chickens have their own yards that are fenced off from the main back yard.

Had a remodeling project going on and needed to be out of the house for a month. This property was a terrific solution. Clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Really enjoyed the natural light and horses grazing in the pasture. Very comfortable bed.
Maggie our host was wonderful. She delivered on anything we needed in minutes The place was adorable and fantastic for a pet stay.Very convenient location near groceries, restaurants, and urgent care.
Our stay at this property was perfect. It had everything we needed! Clean and well equipped. Loved the rural feel of it while still being very close to city life. A great jumping off place to explore the area. Will definitely be back.
Location was perfect for us to visit friend in Boulder and explore Estes park. Everything provided was just right... from beds, kitchen and sitting areas. Simply a comfortable place to stay.
Added plus - First time for us to travel with our dog. Location was pet welcoming with toys and fenced in back yard plus a nearby dog park. Maggie/host was more than kind. Enjoyed the horses in back yard and fresh eggs. Thank you.
The unit was clean which is always top priority and the bed was comfortable which is the second priority! Nice feature that I didn’t think was mentioned was a fenced in large back yard that ended at a horse pasture. It was nice to let our dog go off leash and get acquainted with the horses.
I didn’t think the listing was clear that it was a duplex with a renter that has a couple of dogs. This was not a problem but I was unclear on etiquette for use of the yard. The dogs and renter were no issue, just a little awkward.
The location made us feel we were in a country setting that was a short distance to Lafayette and major roads. Thanks for the stay.

Boulder Area Condo
The owner, Maggie, was very nice and responsive. A few small changes could make this a 4-5 star property. The unit is spacious, newly painted, nice appliances. The wifi was very responsive. She refunded the security deposit promptly. The bathroom needs some work. The tub does not hold water and the toilet doesn't flush consistently without taking off the top of the tank and fiddling with the mechanism. The fixtures should either be replaced or cleaned. The kitchen had dirty pans, silverware, and countertops. Simple things like a baking pan, scraper, corkscrew and other basic kitchen items are needed if you want to cook in. The resident cat is very sweet but the cat hair needs to be cleaned much more frequently and the cat needs grooming as it is quite matted and really wants attention. No problem with that but way too much hair on furniture. Supply lint brushes if the cat is resident in the unit. All of these issues can be easily remedied and I believe the owner will do so. If she does, it would be a 4-5 star property. If you plan to visit Rocky Mountain Park a lot, I would recommend staying in Estes Park rather than the Boulder area.
The convenience of the city, with the sweet beauty of Colorado open spaces. The house has spacious light-filled rooms, super comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, plenty of hanging-out space, and--given the cold winter--very effective heating. I loved feeding carrots to Candy, the horse, and would have enjoyed hanging out in the huge back yard to watch her with the other horses (though it was too cold for that during our stay). I also appreciated Maggie's thoughtfulness and quick responses to our questions. Altogether a great place to stay!
Loved our stay at this twin home. We had a family of four visit us for a late Holiday get-together and the house was perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is very well appointed. Bedrooms were very comfortable with huge closets. The living areas were set-up for relaxing. Our dog loved the huge backyard, which was very easy to share with the neighbor's dogs. The location was perfect for our purposes. Maggie was an awesome host and we had excellent communication with her. We will likely rent it again.
We stayed at Maggie’s place for almost a week over Christmas, so we could be close to family in Louisville. Maggie was extremely accommodating, even setting out a twin mattress so that one of my daughters could have a good night’s rest! Enclosed yard was a plus for our dog, though we did a lot of walking with her throughout the neighborhood. We will be back!
What a wonderful place to stay. My dad came in from New York, my daughter from Texas and my husband and myself from New Mexico. The kitchen is amazing, the beds are super comfortable and the back yard was just what my dog appreciated. It was so close to town and yet in the country. I cooked every meal in the house and it was a joy to cook in her kitchen. I cannot say enough positive things. We had so much fun. Thanks.
Overall this place was great and the location is tremendous for traveling to the mountains, Boulder, Lafayette, and Louisville. The host was awesome and was quick to respond anytime we needed to reach out to her. The only real complaint was the fenced in back yard grass was really long. This made it difficult to play out there with our pups and made it not as enjoyable hanging out back there.
Very nice clean little house with all the comforts of home! Beds were extremely comfy & cozy. Would have been nice to have extra towels and the lawn wasn’t mowed so hard to enjoy the yard and patio. Otherwise wonderful!
Great place for relaxing with pets and for privacy.
We stayed for a month with our dog. We all had a comfortable stay and our dog loved the place. The landscaping is natural, green grass and lots of flowering bushes where bunnies and squirrels play. It’s off a busy street, but it’s set far enough back that we didn’t hear anything in the house.
The house has everything we needed and the beds are comfortable.
Maggie is very helpful and a good communicator.
We loved our month in Lafayette, just 5 minutes from my family! The owner even provided us with a Christmas tree and ornaments! Lots of nearby trails for daily walks, easy grocery pickup or delivery, and a location so close to Boulder. I even made multiple loaves of sourdough bread in the roomy oven. It was a sweet stay..
We sold our house and couldn't mover into our new home for 48 hours. Maggie was very welcoming and bailed us out in a pinch. Our family and pets were very comfortable for our two day stay. Thank you, Maggie!
Lovely and large cottage with all the amenities plus a fire pit in the back yard for a fun and safe outdoor visit with family. We especially like the location and the walking paths through the adjacent neighborhoods. Maggie is a delight to work with, attentive to any questions or requests. We will be back!
This was a great place to stay. Quiet country feel to it, yet close to what ever you need. Booked for 3, plenty of space. Although I was surprised with an extra guest (father made it back from a hunting trip the day we checked in), still plenty of room for all. The owner was more than willing to help out with anything we may have needed. It's a place I'd go back and stay whenever I head to that area again.
We were in town for a weekend getaway, Maggie was always in communication with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The place was neat and cozy! We enjoyed our stay! 5 Stars

About the host

I am a CU graduate who fell in love with Boulder and have been in the area ever since. I am an animal lover and enjoy the outdoors and you will likely find us working around the property most days. I like things nice and neat and have created a wonderful space for guests to enjoy. I am laid back but responsible and courteous and look to connect with guests who are respectful and pleasant.
Why they chose this property
This property is one of a kind! It is over an acre and has a rural feel but is 5 minutes from adorable Old Town Louisville and is 10 minutes from Boulder. It is nicely decorated, has hard wood floors in the main living space and new carpet in the bedrooms. There are large windows throughout resulting in a bright and sunny atmosphere. It has an open floor plan and the kitchen is fully stocked for making meals. Guests have been very satisfied and love the atmosphere and location.
What makes this property unique
There is a walking path nearby that heads straight into Old Town Louisville that makes for a great running or biking trail. There is a nice flat hike called Dry Creek a couple miles away that overlooks Baseline Reservoir and has amazing views of the FlatIrons. There is a bus stop a few yards away that runs into Boulder.
