These cabins are just a short drive from NOC and other white-water kayak and rafting companies, which we really appreciated after a long day on the river. Our cabin had an open floor plan. It met all of our basic needs, we were comfortable, and it had a nice deck and hot tub to enjoy at the end of the day. You do need to drive up a gravel road to get to them, but it doesn't require AWD or 4WD. I will stay here again.
We enjoyed our weekend getaway. The cabin was just as described and perfect. The hot tub is visible from other cabins so if you want to go skinny dipping you might want to choose one of their other cabins! The only minor issue we had was the TV picture was zoomed in so a significant portion of the image was cut off and we couldn't figure out how to fix it. Overall a great stay though.
Cabin is even more spacious then it looks, very serene and relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed that I could arrive at my cabin any time after the check in time and did not have to hold anyone up. We came from out of state and it is often super hard to find places as check in has to be no later then 6pm which is often impossible due to travel time. 10/10 would recommend and will likely book again
The bed was a Murphy bed and the mattress was way to soft. It slept terribly. The cabin was clean but dated. The hot tub was nice but would have liked more privacy.

Hi Angel, thanks for your review. After going over your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:
- Thank you for leaving a review. Our team carefully reviews each posting to learn and grow to make the best possible experiences for each person that stays with us.
- Personal preferences for bedding can be a challenge. What one person considers too soft is perfect for others. We do our best to choose mattresses that fit most needs, but sometimes it doesn’t mesh.
- The same is true for cabin style and seclusion expectations. We offer 3D tours on our website, so you get a great idea of what the cabin offers before you book. Our goal is to make sure you have a predictable, fun, and unforgettable adventure with us.
Thank you again for letting us know about your stay, and as always, let us know as soon as you have a concern. Our team is available anytime during your visit to try and accommodate personal expectations.
We enjoyed our time at Nantahala Cabins. With close access to Smokies, all the outdoor activities, train ride in Bryson and breweries, restaurants and grocery. The cabin was super clean! Owner's were very responsive and on site, but non-intrusive. Cabins are spaced so you still have privacy and don't hear other people. Hot tub was in excellent condition, clean and properly chorlinated or brominated (not strong smelling with too free chlorine). Cabin 4 is right near the road, so we had truck traffic noise in the evening and early in mornings. We will be back with the rest of our family for more of the active sports in the future and plan to stay here again.
We had a great time. The hot tub was in excellent condition. The cabin gas fire place kept the place nice and toasty and all the appliances worked well. You are able to hear the traffic on the road a bit, but it is well wooded, so you can't really see the road. If you are looking for basic cabin living, it is sweet and cozy, but no extra frills. The best part (besides the hot tub) was the closeness to hiking and the rivers.
We really enjoyed staying here. The cabin was great and was located close to a lot of outdoor adventures. The hot tub was incredible to relax in after a long day on the river or in the woods. And the campfires at night put our days at a perfect closing.
The cabin was perfect, but the check in process was terrible.
It was a cute cabin to stay in, but the office needs to be relocated. The drive way was terrible. You basically are driving up a mountain side with a gravel drive. The office was so cluttered with junk. Not just papers. Like you walk into a garage of storage. It’s dirty, smelly, and just not a proper way to conduct a business.

Wonderful Holiday Getaway!
The cabin was just what we needed for the holidays. We love to travel with our German Shepherd and we all felt right at home in this fully equipped cabin. After hiking in Tsali, we soaked in the hot tub which was bliss. Would definitely come back.

Relaxing
We enjoyed our stay. The only complaint that I had with our cabin was no mountain view. However, we still would return.
