Waterfront Studio with two Pools, Grills, Pet Friendly

Beautifully appointed waterfront studio-condo located in the peaceful Pirates Bay resort in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

This resort is a hidden gem, providing a quiet, relaxed holiday base in a great location. It is located just outside of the busy tourist areas whilst being only a two minute drive to the beautiful Emerald Coast's white sand beaches on the Gulf of Mexico and eight miles from Destin. There are two large free-form pools to enjoy, grilling stations and beautiful grounds for relaxing.

Our unit is pet friendly (additional charge) and is located on the third floor of the popular ‘A’ building within Pirates Bay. The spectacular views of the Santa Rosa Sound, the private marina, gulf of Mexico and the wonderful sunsets are stunning. Pirates Bay is truly a unique resort, which offers a quiet getaway from normal life.

A306 is decorated to a very high standard, perfect for a couple or a small family of up to four. There is a queen size bed and a queen size sleeper sofa. Everything you need is provided for short or long term stays including a kitchenette with a small 2 burner glass stove, microwave and full size refrigerator; note there is no oven. There is a 40" LED TV with cable/HBO, DVD player, free high speed Wi-Fi, tea/coffee (Keurig) making facilities and a full ensuite bathroom.

The views from the private 3rd floor balcony are one of the great features for a relaxing waterfront stay. Enjoy the two seat bistro set and watch the boats on the Intracoastal Waterway while enjoying a cold drink.

There are two large pools to cool down in or simply lounge around the edge and soak up the sunshine.

A picnic and grilling area is available for guest use. Two grilling stations and two table sets are waiting for a relaxing BBQ whilst watching the boats come and go in the private marina.

Stroll along the marina or take a fishing pole down to the docks and catch some fish, children under the age of 16 do not require a license (please see local regulations for fishing). There are grouper, mullet, sea trout, sting ray and flounder year round (especially during the summer months).

We have a 36 foot boat slip available to rent for an additional fee, currently $100/night, $200/week or $350/month, subject to availability. Please contact us for rates and availability. There are two free boat ramps available for use at Liza Jackson Park, just 1 mile east down the road. Our slip is 6.5 miles from Crab Island by boat to the east and less than two miles to secluded islands to the west.

Bring your own boat or rent one from the the nearby marinas.

Note: All slip renters must provide proof of valid boat registration and liability insurance of $300,000 minimum to use the marina. Please contact us for more information, availability and the additional rates for use of the boat slip.

The resort has an elevator, guest laundry facilities, ice and vending machines and free parking.

Please let us know if you need to use the sleeper sofa when booking so that we can ensure bedding is provided.

Great location
Just like my rating. The property could have been cleaned better. This studio is as advertised. Great for a short stay with one or two people. As for the community grills, they really need an upgrade. Overall well worth the expense.

Comfortable stay with a fantastic view!
This was a small but comfortable studio condo with plenty of amenities. I loved that the kitchen was fully stocked with absolutely anything that you would need for a long or short stay. The balcony and view is spectacular. The only reason for the slightly lower rating is that there was a mix up with cleaning that involved us having to change out dirty sheets from the previous tenant and clean a filthy bathroom. I would also recommend a new pullout couch soon, as it was stained and not very comfortable. The owners, however, apologized for the mix up and had great communication before and during our stay. They were incredibly helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable Stay
Rental was clean and well prepared for our visit. We had trouble with access code and our hosts were very helpful in getting us the information we needed. The weather in early March was wet, windy, and cool on most days but that was to be expected. Tenants around us were a little loud on several nights but we were able to deal with it. Overall it was a pleasant place to stay.

Inside of studio was very nice. Very nice remodeled bathroom. Enjoyed balcony when it was warm enough. Nice sunsets. Nice view of sound. Elevator needed new light. Very much appreciated that they are pet friendly, but dog yard needed to be picked up. Parking lot well lit. Nice to have Olive Garden next door. Very short drive to beach. Short walk to nice park - Liza Jackson; although very busy road. Aimee was great at communication.

The spectacular views of the Santa Rosa Sound, the private marina, gulf of Mexico and the wonderful sunsets were an instant attraction to us. Pirates Bay is truly a unique resort, which offers a quiet getaway from normal life.

After purchase we extensively refurbished the unit with all new furniture and equipment; we continuously maintain the unit to keep it in perfect condition.
