Enjoy the beauty and peace of a country estate and hobby farm while having easy access to all the happenings in Kansas City. Wide open spaces, playground, chicken coop, and beautifully manicured lawns offer a place to come and unwind or return to comfort during a busy stay. Rise early to experience the breath-taking sunrises that we regularly enjoy. Sunsets never disappoint here at Skyview Acres. Guests are free to roam the acreage, fish in the ponds, and watch the chicken scurry around. We created this beautiful little guest quarters to meet nearly every need a guest will have who wishes to have a peaceful getaway. The small kitchen has just been updated and now includes apartment-sized refrigerator and range, microwave, and kuerig coffee maker. New pics will be coming soon. A variety of cooking utensils are available to cook full meals. As owners, we are onsite caretakers who enjoy opening our property for the enjoyment of others. Located just 5 miles from Kansas City International Airport and 1 mile to I-435, access to all the happenings in and around Kansas City is a breeze. We are located in the northland of Kansas City with easy highway access to downtown Kansas City (18 miles), The Legends, and the stadiums. Only a 10 minute drive to Zona Rosa's shopping and dining destination. Kansas City boasts a great art culture and a destination for foodies. The bedroom includes a queen size bed, closet, and sitting area. Our prayer is that you would feel welcome and the peace of God while you are here.

Cute and Cozy

If you want the peace of being in the country, but the convenience of being close to the city, this place is for you!! Due to the size, it’s perfect for two and has everything you need!! After a long day, it felt good to come back and enjoy a comfortable bed while listening to the sounds of nature!! The owners were very hospitable and available when/if needed.

Amazing!!!

The stay was absolutey perfect!! The view is gorgeous with a pond, fire pit, pastures, and chickens! I gathered eggs for breakfast! The room was so cozy and modern! Highly recommend for a country quiet get away!

Peaceful, clean and comfortable!

This was a very clean comfy and peaceful place to stay. We only stayed the night but plan on coming again in the future for a longer stay. Will recommend to all of our traveling family and friends.

Lamar and I enjoy the great outdoors and when we purchased this property in 2007 it had been setting vacant for almost 9 years. Over the years we have worked to create the kind of place where we love to live and come home to. As our guests, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the wide open spaces that we love. Our dream is to continue adding to its beauty as we can. We believe that since God has blessed us with this beautiful space He also means for us to use it to bless others.

Why they chose this property

We like to say that we have the best of both worlds... A beautiful home in the country while living in the city and enjoying all the urban amenities. Having moved from the suburbs of Minneapolis we were ready to get back to our roots - living in the country. Parents of 3 boys, we wanted them to learn the value of hard work, get away from electronic media, play hard outside, and have a place that has plenty of space for family and friends to visit. At the time, Lamar traveled frequently for business so we knew that proximity to the airport was important. We are also foodies, and being close to Kansas City offers us all the wonderful cuisine options that our foodie town has to offer.

What makes this property unique

There is no better views of the sunrise and sunset than Skyview Acres. We didn't have that in the suburbs so when we were moving to KC one of my goals was to find a place that offered good views of at least one of those. We are blessed with both! Evenings when we're home we love to sit on the back deck and enjoy the sounds of nature...Crickets and cicadas, coyotes, and the contented sounds of our own livestock. Since then God has blessed us with 6 beautiful granddaughters and a grandson and it is a joy to watch them run and play on the farm.
