Wonderful family vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation at Lanikai Cottage. The property had everything we needed. We had room to spread out and be together. We had easy access to activities and services/restaurants in Kailua. We also appreciated the help of the property managers. Thank you for a great experience and memories to last a lifetime.

Had a wonderful time! Classic cottage but stylish.

Many affordable homes you can rent in Hawaii are a little dingy and they are almost always appointed in pineapples and kitschy Hawaiian decor. But this property is very clean and refreshed and decorated in a classy way. Loved staying here. Lots of space, lovely pool, and no issues whatsoever. The watersports and beach supplies are also incredibly helpful.

Outside space is even better in person!

The backyard space, short walk to the ocean and VERY well stocked garage with SUPs, kayaks, floaties, toys, and all the necessary beach stuff, are unbeatable for a beautiful, relaxed Hawaiian vacation.

Loved this place

This place was perfect for our family. The house was spacious and clean. The pool area was gorgeous at night with the string lighting . The yard has a variety of plants and birds making it a natural haven. We dined outdoors in the cool evening sunsets recapping our days. We couldn't have picked a better spot away from the crowds and enjoyed every minute of it. Morning walks to the beach and everything you need to have a great day at the beach is readily available.

Beautiful, clean, just like in the pictures

The place was great, just as described - and in near-mint condition. The beach is in short distance and it's a true gem - pristine sand, not crowded. We had tons of fun kayaking and snorkeling. Waking up in the morning with a dip in the pool was a big plus as well. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and everyone we interacted with was efficient and courteous.

Fantastic trip. All you could wish for in a property!

The cottage is in a great location near a beautiful beach. It is also well equipped with kayaks, sure board, snorkels and anything else you could think of! The cottage is spacious and welcoming with all the conveniences you may need and the garden is amazing for chilling in the pool or lounging around. I would highly recommend this property and Elite rentals!

Adooorable Beach Home

Such a wonderful home! The home was as described...charming. Great location close to the beach but with the pool and large backyard it made it hard to leave. The home came with Kayaks which makes it very easy to paddle the Lanikai shore or go out to the Mokulua Islands which was one of our favorite things to do. The guest cottage is also really convenient allowing to rent one property for our family and grand parents (with AC which is a must) rather than two. I would highly recommend this rental!

This is a great property. Great beach access, nice new heated pool, comfortable bedrooms, lots of indoor and outdoor space, lots of TV channels offered, extra suite above garage a huge plus, new laundry, nice grill, nice kitchen. Overall A plus experience. Our management company was A plus too!

Perfect house and location!

We love this property! It is the perfect island home just a short walk to the best beach. The owner has thought of everything a guest would need for their vacation. We had coffee on the lanai every morning watching the sun come up. It could not have been more wonderful!

We had a truly wonderful week at "the cottage". It was clean, welcoming and the perfect home away from home. The location is great, a short walk to the most beautiful beach in the world. We recommend anyone that wants the best vacation to stay here ! It can be as relaxing or as adventurous as you want. LOVED IT !!

Sweet place!

This house is perfect for your stay in Kailua, close to the beaches, town and hiking out the back door. I stayed above the garage which has everything you need. Even the pullout couch is comfortable! House is nice and open...we kept the two doors open all day making it seem like you were never even inside. Freshwater pool is the perfect way to start and end your day. No need to bring any gear, this house has it all (Bikes, boogie boards, kayak, paddle board and snorkeling gear. This is a perfect house for your Hawaiian adventure and I'm sure I will be back.

Beautiful place in beautiful location

Great house in middle of some of world's most beautiful beaches and mountains. Airy 2 br/1 bth main house with an additional studio apartment w/kitchenette above the garage. Fresh water pool a major plus after day at beaches. Exclusive neighborhood without any hotels and within easy driving distance to local town amenities (like whole foods) and Honolulu just about 25mins further. One block from famous Lanikai beach, the owners have stocked garage with kayaks, paddle board, bikes, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, and a long board. Make sure to take a relaxing trip out to the mokes - a trip I'll always remember. All mod cons throughout residences, but aircon rarely necessary. Comfortable clean linens and plenty of beach towels. Front porch and patio in back (incl tiki torches!) - though could use an awning/covering for rear patio. Perfect choice for family or group of friends in idyllic location.

Fantastic!

This was a great house. The beach is a close walk away and was perfect. We grilled fish most nights on the back patio by the pool. The neighborhood is private and nice to walk or bike around. And the upstairs studio is really comfortable, private and has an amazing view!

Perfect location and home for a family vacation in Oahu

We traveled with our 3 teenage kids and quickly settled into our new home for the week. Upon arrival the boys took the large master suite in the detached casita that features a covered porch and a eastward view of the ocean and the Mokes. We got the main-house master bedroom and our daughter the second bedroom. Each bedroom had powerful and silent AC, which we really appreciated on the sometimes warm Hawaiian nights. Massive patio doors open on both sides of the house. We'd typically have them open letting the gentle breeze pass through the main living area..great ambiance for the nightly TV ritual or winding down with a book on the front porch in the afternoon. The private backyard pool and patio area seemed brand new with beautiful deep-blue tile and comfortable, garden setting. We loved taking a fresh-water dip and cooling off after being in the salty ocean. The house, which sits up a bit from the street, feels private and airy and is about a block or so from the one of the best beaches on Oahu. The main town (Kailua) is only minutes away from the house by walk, bike or car. Super easy access to lots of low-key restaurants and stores like Whole Foods, Safeway, Target to stock up on sunscreen and rum. We spent the first half of our trip exploring the island. Typical routine, we'd have a home-made breakfast on the back-porch, pack up some snorkel gear and head off to a beach somewhere on the island, be back early afternoon for a cocktail, whip up a simple, grilled home-cooked dinner...again on the back porch, take dip in the pool and a afternoon walk on Lanikai beach or a hike up to the pill boxes on the hills behind the neighborhood (great for a sunset ritual). The second half, we spent mostly back "home" exploring Lanikai. With so much adventure out of the way we were able to setting in, relax and enjoy the local area. Being in the water all day for a week, all 3 kids got ear infections, but Kailua and Kaneohe had great urgent care, saw us in short order, Walgreens pharmacy...the usual care you'd expect in your hometown. We found a great body surfing/boogie boarding beach a mile away, and loved having such quick access to more causal walks/swimming/snorkeling/kayaking on our beach down the street. We rode bikes for a great final-night dinner at Buzz's to wrap up our stay. The only thing we'd do differently on our next trip...we'd take casita suite and lets the kids take over the main house.
