A Proud Family Legacy on Lake Tarawera:
Greg’s connection to Lake Tarawera runs deep — it’s a place rich with family history and fishing tradition. For generations, his grandfather and father were passionate anglers, spending countless hours on the lake in pursuit of the legendary rainbow trout that Tarawera is famous for. These trophy trout continue to inspire seasoned anglers and newcomers alike to cast a line and try their luck in these crystal-clear waters.
While you're relaxing in the lodge, don’t miss the family’s captivating fishing tale, "The One That Got Away". It's a must-read, full of adventure, humour, and heart — a true piece of local lore that captures the spirit of fishing on Lake Tarawera. You'll find it in the lounge, just waiting to be enjoyed.
