A comfortable and very well liked tastefully furnished 3 bedroom holiday home at Lake Tarawera! An excellent location with good lake views, sunny position with ample deck space, close to the boat ramp, good parking and driveway for those with trailer boats! This property also features on my own 2 Lakes site if your preference is to deal directly and with no fees.

The property is just 200 meters from Solitaire Lodge should guests wish to treat themselves to a top end dining experience. Te Karamea bay with its sandy beach providing the best swimming beach is accessed via Cliff Road, but a short walk away.
There is a double mattress available that can be pulled out of the bedroom and set up on the living room floor thus accommodating up to 8 people.

Linen (Bedsheets, pillowcases, and towels) are mandatory at this property now and you will have been charged at $35 per person for the stay when responding to your booking request.

Absolutely wonderful stay for a wedding at Black Barn up the road. We loved the bird life and the warm and welcoming space. Really comfortable beds and great access to the lake!

Lovely and clean with great deck and sunshine. Missed the 'iconic' mountain view and not the easiest property with a trailer boat (as owners boat is parked in carport) but manageable. Overall a nice property.

Awesome location, fantastic bach

It is so wonderful to stay in a place that is so well appointed! Everything we needed was right there - including a well-stocked pantry - and it all worked! The bach is extremely comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Norman was fantastic to deal with, and responded very quickly to any enquiries. Lake Tarawera is one of my new favourite places. We hope to come back soon.

Beautiful home, well equipped. Remote and private. Bring your own kayak rack if you want to paddle. We swam in the lake every morning. Shop for food/essencials in town before leaving Rotorua.

Lovely, comfortable house in idyllic bush setting with plenty of bird life, kereru everywhere! Boat access to the property is a little tricky but manageable. We appreciated being able to bring our little dog. Aircon was a bonus too.

House was very comfortable and spacious. Unfortunately there were no towels and linen on arrival which was disappointing. Personal belongings were found in the cupboard? Generally all was fine and stay was enjoyable. House and kitchen was well equipped.

Wedding weekend

The house was lovely and the location was private with beautiful views. We really loved sitting on the deck and watching all the birds with the sound of the water in the background. Place had everything we needed and was well presented with lots of space. Thanks for having us!

Classic Lake Tarawera holiday home

Very enjoyable property that is well appointed. Great location with nice views out over the lake and Mt Tarawera, the house is private with plenty of trees and bush around the property. Two connecting driveways works well. Very clean and comfortable house, a new bathroom and laundry downstairs was welcomed. Heating was easy with two large heat pumps and the added bonus of a wood burner. Overall a nice property to stay at.

Our stay was very memorable as we spent the weekend boating on the lake. The house was very clean, warm and comfortable. There was good parking for the boat trailer. Great communication with both the house keeper and the property manager.

Relaxing get away

This is our 2nd time staying here. A great relaxing get away. Fantastic fire and heat pumps. All you need in the kitchen. Exc games books etc. great beds and extra blankets . Communication with house keeper re check in etc was superb, such a kind lady. Bottom bathroom superb, Top floor bathroom is a little tired but adequate. Great location, bird song and birds around is a real treat. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

What a beautiful part of the lakes district. Norman gave clear instructions for our stay. We were treated to a lovely home surrounded in bush. We awoke to native birds even bell birds. A view of the lake also. Thank you.
