About this property
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION - UNIQUE ROOF TERRACE & CASTLE VIEWS
Our 2 bedroom Fisherman's cottage is just a short stroll from the harbour, nestled within the highly sought-after medieval walls of Conwy. Unique and beautiful views of the Castle, Conwy Estuary and mountains beyond from a private spacious, sunny, roof terrace. An ideal all-year holiday base for exploring the mountains and beaches of North Wales.
Located against the 13th century town walls with no passing traffic, Castle View Cottage is perfectly located to make the most of all the amenities and attractions of Conwy and just minutes away from stunning countryside and lovely beaches.
Lovingly restored and furnished to modern standards whilst retaining charm and character of a 200 year old cottage. The spacious lounge/diner features a cosy open fire and the light and airy breakfast kitchen has wall to wall windows to make the most of the outlook over the 800 year old castle tower and Medieval town walls. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms (double and bunk bedroom) and shower room with walk-in shower, basin and wc. Due to the age of the property please be aware that the stairs may be steeper and narrower than usual.
The spacious roof terrace is a sun trap during the summer months and perfect to enjoy breakfast alfresco or a relaxing drink during the evening enjoying the sunset. Outside, the cottage has a breakfast deck off the kitchen and access to a shared sitting area set within an 800 year old tower - always a hit with our younger visitors!
We are well equipped for families, with travel cot, stairgate, high chair and toys. We have a small library of family DVDs, games, books and local walking guides. There is also a flat screen TV, DVD player, fast fibre wi-fi, CD player, Roberts Radio, smart TV BOSE soundock system with wireless Bluetooth.
Our rental rates are fully inclusive of all heating, utilities, wifi, bedding and towels. WE OFFER LAST MINUTE DISCOUNTS & WELCOME SHORT BREAKS OCT-APRIL. Please Ask Owner so I can quote correct price before booking as this site does not allow us to set discounts for longer stays.
Everything is made up ready with quality 200 count cotton bed linen, towels and complimentary essentials for a self-catered holiday.
All the town's facilities are within a two minute walk of the cottage including interesting shops, tearooms, restaurants, the old harbour and historic buildings.
The ancient coastal town of Conwy, on the edge the Snowdonia National Park, is an ideal base to explore the region's beaches, mountains and other attractions. A huge range of outdoor pursuits are available, including walking, mountain biking, climbing, bird-watching, and sailing. Wide sandy beaches and the marina are within walking distance, and some of the best coastal and mountain walks in the Country start from the doorstep!
Our region is the adventure capital of Europe with Fforest Coaster, Zip World, and Bounce Below to mention but a few all within a 30 min drive or less.
Please do not hesitate to contact me using the Ask Owner link if you have any questions or would like to discuss the suitability of the cottage before booking. We do occasionally host dogs so please let us know if you have any pet allergies before booking.

Please do visit our website for lots more information on our home and local area.
We love to welcome guests to our homes and share the beautiful surroundings and nature. My working life has been dedicated to cleaning our world's oceans of marine debris and plastics - as a family we try our best to live in a sustainable way and tread carefully on our planet.
We love nature, mountain biking, sailing, walking, exploring the world in our early 70's VW bus.

Why they chose this property
We spent a long time looking for the perfect fisherman's cottage in Conwy within the town walls but without passing traffic . It also had to have the 'wow' factor. As soon as we got a glimpse of the view from the kitchen we were sold! The view from the roof terrace is even better! We maximised that unique view with the installation of full length windows in the kitchen (knocking through 2 foot solid stone walls). The house was completely renovated whilst trying to keep the character of the 200 year old cottage. We believe Conwy is the perfect base to enjoy everything on offer in North Wales - unbeatable coastal and mountain walks, plenty of attractions within a short walk or drive, beautiful beaches and Snowdonia National Park on our doorstep.
