Menai Bridge Lovely seafront cottage with beautiful views of the Straits

Brookland is a lovely cottage in a remarkable setting overlooking the beautiful Menai Straits and with views of the historic Menai Suspension Bridge. The cottage is located in a tranquil area but is also close to attractive restaurants, pubs, the Anglesey Coastal Path and town amenities and shopping.

Brookland is a comfortable cottage. It has two double bedrooms and a smaller bedroom furnished with bunk beds that is ideal for children. It has a newly refurbished family bathroom. Downstairs there is a kitchen / dining room, living room, utility room and a downstairs toilet.

The kitchen / dining room has a French door giving on to a patio area with spectacular and unique views of the beautiful Menai Straits and all its associated bird and wildlife. The South-facing patio is equipped with table and chairs and can be used as an eating area throughout the day. To the rear of the property there is a paved yard. The property has central heating and is extensively double glazed.

What a stunning location! We will be back! We did arrive in the middle of a cloudburst which did nothing to help us find the cottage. The instructions are a little ambiguous, so maybe Simon could use What 3 words to more clearly define the location of the gate we needed to find!

Fantastic Location

The property has an amazing location and a short stroll into Menai. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and a great base to explore Anglesey. The house was tidy and comfortable and had everything needed to enjoy our stay - will be back.

The location is stunning. Beautiful views across the straits and of the fascinating suspension bridge. Property has everything you could need and is close to all of the amenities. Plenty of options for food and drink and boat trips and rib rides aplenty. Always good to come back here.

A "swellie" place

We found Brooklands clean, bright and comfortable with good WiFi, linens and kitchenware. It is right on the straits and virtually under the Menai Bridge. The town is a 5 minute walk away and has a good selection of restaurants and bars, facilities and activities. Waitrose is also conveniently only 5 minutes away. A visit to Church Island and a trip with RibRide are recommended.

Gorgeous views

The house was lovely and well equipped. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we couldn't make use of the balcony but the big windows made up for it. The steps are quite slippy when wet but are fine as long as your careful. The parking space was easy to find.

perfect place to stay

Traveling to visit northern Wales for some days, Brookland was the perfect place to stay for touring around as well as for mid-february all-day rain and storm. So we not only enjoyed the fantastic landscape but also the cosiness of the house with looks out to Menai Strait and -Bridge and the nearby facilities of the small town. The house is nicely decorated and well equipped with nothing missing, making us feeling home from home within the moment. The owner was very helpful, making contact and communication easy. We would definitely like to come back.

Menai

Obviously the main attraction of the property for us is the location. It is right on the banks of the Staits and next to the suspension bridge, the view is fantastic from all the main rooms in the property and a balcony/ patio what more could you ask. The property is clean, comfortable and cosy. Not modern but everything you need is available from maps to dishwasher, we certainly wanted for nothing. The location is also ideal to explore the island and the mainland. PERFECT!

Short stay

I travel regularly and this was one of those ‘more than just a place to stay’ properties. The views across the Menai Straits and of the bridge made it an experience in itself. Clean and tidy, the house was well prepared for my arrival. The heating was on I was provided with all the information I needed for my short stay (three nights) Dedicated parking space a minutes walk away, but any loading and unloading is possible behind the property. Everything is as described and I would certainly recommend this property.
